Kaia is 6" 2', he keeps his body in great shape, he has brown eyes and brown hair, although he dyes it plain black. He is always seen with a necklace around his neck, it could be an heirloom or simply a lucky charm that he keeps around. He also has a favorite lack and red hoodie that he wears most of the time.

History: Kaia grew up with a technological upbringing, his mother and father both ran an engineering store, his mother would man the register and his father would spend all of his day in the back, building and coming up with new ideas of technology, Kaia would rarely see his father unless he was actually helping him out with something, causing quite a strange upbringing as he did not have a strong father figure to watch over him. His mother was the strongest figure in his life, she would be the one taking care of him throughout the day until he was old enough to take care of himself, he would spend a lot of time by the register with his mother to keep her company as his father did not like to be disturbed. Their store was not a very popular one, but it would still bring in enough money to keep them afloat, Kaia would bug his mother with dreams of becoming a hunter and stopping the forces of evil, she was the only person he could talk about it with, his father would constantly remind him that the dream was a silly one and would never happen and he would have to take up the family business when both of his parents would pass. At the age of 13, Kaia had gained a circle of friends, he would end up spending less time at the store and more time with his friends, something his father did not approve of, this was the age that Kaia had unlocked his Semblance, his ability to control smoke furthering his dream of becoming a hunter. On Kaia's 19th birthday, his father gave him a gift, something that Kaia was not exactly expecting, it was an invitation to Beacon Academy, a school that teaches young people the ways of hunters and huntresses, he also revealed that the project he had been working on for so long was for Kaia, it was a weapon with his Kaia's initials engraved onto it. It was tough, but Kaia said goodbye to his parents and headed towards Beacon Academy where he could fulfill his dream.

Personality: Kaia is very confident when talking to both friends and strangers, he has no fear of embarrasing himself for comedic effect and he can easily laugh off jokes, this can be very helpful when he is talking to girls although it can also be his downfall.. He is quite protective over his friends and if anyone of them are in trouble, he has no problem with stepping in and making things right. He can be fun to be around, but if something rubs him the wrong way, he will have no problem becoming angry. When it comes to his education however, he is very driven to win whenever he is in some kind of competition, but when he is learning in a classroom, he can be known to daydream about other things. One of Kaia's most prized possessions is his necklace, it was given to him by his engineer father who had made it himself, he will not let anyone else wear it unless he can trust them completely.

Strengths:

Kaia's confidence can sometimes be seen as a strength, mostly socially. He is easy to talk to and that can sometimes be helpful when he is paired up with someone.

Kaia's speed is his most powerful asset, he is not particularly strong, but walks and runs for long amounts of time and this has increased his speed, becoming his greatest weapon.

When you become Kaia's friend, he will always be beside you no matter what, he is willing to get himself into some bad situations if it means helping a friend out.

Weakness:

Kaia has sometimes been too confident for his own good, there have been some occasions when talking to girls that he has continued conversations with them whilst being mocked, some would go as far to say it is annoying.

Being loyal to friends can work wonders socially, but if they ever get into a bad situation, Kaia will help the without thinking, and this can sometimes put his body in danger, he has received more than one black eye in the past due to standing up to bullies.

Kaia is very over protective of his necklace, he will only allow people that he trusts to wear his necklace if they ask politely, however his over protectiveness can push people away from him and he has lost some friends because of it.

Semblance: Kaia's semblance is his ability to utilize smoke, more specifically black smog. Kaia can create thick smog from his body, surrounding himself and the general area, this can cause issues for the opponents vision as it can sometimes be hard to see through, Kaia is not affected by the blinding smog however, he can see through it, making battles easier for him.

WEAPON

Name: Laminas Fumi

Primary Form: The primary form of Kaia's weapon is a sword form, it was engineered by his father and was given to him on his 19th birthday. The blade also has his initials engraved onto them, K.V. When the sword transforms into the rifle, it will go up in a large puff of black smoke which will reveal Kaia holding the new weapon.

History: This contraption was given to Kaia by his father on his 19th birthday along with an invitation to Beacon Academy, his father had been working on it for some time and had put a lot of time into it to make it perfect, both forms have Kaia's initials engraved into it.
