Appearance: Rowan has spiky, slightly longish red hair, with two strands over his face, and normally amber eyes, which turn bright pinkish red when he uses his offensive semblance. As per usual lion faunus standards, he has lion ears and a tail, his canines more pronounced and pointed. He usually wears his trademark jacket, black with a furry hood, when outside of the shop due to it smelling of smoke from time to time and his fear that it would harm his plants. Inside the shop, he dons a white apron, both of these having his symbol on the right side of the chest. He has a several scars on his right thumb which he calls his 'green thumb' despite the fact that he got these from thumb sucking as a baby. Height wise, he is 6'2"

Face Claim:

History: Rowan was born to two parents who worked with plants, his father a botanist and his mother a florist. Growing up, he was a trouble maker, getting into fights and missing school, the only way he passed Sanctum being his exemplary fighting skills and potential when it came to taking multiple opponents at once. His behavior did not help him too well with Beacon though, getting him delayed by a year before he finally got in. For the first year of schooling, he stayed there almost exclusively. Eventually, his parents moved to the countryside to retire, leaving Rowan to take care of the shop, lovingly named 'The Lion's Mane' after him, on his free days  in hopes to help curb his violent tendencies.

At first, running the place was a completely foreign topic to him. Vigorous studying (fueled by his annoyance at not knowing anything about his parents' work) brought him to knowing each flower, plant, and how to care for them by heart. He still had his bad side and got into fights but the flowers gave him a place to relax and be happy, developing a liking for things he found endearing or beautiful. To one group of street kids, a team of five varied faunus in their early years, he was a terror, scaring them off when they passed the time in front of The Lion's Mane. Eventually, he warmed up to them and them vice-versa seeing him as a kind of older brother, letting them stay and help around the place but still bonking them on the head if they messed up.

Personality: On the outside, he looks like a thug. Very brutish and violent. Though not completely, this is true to an extent. He is self-assertive and stern voiced with a reputation of beating up people who annoy him too much, though this has lessened since he took over The Lion's Mane. When confronted by particularly irritating people, such as teenagers who loiter outside his shop, he is quick to approach them, cracking his knuckles with a menacing look on his face, usually scaring them away. Inside his shop, or anywhere with plants however, Rowan is distinctly more calm and collected, his voice softer, more relaxed, and much more accommodating. Another notable trait is his fondness for all things cute, Rowan gaining an unmistakable glint in his eye at the sight of something he finds adorable or beautiful. He has a particular dislike for people who destroy plants for no reason though.

Strength: In his preferred fighting style, Rowan's arms move incredibly fast as he moves through the fight. Swinging his weapon in wide and fast arcs, moving through a fight parrying and slashing his weapon around him. With this method, he is able to deflect light blows from all around him. He is also fairly agile, able to dodge attacks if need be.

Weakness: For one thing, Rowan lacks any form of body armor, only wearing his civilian clothes. Another weakness is his lack of ranged attacks. His weapon offers a good six feet of reach but still, he lacks any form of firearms or dust attacks. Rowan's distinct lack of power in his attacks is also a factor, his slashes having little stopping power to them and glancing off strong armor. His blocking is also sub par, light attacks are easily parried or deflected. Strong attacks though, he can block, but it takes a lot of effort on his part and is still very likely to be pushed or knocked back.

Semblance: Golden Dandelions: Rowan's aura manifests itself as up to three orbs of light, their size variable from baseball to basketball sized. Normally, they are orange-gold colored, smiling depending on Rowan's mood. In this form, they can simply light up areas, scout for Rowan, coming back to tell  him what they saw, and push/lift objects light enough for Rowan to carry by pressing it between two orbs. The orbs also have some form of communication with Rowan, consisting of high giggles and incoherent noises that he understands.

However, these orbs also have an offensive mode. Turning red and angry, the orbs can be launched at the speed of an average punch, the large orbs being able to crack concrete on impact and break through wooden doors and other similarly breakable structures while the smaller orbs have the same effect as a normal punch. Afterwards, it takes a few seconds to a minute for them to be able to launch again, causing him to pull them back if used to attack an enemy so they don't die. When in this form, Rowan's eyes turn a bright pinkish-red, emitting the same glow the orbs do.

The drawback though is that, when struck by an outside force that is strong enough to deal a decent amount of pain (i.e. not just a playful slap, but a punch), the orbs dissipate almost immediately, usually emitting a high pitched and pitiful scream. If struck, Rowan feels the same amount of pain that the orb would have felt, for example, feeling a sword go through his chest or someone slapping his face, but not take the physical damage. Once 'dead' it takes a few minutes before Rowan can reform it.

WEAPON

Name: Razor Ivy

Primary Form: A 6 and a half foot long scythe with a set of shears for the blade, both the inside and outside edges sharpened. The motion of the shears is controlled by pressing the levers on the grips. The bite on from the shears being strong enough to cut through chain or cable with ease, wood proving no match. The head of the weapon can also rotate, making it easier to swing back and forth.

Ivy Razor:

Secondary Form: In this form, the shears close and fold down, the lower half of the weapon folding forwards and the tip of the blade locking into place, folded downwards. In this form, the shears obviously cannot function. However, the weapon can still be used as an unwieldy machete of sorts.

Folded:

History: Inspired by ordinary garden shears, Rowan wanted to incorporate it into his weapon and settled on a garden shear-scythe combination. Later, he added, the folding capability as it was too long to bring in most indoor places.

Looks good, approved 1/2.

On the other hand, I'm almost entirely against the semblance. It legitimately seems to only have positives. Light for him, scout for him, carry for him, kind of fight for him, and the downside is only a few minutes of cooldown? I don't agree with this at all. We can discuss changes in private if you'd like, but I can't see myself approving the current state.

I feel the semblance may need changes as we learn more about aura and semblances, but I'm fine with this as it is. However, I want you to cut down the maximum number to three, and to add that the larger the orb, the slower it is.
