Personality:Aurelia is a very social creature. She likes to have fun and interact with people. Maybe drink a little here and there, sing, dance, etc. She is also quite forgiving (usually). It really doesn't matter to her. She also enjoys going on adventures and, occasionally, follows her curiosity where ever it may take her.
In battle, however, Aurelia is quite different. She is very serious, unrelenting, unforgiving.
History: History: Aurelia was born in the village of Frourio which was renowned for its warriors. It lay quite a ways away from the city of Vale so it was not even under its protection. In fact, it was Frourio which always sent away their best warrior in training off to Signal and maybe even Beacon if they got in which usually happened.
Each of the clans in the village specialize in a certain weapon type with each family in that clan specializing in a specific weapon. That is not to say everyone in the village is a warrior, though. Aurelia's family specialized in the glaive, but she was one of the few to use a double-bladed glaive. She valued the increased offensive capabilities it offered.
Starting at the age of 8, those who wanted to become fighters were assigned a random partner. Partners were always together for training, and groups would always be made up of pairings. Aurelia's particular partner was a boy that went by the name of Nicolas Romani who specialized in dual-wielding, sub-specializing in the dao. The partners often sparred with one another and even tried to teach each other how to use the other's weapon(s).
At the age of 14, final missions were given out before training was officially done and people went on their ways. For this particular mission, Aurelia and Nicolas were assigned to a group with 3 other pairs. They were to go to a village northeast of theirs to investigate several disappearances and to terminate the problem.
Aurelia, excited that it was the last mission, didn't take it too seriously. There were 8 of them there to investigate some simple disappearances after all. Having asked around town, it was determined that Grimm were the cause of the incidents, though it was pretty obvious from the beginning. The group decided to perform a sweep walking in the direction of the disappearances in an effort to find whatever had been causing them. During this, Aurelia's excited caused both her and Nicolas to become unknowingly separated from the group.
After half an hour of traveling themselves, the pair heard a loud, sharp hiss. They ran towards it and discovered the bodies of several dead ursas and 2 dead King Taijitus, and a Nevermore picking away at the dead bodies. No group members' bodies were there, though they should have been.
Distraught, Aurelia jumped in to avenge her peers with Nicolas followed suit, not allowing her to fight alone. Together, they valiantly fought and killed the Nevermore unscathed. Almost. If it weren't for the fact that one of Nicolas' arms were torn off trying to protect Aurelia from getting killed. He bled to death not too long after, but he may as well have drowned in her tears.
Aurelia was the only one to return to her village, and she had carried Nicolas' body all the way back herself. She said no words to anybody, and, after realizing she wouldn't, people stopped trying to get her to. Actually, it would be unfair to say she said she said nothing because she did. At Nicolas' funeral. Aurelia had requested his one of his swords, and nobody seemed to object.
She had been assigned to go to Sanctum prior to her final mission and left silently. Aurelia, aside from learning, spent her remaining time recovering from the incident, and by the time she had started attending Beacon, she was basically back to normal.
At Beacon, Aurelia excelled both in her academics and on the battlefield against both peers and Grimm. She had to get used to working with a partner and team again as she basically went solo throughout her tenure at Sanctum. All went well and she eventually graduated.
Upon graduation, she decided to part ways with her team. She stayed in Vale while going outside only for missions. Upon returning from one particular mission which also happened to include a visit to her hometown, she discovered that her apartment had been raided. She lived near the top of the complex, and the lower floors reported any suspicious activity. Aurelia concluded that pirate must have robbed her belongings, one of which being a sword of Nicolas.
Strength:
- Strong and agile due to her time as a brawler
- Can often bring people together
- Can act well as both a leader and a follower
- Incredibly proficient with auras and dusts
- Defensive aura is resistant to red dust explosions due to nature of weapon [x% less aura drain when hit with them]
Weakness:
- Aurelia tends to continue fighting battles she will lose, usually knowingly so
- Her social side may get her into a into trouble every once in a while
- Tends to be overeager on occasion
- Though she has been recovering, she still is weary of having teammates
WEAPONName: Argenteous Venti (Silver Wind)
Primary Form: A double-bladed glaive that is in total 7' long. The handle is 3' long making the blades 2' each. The blades are black outlined silver and the handle is silver. The blades can be retracted into the handle thereby creating a 5' staff (meaning there is 1' on each end dedicated to housing the blades). On the back of each blade is something like a vent which act to utilize dust. There are two settings of release: controlled and explosive. The controlled setting allows a wave of dust to be expelled of either of the 3 types (red, blue, yellow). The explosive setting expels the dust all at once resulting in an burst, but it only uses red dust. The explosive setting can also take multiple bullets' worth of dust, but each one added increases the danger to Aurelia and her explosive resistance becomes less effective. This setting greatly increases the damage potential of each swing. Each vent has a magazine of 5 bullets. The staff can be shrunk down to 1' for easy storage.
Secondary Form/Function: The glaive can fold up to make a double-barreled shotgun (though it shoots more like some sort of double-barreled semi-automatic rifle), the barrels being vertical. Any type of dust bullets can be used. Each barrel has a capacity of 5 bullets. These bullets transfer over to the primary form.
Tertiary Form/Function: The glaive can be split into two separate, shorter glaives that could be dual-wielded. However, more often than not, Aurelia prefers to shorten the handles thereby making the two pieces into dao's. All functions from the primary form still apply.
History: The double-bladed glaive was made for Aurelia when she was to train to become a fighter. When she attended Sanctum, she was able to renovate her weapon by allowing it to utilize dusts by both adding vents onto the blades and having it transform into a double-barreled shotgun as well as commemorating Nicolas by adding in a dual-wielding form.
