A Thief's Aspire

Subject: A Thief's Aspire Mon Feb 17, 2014 11:15 pm

Thorn walked in the silent night into the circus grounds. She walked past the main entrance and over to a side gate leading to where the trailors were. She had her hood over her head and the rest of her cloak pulled tight around her body, close enough to where you could see her form. She held her hood with one hand as it began to rain slightly. A light clap of thunder could be heard in the backround and she began to increase her pace. She approached the trailer she designated to be the correct one and removed her hand from her hood to knock. She thought to herself, "If I want to feel happy....I need to become a better thief...I hope this lady will help me...and hopefully she's not too pretty...that wouldn't end up well..." She waited a few moments hoping the person was there. She sighed thinking she may not be here, but possibly somewhere else.

From behind the door smooth jazz was playing on an old record player and mumbling. "Oh my god Johnny, for the last time, dont come to my trailer after shows!" The door flings open with Izzy holding a red juggling ball about to throw it. Wearing a robe over her body, tied tightly over her frame and (rarely seen) no make up on, Isabelle looks down at the young girl. "A fan? At this hour?"

"N-not a fan...your a thief...r-right?" The quiver in Thorn's voice made it clear that she was slightly scared, but also slightly pleased that she happened to be here. She pulled her hood off and said, "Allow me to introduce and explain myself...I'm Thorn Stradaise and I want to become a better...thief...so I heard that there was a really good one...around here...so I thought you could help me Miss..."

Izzy's eyes widen as she grabs Thorn and throws her inside the trailer. "Dont say that out loud!" Izzy said in a yelling whisper. Standing up straight and running her hand through her hair she walks over and turns off her music and picks up a small glass of whiskey. Izzy then turns around and takes a sip and crosses her arms. "The name is Isabella...call me Izzy but first thing's first. 1. How'd you know I am a thief? 2. How do you not know who I am? and 3. Would you like a drink...." She looks at Thorn up and down, guessing her age. "...of water?"

Thorn stood frazzled looking at the woman as she was just pulled in the door. She began to lighten up as she was offered a drink...of water. She replied by saying, "Got any whiskey or alcohol in here? I am 18 you know..." She looked at Izzy thinking that she probably guessed her age wrong, with her young feminine appearance, who could properly guess her age. She said, "Well, one of my friends was talking about a 'terrible' thief who could steal almost anything...but she didn't say her name...she also managed to deduce that she was in the circus...So I looked up a list of performers...and I narrowed it down to 2 people and I just assumed it was you... And the information I was looking at didn't exactly state your name...it only said 'PER #1' next to it..."

Handing a glass of whiskey to Thorn, Izzy sighed. "Well...this friend isnt smart. Everyone knows I'm a thief pretty much. They just cant catch me." Izzy takes another sip of her drink and sets the glass on the table. "If you excuse me..." She said as she walks into the bathroom, leaving the door open to continue the conversation as she gets dressed. "So, Thorn, is it? Why do you want to become a better thief? Want to steal something big?" Poking her head out the door along side half her undressed torso (doorway covering her chest), Izzy tosses a pendant at Thorn. "Nice pendant by the way." She said with a smirk as she goes back into the bathroom.

Thorn takes down a mental note which says 'don't get caught...obviously...' She watched Izzy exit and start to change in the bathroom. She turned her head a bit to get a better view but decided it would be best not to...and she blushed at her actions a little embarrassed at her tastes. Her reflexes were fast as her hand reacted fast and caught the pendant. She said, "How did you!? I don't even!?" Thorn grinned with a new found passion and said, "That's amazing..." She raised the glass to her lips and took a sip of the whiskey taking it all in. She hoped she wouldn't get drunk, after all she was hoping to become a thief.

Coming out of the bathroom in a t shirt and pj pants, Izzy plops down on the couch. "So. You didnt answer my question. Why do you want to be a better thief?" She crosses her legs and leans back in the couch, raising an arm offering her a seat next to her. "And sit down, you're making me nervous."

Thorn takes off her cloak revealing her combat attire. She throws her cloak on the floor close to the couch within arms reach. She takes a seat on the couch rubbing her tired eyes as it was late in the night. She said to Izzy, "Well, I want to be a better thief because in all honesty...thievery is all I have left to do... anyways, If I want to survive outside of Beacon... I need to learn some skills..."

"And you chose me..." Izzy said to herself out loud. "WELL!" She stood up and stretching before turning around to face Thorn. "To be a good thief, is not in the skill of stealing, but getting away with it." Izzy said with a smile. "Tomorrow, Ill be performing in the show, as I am a performer and all. And tomorrow is my escape artist performance. If you REALLY wanna know how to escape, come." Looking at Thorn's tired eyes, Izzy frowns. "You wanna stay here tonight? Its raining and you look like...well....crap."

"Sure, I am sort of tired...WAIT! I don't look that bad do I? What's looking crap? My hair? My outfit? My chest?" Thorn begins to look herself over checking for imperfections. She soon calms down not noticing anything wrong. She says, "And of course I'll be attending tommorrow..." She still held the pendant in her hands and finally strung it back around her neck.

((LOLTIMESKIP))

The circus went from a dark dismal place to a large bustling colorful arrangement of people of all ages. A large circus tent rises from the ground where all the children drag their parents into, making sure they dont drop their cotton candy. Inside the tent there was an assortment of activities going on. "The bearded lady". "The Amazing Grimm Human! (just a guy in black paint)", and the attraction that got most attention, "The Unescapable Box of Death". On the stage stood a large metal box, with the doors open. On the door were spikes and chains laid around the box, waiting for it to be chained shut.

On the stage also stood Izzy, leaning against the box waiting for more people to arrive, keeping an eye out for her protege.

Thorn finally entered the large cone shaped tent as she walked over to the stands taking a seat in the front row. In her hand she had a small bag of peanuts taking one occasionally. She looked all around the tent seeing different attractions. She looked at one that just seemed to be a guy that had black paint on. She curled her eyebrow in curiosity and finally spotted Izzy. She gave a small wave signifying she was there. She thought to herself, "Will I learn how to 'really' escape? Or is this just going to be a free show and peanuts..."

Smiling, straightening up and throwing her hands in the air she yelled to the audience. "Ladies and Gentlemen, I the great Isabella Mesmer will not be doing this trick today!" As soon as she finished the sentence people groaned and sounded frustrated. But before anyone could leave, she continued. "Oh no, I will not, but, do not fret young and old fans alike! I shall have my assistant do this trick. Be wary, she is new, but that adds twice the excitement dont you think?!" The crowd cheered and clapped for the surprise assistant. "Now! Ladies and Gentlemen, May I introduce my new assistant: Thorn Stradaise!" She yelled, extending a hand to Thorn from the stage.

Thorn let out a small girlish yelp as she heard what Izzy just said. She put her small bag of peanuts on the bench and moved over grabbing Izzy's extended hand. She gave her a worrisome look while she twiddled her thumbs. She thought to herself, "I wasn't made out for magic...I don't even know what to do..." Thorn looked towards the audience putting on a genuine smile as she took a small bow. Then backed up to where Izzy was standing. She whispers only loud enough so Izzy could hear, "What now..."

"Number 1 rule of being trapped....Dont panic." Izzy whispered back before turning to the crowd. "So, Who wants to see her get in this box!?" The crowd cheers and applauds for the newcomer on the stage. "Ok....Who wants to see BOTH of us get in this box?!" The crowd cheers louder as Izzy opens the door wider of the box and steps inside. "We will stand in this box, handcuffed together as the box will be covered with chains and barbed wire to prevent our escape!" A man walks from the side of the stage and hands Izzy 2 pairs of handcuffs, one for each wrist and walks off. "So who's ready!?...are you?" She said to the crowd then to Thorn.

Thorn nodded silently thinking to herself, "I'll be calm...Calm and cool...HANDCUFFS? Oh no...I don't like handcuffs...although it may be nice being handcuffed to another lady..." Thorn took both pairs of cuffs putting her wrists in an open slot from each cuff. She held her arms out showing Izzy that she put them on and was ready for her. Thorn tried to put on a cheesy smile but failed to do so looking a bit awkward, but it wasn't very noticeable.

Taking the cuffs in her hands, she cuffed her wrists to Thorns. In one swift motion, she pushed herself into the box, brining Thorn in with her. The box was meant for 1 person so they were very close to each other's faces. "Comfortable?" Izzy grunted as she tried to adjust her arms. All of the sudden the box slams shut with the crowd cheering. "Give them a few for the crew to put the chains on it." Izzy said calmly. "Did I mention we are going to be submerged in water too?" Izzy said with a smile. "But remember, dont panic...and try not to step on my toes or lean forward." She attempted to say, as she tried not to squish her face against Thorn's chest.

Thorn gave a small squeak noise as she is pulled in the very tight box. She begins to blush as she notices how close she actually was to Izzy. She heard her mention water and she said, "If there's no fire, I'll be fine..." Thorn flinched as she sneezed in an instant. She pulled her head to the side barely avoiding Izzy. She was launched forward and did exactly what Izzy said to try and avoid doing. She blushed again as she realized where Izzy's face actually was...

"Nope, no fire" Izzy smiled which quickly changed as her assistant's chest was shoved in her face. "HEY watch it!" Izzy yelled, emerging her face from Thorn. A rumble of the box sent her back into Thorn's chest again as the box was lifted up. "Ok, So..." She said emerging once again. "Once we hit the water, it will flood in here pretty fast. We only have a couple minutes to decuff ourselves and to get out before we drown. Just follow my lead and we will be ok...which reminds me. Any thing you would like to say before we go under?"

As the other rumble of the box sent Throrn into izzy again she let out another small squeak. "Okay, I should be fine...I can hold my breath for a long time too, just in case!" As she heard Izzy tell her if she wanted to say anything, she thought to herself that this could potentially be her new 'senpai'. She said, "I-I like girls!" As she closed her eyes bracing for the water to come in.

"WAIT WHA-" Izzy yelled as the box hit the water with a loud splash, sending in water through the cracks at a tremendous speed, instantly flooding the box. Under the water, Izzy looked at Thorn but shakes her head as she lifted on hand along with Thorn's and shows her the cuff. Squinting at Thorn, she moved her other hand into a small pocket in her pants, making sure to know where Thorn's hand is at all times and pulls out 2 pins. Handing one at Thorn's raised hand she motions her to pick the locks.

Let's see how she handles a timelimit....but seriously...she decides to tell me she likes girls now?!

Thorn blushes as the water rushes in and realizes it was probably an awkward time for her to say that... She notices 2 pins. She nods to Izzy taking one. She brings the lock down to her left cuff as she puts it in the lock and jimmies it for a few seconds before it becomes loose and it comes off. She repeats using her left hand on the right arm. After she is free of the cuffs she gives an approving nod to Izzy.

Smiling then frowning, Izzy looks at Thorn. Her eye squints a little as she realizes she needs air. This.....is going to suck... Izzy thought to herself as she pulls Thorn to her face and kisses her, taking some of Thorn's air for a brief second. Looking into Thorn's eyes she gives her a look saying "Dont think about it" and then takes the pins from Thorn's hands and uncuffs herself. With the cuffs floating down she points to the walls of the box, showing the box is wooden and getting weaker to water. Using as much force as she can muster, she kicks a small hole in the wall, where luckly the chains outside werent placed and tries to make the hole bigger.

Thorn felt fine, she had taken a deep breath before the water flooded in and she was prepared for the water. She kept holding her breath until she noticed Izzy looking at her. She shrugged, but she was suddenly kissed in the lips by her and she blushed heavily. She was about to open her mouth and say something when she realized the situation they were in. She noticed Izzy beginning to kick the now weakened wall. After a few kicks from Izzy, a Thorn pulled back her leg far enough to attempt to send a kick into the weakened area. She sent her leg flying at the wall hoping the hole would become a bit larger.
