Name: Natalie Hayward

Occupation: Student

Appearance: A ferret faunus. Natalie stands in at just over 5’5” (165 cm). Her ears match the color of her head (Brown haired), except for the tips of them, which are white. Her tail is slightly shorter than average, but makes up by being fairly fluffy/bushy. The tail is mostly brown, but does have a black tip. Under her semblance, Natalie’s hair turns bleach white, including her ears and tail, and her eyes turn red.

History: Even though Natalie is a faunus, she was born into a moderately wealthy family. Her father was entrepreneur who was able to hide his race long enough to accumulate a fairly large fortune before Natalie was born, and her mother was an accomplished hunter that was able to also keep her race hidden once she became involve with Natalie’s father. There was a problem with Natalie’s birth, as in to keep up the appearance that they were normal humans. A doctor would instantly know something was up. Her father attempted to hide it by having Natalie be brought into the world by a midwife and paid her handsomely to keep quite.

Not long after, the midwife still gave away their secret, forcing her father to withdraw from his company. Her father feared that their success would attracted un-wanted attention, knowing that there were people that held a deep hatred for faunus that had success in the world. They were forced to relocate to Vale from almost halfway across the world. Natalie, who was already keen on becoming a hunter like her mother, trained every day under her.
Then came the day that her father’s fears came true. At the age of 14, Natalie had just recently created her first weapon, Zephyr, not long ago, and was out to pick up groceries when she was followed. She was cornered by a notorious assassin, Natasha Fay. She pulled her revolver out in an attempt to fend her off. As Natasha crept closer as Natalie shook violently, worried that she was about to die. In fear, she used her semblance that was awaken by her mother while training with her, by accident.

She was able to keep herself hidden from the following commotion involving the loud shot and managed to return home. Over the next few days, she began to notice some odd occurrences. She was having moments of blackness. She was having problems remembering certain parts of the day, and could remember how she wound up in some places. Then came the day when she blacked out for almost the entire day. When she finally came to her parent were holding her down, noticing her knife was covered in blood, and one of the maids lying face down on the floor. She had apparently almost killed one of their trusted maids.
After explaining what had happened a few days ago with Natasha, and finding out that her semblance was no longer working. She was kept under constant watch and her parents concluded that she had absorbed some of Natasha and couldn’t release it since she had killed her. After a few years of intense training to help her control her new power, she was able to convince her parents that she was able to keep herself under control and attend Beacon academy.  

Personality: Natalie is pretty bossy and snooty. She follows her own stick code of conduct, and often expects others to do the same. Natalie also has a habit of being a perfectionist. Everything has to be just right in her eyes. She also thinks quite highly of herself. She rarely wants to rely on anyone, and if she ever does rely on anymore, it is because she’s in a desperate situation.

While under her semblance, she becomes unpredictable with an overall attitude leaning to her being malicious. During this time, she does not value a single person’s life. She sees other people as a waste of space, often toying with people before ridding of them.

Strength: Natalie is a fast fighter. She relies on quick slashes and avoiding hits. She has great endurance and can keep up a fight for long lengths of time if she manages to avoid taking hits.

Weakness: Her only long range option is a revolver with a lot of kick and a relatively weak pistol. If she isn’t careful, she could easily break her wrist. Her strength is also well below average since she trains solely on being fast. Also, the reliability of her semblance is something no one can ever trust. Not only is her second half out for herself and can't be trust, even during a fight Natalie could win control back over her body, leaving her immobilized while she recovered.

Semblance: Natalie’s semblance is a little odd. Originally, Natalie had a powerful semblance. She could access the abilities of any target by absorbing their soul, leaving behind a lifeless body for a while before hitting a time limit and only one at a time. Following the events in her history with Natasha Fay, her semblance took a change, now that she held a soul that couldn’t be released. When it activates, Natalie basically becomes a different person. Her appearance and personality change, as well as improving her speed and skill with her knives. She still has the basics of her old semblance, but can only access the abilities of Natasha.The downside is the unpredictability of her semblance. She cannot intentionally activate her semblance. The other her seemingly chooses when to come out, taking advantage of weak moments or forcing herself out. Natalie normally tires to fight her, and has gotten better over time at forcing her down.

WEAPON

Name: Zephyr and Nashor

Primary Form: Zephyr is a bowie knife, and Nashor is a combat knife. Often wields them with a reverse grip. The knives have compartments for dust in the handle, and often uses them with lightning dust.

Secondary Form: Zephyr’s secondary form is a revolver. Fires a large caliber bullet for long range shooting. Fires a .44 Magnum dust bullet, commonly a bullet tipped with fire dust, for an explosive impact.  Also uses kinetic powder to fire the bullet with more power, but gives it heavy recoil.
Nashor’s secondary form is a smaller caliber pistol with a large magazine, for a much more comfortable mid ranged option. It sacrifices power for easy to control recoil. The gun commonly uses ice dust with its bullets to slow down targets for a clean shot from Zephyr.

Other Form: Both knives can be formed together make a short katana. It can tap into the knives’ dust reserves to use any dust available (but most commonly uses lightning dust since that’s what she uses on her other two).

History: Her own creations. She originally created Zephry as her first weapon, but following the night she was attacked by Natasha, she realized a lot of design flaws and drafted up Nashor’s design a few days later.

I need more details on the semblance. What skills are effected, and how, when the 2nd personality activates? I would also like to see some balance there. It's mentioned that her skills all improve, but there should be at least one that is effected negitively.
