The Result of Boredom.

5:22am, outside the Team MKNT dorm. 

Boredom can be a very dangerous thing. Sometimes for others, but most of the time the bored are a danger to themselves. This is often the case with Indigo Evans. Indigo does not like, above most things, being kept in a small space. Unfortunately for herself and her teammates, their room was far too small for Indigo, and being forced to live in it has made her... Anxious. More so than usual. She had been able to keep her boredom away previously, by getting out her excess energy climbing things, but even that got boring. So she decided to put an end to it. 

Most of Team MKNT would still be asleep at this hour, but Indigo had other plans. The sound of bare feet sprinting down the hall broke the silence of the morning, and was followed by a loud thunk as Indigo attempted to tackle down the dorm room door. Unfortunately, she wasn't nearly strong enough to knock it down, so instead of the dramatic entrance she was aiming for, she is left sitting on the floor, rubbing her head. "Ouch..."

Mao jolted awake as a loud sound broke him of his state of dreaming. As he sat up, he grabbed his dagger, which was under his pillow, and flicked it open. He looked around and saw that there was actually no danger in the room, and the only thing he could hear was someone outside the door. He sighed as the blade retracted into the hilt. He slowly got out his bed and lazily walked over to the door, rubbing an eye with one hand while the other held the sheathed dagger.

As he opened the door, he recognized the white hair, which could be seen easily in the night, that rested below his current eye level. "Indigo, what on Vytal could you possibly be doing outside of my room at..." He glanced at a clock. He squinted a little when he saw the time. "...five-thirty...in the morning?" He sounded as if he could be slightly annoyed, but it was really just him being tired being woken up prematurely and all.

Matt sat up in bed, prepared to fight whatever made that loud sound. Seeing nothing but Mao at the door, Matt relaxed. What is so important that it has happen in the middle of the night? Matt looks closer at Mao, realizing he is talking to someone. Matt gets out of bed and tiredly shuffles to the door. He sees it is Indigo at the door and sighs. Hey Indigo. As much as a pleasure it is to see you, what exactly are you doing here at this hour?

"Well, besides giving myself a concussion..." She leaps to her feet. "I have plans! You guys are part of them!" Without even waiting to be invited in, she briskly trots to the center of the dorm. "Kyri! Tyler! Wake up! There are things to plan!"

When Indigo came into their dorm yelling at them to wake Up Tyler sat up, the blanket falling down and showing that he wasn't really wearing a shirt, something he fixed immediately by grabbing the clean black shirt that he left out for the morning. What do you mean by Plans Indigo? he asked her, the grogginess clearly affecting him as much as it would affect everyone else....

Of course, the problem was...Indigo wasn't the only one awake at this time. There was one other member of Team DISC who was more nocturnal than most. And he had an even smaller space than Indigo. Of course when she had slipped out his eyes were closed, him being in an almost half-trance.

And then he heard a bang. There is an almost frustrated sigh as he leaves his own dorm room, quietly moving to the doorway and then into the hallway. Her voice didn't half carry when she got excited. And yes. Even in the middle of the night the steady clink clink of metal was present, from both his belt and his leg brace. Not so much the cloak or armoured plates he tended to wear.

He stops outside the dorm of Team MKNT and looks in, toward the source of much noise. And then he coughs, pointedly. Not at Indigo volumes but just loud enough to be heard.

"And I thought I was the one who didn't sleep. Or did you forget about me?"

Indigo spins on her heel, a wild look in her eye. "Drake! Excellent! Go wake up Cain and Straudd, We need them as well!" She made her way to Kyri's bed, and began shaking her. "Kyri! This is no time for sleeping!"

Kyri slowly woke up to Indigo shaking her. Her hair was messed up and the girl was nearly half naked as she was wearing her pajamas. She turned to see Indigo and she cocked her head to the side with her eyes only slightly open.

"Indigo.....w-what are you.. doing here?" She slurred her words as she attempted to wake up, not knowing the time

Mao was still standing at the doorway, still in a dream-like state. For only a moment did he perceive Drake's figure standing out in the hallway. In a feeble voice, he said "Go to bed, Drake..." before turning to Indigo.

"This ain't no time for sleeping!"

Mao squinted at a clock again. As Kyri seemed to be returning to reality, he pointed his dagger at the clock and released the blade. It let out a rather sharp click. "I would beg to differ!" His voice was still weak. He sheathed the dagger's blade in his hilt. He fell onto his bed face down, seemingly out but still conscious. "Ayswereviwuneskrasi."

At the urging of Mao for him to go to bed...Mao gets a sharp, short bark of a laugh in response. Seriously? Seriously?! It was no real secret that Drake seemed to live off minimal sleep where he could. It was probably a reasonable explanation for his dour moods and foul temperament at the best of times.

He shakes his head and then gives Indigo a look. A look somewhere between a scowl and incredulity. She seriously did not want him to go wake up the other two. "Indigo...no. I am not going to go wake them up as well. They do not need to be awake. No one here needs to be awake. Apart from maybe myself. For reasons."

Matt yawns again. "How are you guys not tired? It's so early." Matt walks over to his bed and sits down, trying hard to keep his eyes open. "Indigo, you still haven't told us your plan. Why did you wake us up at this hour?"

Indigo groans in exasperation. Mostly at Drake's refusal to cooperate, but also at everyone's lack of enthusiasm. "Come on guys! There are plans to be made! Quickly, before anyone else finds out!" She began half pulling, half rocking Mao in an attempt to bring him back to the real world. "I found an offer and we need to be the first to grab it! So yeah, Drake, we do need to be up." Indigo stood there, proudly, with her arms crossed as if she had just won an argument.

When indigo said Offer Tyler was immediately awake, the last time anyone in his life had taken an offer it had been his dad, and that offer had killed him...Indigo. Look at me. he said with a look of both curiosity and an underlying hint of protectiveness. What do you mean by Offer? he asked her in a level tone...

Drake groans at the mention of an offer and proceeds to scowl, deciding to follow into Team MKNT's dorm and possibly reclaim his hyperactive and bored teammate. Carefully he goes to put his hand on Indigo's shoulder, if only to try and ground her somewhat.

"Seriously...what? Why do we have to be the first? What could be so important...? Also, you can wake those other two up. They sleep like rocks." He glances about and shrugs.

Kyri came closer to the world of the waking as everyone talked around her. Her tired mind only caught a few details about what was going on though and she sighed before letting out a long yawn, sitting up, and stretching her arms above her head.

"yeah Indigo.... what are you talking about... offer?"

"Oh right! The thing! I found it just a while ago!" Indigo rummages through her pockets and pulls out a crumpled piece of paper. Un-crumpling it reveals a message, written in bright red letters.


"See? We need to sign up and win!"

"Indigo. You do realise no one here can see in the dark that well, right?"

Not to point out the obvious flaw, Drake stands there, deadpan as Indigo tries to show them a bit of paper in the dark. And he tries to keep her or at least her feet on the ground before she did any more property damage.

Kyri looks up to Indigo with a confused look on her face with the pillow mark still on her face and her hair all disheveled. She groaned as she read it and just shook her head.

"Um... Why do we need to be the first in the raffle if it's a raffle then? We could come in at anytime and put our teams in...."

Indigo had apparently been trying to wake up him by rocking him, but it didn't really help. In fact, it made it slightly worse. He was still not moving, face down in his bed, his thoughts a jumbled mess. "Ishdatuhpeefufpayfurayeher? Wehkkahnwensumtin? Waishetavot?"

Indigo abandons her strategy of shaking Mao, instead she starts to idly pat and prod at his head. "Well Kyri, I might have stolen this poster so that we can be the only ones to know about the raffle. But we both know I would never do something like that!" Seeing that Mao isn't responding to her attacks on his head, she decides to try pulling him out of bed by the arm.

He sighs at Indigo's admission...and also at her efforts to forcibly wake Mao. Well. No good just trying to wake them up. Desperate times called for desperate measures. That and he was the only one here who could be genuinely cruel for good reasons it seemed.

He takes a few steps over to the light switch...and with a slight smirk...turns it on.

"And the Drake said...let there be light. Might as well get up. She's never going to give up you guys..."

Kyri was sitting on her bed at this point and looking towards Indigo as she watched the girl try and wake up her ever sleeping partner. She looked back to drake just in time to see him turning on the lights.

"No!" she said softly as she reached out her hand to tell him not to turn the lights on, but it was too late for that as the light popped on and burned the poor girls eyes. She shut her eyes and brought her hands to her face to cover her eyes.

"Ow... I'm awake damn it! I'm awake!"

"Nuhstahpet..." Mao tried to tug his arm away from Indigo, but instead he slowly slid out of the bed until his body finally tumbled on the floor. He was still face down, hitting his head upon where he had originally injured it before. He let out a groan. "Fiiiiiiine. Fine." He didn't move. "Fine." He still didn't move. It was almost as if he was lost in his mind.

Cain rose from his bed, finally admitting that he was not going to be able to return to sleep any time soon. Indigo had been the first to leave team DISC’s room, and because of the ungodly hour Cain had been content with assuming she simply had to use the bathroom. Admittedly… the sound of a body smashing into a door had been a little suspicious, but since Drake had immediately left to investigate Cain had seen no need to do so himself. Their team leader was as close to being nocturnal as a human could get, and if there was some problem Drake could not handle (as if such an event could occur), at the very least he would let Cain and Straudd know that their assistance was required.

However, after several minutes of neither Indigo nor their leader returning, Cain’s curiosity eventually got the better of him. Once out of bed the young man was quick to throw his clothes on, including the white lab coat that had become a sort of signature for him during his time at Beacon. Flipping the switch of the ABEL system’s Keystone at the top of his spine, Cain allowed his aura to momentarily infuse his auditory sensory system. Instantly the sound of voices could be heard bouncing off the walls of the hallway. There was some sort of meeting going on, and many of those involved were not happy about having been awoken so early in the morning. But there was no sound of anything that could remotely be described as dangerous. So disengaging the ABEL system, the grey-haired man stopped at the door of team DISC’s room just long enough to turn the lights on.

“Wake up Straudd.” Cain chuckled as he banished the last remnants of sleep from his own mind. “I have a feeling a friend of ours has decided to bring an early morning to the academy. No sense in keeping her and our esteemed leader waiting.”

With that Cain was out the door, making his way quickly down the hallway to team MKNT’s dorm room. Not bothering to wait for permission to enter, the young man made his way into the room and waved cheerfully to the six other students present.

“Good morning everyone!” he announced, giving a bright smile as he set his glasses on his face. “Forgive me for being late, but I was under the impression slumber parties were meant to begin before going to bed, not after waking up.”

When Indigo Turned the light On Tyler was already dressed completely, his spiky blonde hair messy as hell from his tossing and turning when he was asleep, and unlike most people when the lights came on he didn't close his eyes, since the pupils dilated so quickly he wasn't really burned. Well, since we're all up, might as well go do this. he said as he grabbed firedancer and obsidian
