CHARACTER
Name: Cebrail Theron
Age: 17; July 9
Gender: Male
Symbol: A Falcon with its wings spread
- Spoiler:
Appearance:
Similar to Lelouch of Code Geass but with grey eyes
- Spoiler:
Standing at 5'10 and 180lbs, his raven hair often gets in his face. His arms and legs are well toned though he has started to develop a bit of a gut from the desserts.
His combat outfit comprises of tighter clothing for more efficient movement. His heaviest amount of armor is around his arms and shoulders, made of a minimal amount of steel. His clothes themselves are a grey, short sleeved hoodie, a half face mask covering his mouth and nose, knee pads and light boots.
Personality: A lazy worker, Cebrail never found the will to put any effort into anything. He barely skates by in school, relying purely on his abilities as a fighter rather than test scores. He's really only willing to do anything if it benefits him in some way. It could be something as simple as food or a laugh to something (most anything) more beneficial. Don't let this attitude towards life fool you, he places high value on his close friends and often goes out of his way to help or support them.
Constantly joking or sleeping in class, he is a stark contrast when weapons are drawn. Combat, laughing and eating are, as he describes it, "the purest form of living." Almost always eating, Cebrail enjoys cooking and baking. He typically carries a small box of cookies on him for "emergencies." An emergency, in this case, is when he gets hungry.
History: Born the son of a hunter and a chef, his parents were able to keep them alive and put food on the table. Knowing how dangerous his career was, Cebrail's father did his best to turn his son away from being a hunter. And though Cebrail did help his mother in her restaurant, the young boy admired his father and didn't feel content cleaning tables and taking orders.
Giving in, to his son's wishes, Cebrail began training with his father. Not wanting to risk his life, Cebrail was forced to train to perfection. Though he knew it was for the best, the constant training had the opposite effect on the young boy. Rather than instilling a sense of discipline and responsibility, it spawned laziness and complacency. By the time he was at Signal Academy, he knew he was more proficient than most (though you wouldn't be able to tell by the way he acted).
He was unwilling to make friends at Signal, having determined the effort wasn't quite worth it. He did just enough to get accepted into Beacon, his sluggish appearance often giving people the wrong impression of him.
Strength: A proficient fighter, Cebrail takes after his father in ability. Remarkably fast and flexible, he possesses excellent muscle control, allowing him to perform the average acrobatic feat with ease. He's able to maneuver through the combat area quickly and efficiently. Accurate with his launching weapon. Favors deception and distraction.
Weakness: What he has in speed and agility, he lacks in overall power. In a hand to hand situation, he doesn't have enough force to deal an effective amount of damage, instead relying on his accuracy to focus weak points and his rope system to launch him for a stronger hit. He isn't particularly good at longer distances, requiring himself to close the gap. He is stubborn to the point of reckless endangerment.
WEAPON
Name: Kestrel Gauntlets
Primary Form: The Kestrel Gauntlets are half fingered on both arms. They have 1 1/2 foot wrist mounted blades on the top of the arm that can extend out and be retracted. This is activated through the flexing of certain muscles in the gauntlet. There is a safety built into the wrist to prevent accidental unsheathing.
Secondary Form/Function: Using a pulley system built into the gauntlets, the tips of the blades can be launched and locked into place. It's used as both a maneuvering device and as a long distance attack. They have a reach limit of 150ft. Any farther and the pulley system gets strained.
(Essentially, Lin Beifong's gauntlets in Avatar: Legend of Korra)
History: The concept was created by Cebrail but made more realistic by his father. They were made upon entering Signal Academy so that he would have enough time to train with the weapon. They were designed to amplify Cebrail's strengths: his speed and agility. His father hoped that it would keep him alive, allowing him the ability to escape if need be.
Question: How do we get put into teams? I saw that there are Initiations but I'm confused about how things work on that end.
