Katy Moraine:

Katy's standard outfit consists of a light blue t-shirt and black leggings, covered by a thick, over-sized black hoodie and sneakers. The hoodie is quite long and baggy, reaching to just above her knees, and is normally worn zipped up with the hood up. She has two fox ears mostly hidden by her hair, and she uses her hood to make sure they remain hidden.

Personality:

Katy is a rather quiet individual, and tends to snatch naps whenever her immediate attention isn't required. Coming from a military family she's adopted several habits from her parents and older sister, such as grabbing sleep whenever possible, and eating every meal like she might not get another in a while. She also tends to squirrel snacks away in her hoodie, just in case.

Katy can be enthusiastic about topics that interest her, though the various aspects of becoming a Huntress don't often seem to rank up there. Despite normally being attentive in class, attending Beacon seems to be less about a real interest and more a resignation to her lot in life.

History:

Katy is the younger sibling of the fourth generation of Hunters in her family. Every member of her family, going backwards for several generations has become either a Huntsman or Huntress, and with every new generation there have been expectations that kids will carry on the tradition.

These expectations were somewhat lighter on Katy originally; her older brother was already showing great promise at becoming a Huntsman, until during a field mission he vanished without a trace, presumed killed and eaten by some kind of beastie. After the funeral, Katy's parents made it known that it was time for her to start taking her training seriously. His death has been her constant source of determination in sticking it out.

Due to the focus on her older brother during her younger years, her parents put her through a year of intensive weapon and survival training, helping her specialize more with her weapon of choice and catching her up enough to enroll her in Signal Academy, where she continued her studies and cultivated some small ability in weapon development, and eventually honed her skill in battle enough to get accepted into Beacon Academy.

Strength:

Katy is an excellent long-distance marksman. While her weapon contains a scope and rudimentary range-finder, she can almost always eyeball and judge range and wind based on the movement of trees and grass.

Weakness:

Katy's accuracy gets worse the closer a target is. While, if using a close-to-medium range gun, she could be considered passable, her weapon is designed primarily for long distances and she has focused most of her efforts into honing that specific skill.

Aside from basic hand-to-hand training provided from her schooling, Katy is decidedly not a strong fighter. While she's decently quick, her speed is primarily used for re-positioning while shooting and she has never learned to apply it for any kind of advanced dodging.

Semblance:

Katy eats massive amounts of food, which her Semblance continually stores energy from and slowly burns off. If Katy happens to be on a job, or in another situations where she would be going for extended lengths of time without food, her Semblance feeds the stored energy back into her body, allowing her to last days without needing to eat. If she does almost nothing physical during this period, she can last quite a while. If she's performing regular physical activity she receives almost no benefit from it.

Primary Form:
Long Range Sniper Rifle. The rifle can use an assortment of ammo, but is otherwise a standard rifle. It has a scope and range-finder attachment, as well as a tripod stand.

Secondary Form/Function:
The rifle can transform into a pole equipped with a claw on the end, used primarily for navigating difficult terrain on foot.

History:
Katy designed and built the first version of her rifle at age 12, and every year she has redesigned or tweaked something and rebuilt the rifle from scratch, either to accommodate some new feature, ammo type, or simply to re-balance against her size.
