Typically wears a red jacket with rolled up sleeves, black undershirt on the inside, and brown pants. Has brown hair and a height of 5'9'', weighs 160 pounds. Only smiles occasionally, and is rarely seen with company except when necessary.

History:

Despite being orphaned at a very young age, Virgil Whitlock never was one to be cold and unfeeling as he is now perceived to be. In the past, he was just like any other kid in the orphanage, where he was taken after the fire that took his parents' and older brother's life. He was too young (only 3) to remember what had happened that night. All he was told was how his parents had never made it to the hospital, how his brother had given his life to keep the still-young Virgil from burning to death by using his body as a shield over him, saving him from the charred falling debris and the tongues of flames threatening to lap at them.

Virgil grew up like every other kid in the orphanage. He was never singled out, and attended class at Signal. Here, he had a small group of friends, but one particularly stood out. Her name was Xyla Underwood. Unbeknownst to one another, Xyla and Virgil both liked each other. Xyla was the first friend he had ever made at the school, and they've been friends ever since. Time passed quietly between them, with each holding their ground to keep from spilling their feelings. They both built their weapons together, with Xyla opting to create twin chakrams imbued with the element of fire while Virgil decided on twin hook gunblades. Then one day, Xyla couldn't take it any longer. She decided it was time. She wrote a letter to Virgil, telling him to meet her in the woods by the school after class. Virgil, being as dense as he was, didn't suspect a thing.

The two met as agreed, and decided to take a walk through the woods. Here, Xyla confessed to Virgil, telling him exactly how she felt. Virgil was too stunned to speak. After finally getting the words out, before Virgil had any time to respond, Xyla was blindsided and knocked into a rock, drawing blood instantly as she hit head first. In her place, towering over Virgil, stood a black, bear-like creature, with bony spikes on its back and arms. The worst part was the face; a bone-like masked covered in what appeared to be blood, complimented by a set of sharp teeth. An Ursa. What else could he do? With a fleeting glimpse at Xyla's immobile body, Virgil turned on the creature, drawing his hook swords in the process, and something happened. He couldn't explain it, but specific parts of the creature glowed green to him, as though it were the chinks in the armor. At that moment, the creature struck the ground under him, knocking Virgil into a tree. Virgil recovered after, as the creature lunged once more, and jumped onto it's back to where the green glowed the brightest. Without thinking, as though it were natural, he drove the hilts of his swords deep into the creature, which let out a deafening yelp and collapsed on the ground. Virgil then slows down, as the adrenaline driving him passes and he collapses next to Xyla's now lifeless body.

He wakes up in the hospital ward of the school, all bandaged up and surrounded by doctors. They tell him about the Ursa attack, and how lucky he was that his semblance activated then and there. Virgil just lies there and takes it all in, not questioning anything because one thing kept replaying in his mind: Xyla's dead.

Three weeks later, Virgil is up and about, but something changed in him. He was no longer the boy he was known to be growing up. Now, he was always serious, and was always alone. He studied diligently about the creatures of the Grimm, and was hellbent on getting into Beacon. After graduation, he gets accepted, and has his mind set on one thing and one thing only; to fight the Grimm, and avenge Xyla.

Personality: Virgil is perceived as a cold, emotionless person who keeps to himself except when necessary. He is, however, quite protective of the people who do get to know him, and will do anything to keep them from getting in harm's way.

Strength: Good strategist, since he uses his semblance to identify the enemy's weak spots and plan ahead before giving the order to attack or attacking himself. Resilient, quick on his feet, and very perceptive of his surroundings so as to be able to use his hook blades to their full potential.

Weakness: Emotional, tends to put himself unnecessarily in danger for others, given his trauma of the past involving Xyla, and his extended use of his semblance weakens his reaction time.

Semblance: Allows Virgil to identify the enemy's weak points with just one glance, making them glow bright green in his eyes, and he homes in on the weak spots. He can somehow predict the enemy's movements, given his enhanced perceptions of the situation, and can maneuver in and out of the situation when necessary. However, given the increased strain, he can only keep this up for 5 minutes at a time with a 10 minute cool down in between uses.

WEAPON

Name: The Mindreavers

Primary Form: Twin hook gunblades, with the barrels being on the extended tip of the blade and the triggers at the blades' hilts.

Secondary Form: The blades join at the hilt to form a blade for enhanced maneuverability in battle against multiple enemies, where the hook blades' help for moving around the terrain wouldn't play much of a role.

History: Xyla and Virgil both made their weapons and improved each others at Signal, where both tried and tested each other in combat until they were happy with the results.

Pretty good. A weapon that is similar yet different.

The one thing that I don't really like is the semblance. But only when the first half and second half are put together. So my solution would be this. Either have it so he can only use it for a limited time 5 minutes maybe. Or you remove the part of predicting enemies moves with his enhanced perception.
