An Assassin and a Demon (Closed Aeden and Zwei)

(Takes place Day 5 of Week 10)

Aeden sat on a rock in the middle of the Emerald Forest waiting for Zwei. He had arrived a few minutes early asking Zwei to meet him here, he chose to not reveal his reason for doing so only telling him to be combat ready. Aeden had been planning this encounter for quite some time but other events prevented him from following through. "After Dameon's defeat this seems as good a time as any to find out." Aeden looked back down at Deception X as he silently sharpened it, Frost Fang tucked nicely into its holster having already been sharpened. His scroll makes a small chime indicating it was 5 minutes before the Zwei's expected arrival. "Not much longer now."

10 minutes passed before Zweis arrival. When he arrived he wasnt wearing the normal mask he usually wore due to its destruction and instead wore a new one that he had made in the past few days. Fortissimo dangled loosely on his hip as he walked toward Aeden. He took his hand out of his pocket and gave a slight wave as he arrived still curious what he meant about "Combat ready" regardless he brought plenty of ammo and dust with him. "Its been a while since me and you did something together" he laughed a little hoping the new mask didn’t throw Aeden off.

Aeden stood up from the rock he was sitting on and checks the time. "Tad bit late but not really a problem. It's good to see you Zwei, I like the new mask it suits you." Aeden walks over to Zwei and shakes his hand. "You're probably wondering why I asked you to meet me here, Zwei. Let's take a walk there's somewhere we have to go." Aeden begins walking deeper into the forest without waiting for Zwei to reply.

Zwei tilted his head to the side for a moment becoming seriously confused by Aedens strange behaviour. "Uh...Okay" Zwei tightened the fit on his mask and the loop that Fortissimo hung around. He stood still for another moment lost in thought before snapping back to reality and running to catch up to Aeden. It took him a moment to do so since he was quite the distance from his friend but he caught up eventually. "So why did you call me all the way out here in the woods anyway?" he asked not able to contain his curiosity any longer.

Aeden continued to walk deeper into the forest with Zwei in tow. "I'll explain in a bit, we're just about there." After a short time walking Aeden and Zwei arrive at small clearing. "We're here Zwei come on lets go to the middle and I''l explain everything." Aeden glances in a few directions making sure that there isn't something sneaking up on them. Satisfied with the state of the clearing Aeden stands in the middle with his weapons drawn but at his sides waiting for Zwei.

Zwei remained confused for a moment before realizing what Aeden had planned. He hoped that this was a spar and not an attempt on his life. He grabbed his blade and drew it from his sheathe and inspected the blades edge for a moment before reaching into his pocket and pulling out six rounds of ammo. He carefully loaded his weapon before loading it with both fire and electric dust and taking it through each mode. Tonfa? Good. Sword? Check. Revolver? Functional. After checking each mode he took a more prepared stance and stood still waiting for Aeden to make the first move. "Loser buys drinks" he laughed

"Well you catch on pretty quick. Yes were going to fight its something I've been thinking about for a while and after our fight with all those Ursa I saw how well we work together so it only made me want to do this more." Aeden begins to take a few steps away from Zwei never taking his eyes off him. "This isn't going to be a simple spar though its gonna be a little more interesting than that. Here are the rules: Rule #1 First we have to kill a few Grimm, 8 Beowolves, 5 Ursa, and a decently sized Nevermore or a Deathstalker. Rule #2 No matter what happens we can't fight each other until 10 minutes after I say 'Go'. Rule #3 After the 10 minutes if we see each other in the forest we can attack. Rule #4 First one back here after we finish the Grimm gains an advantage over the other one. Lastly, Rule #5 Loser buys the drinks." Aeden makes a smile at the last rule having thought Zwei's addition was perfect. "Sound good to you?"

Zwei nodded with a cheerful tone and looked around for any grimm nearby. "That sounds fair to me. I just hope you are ready to buy me drinks!" he smirked under his mask as he sheathed his blade once again so it does not hinder his speed while he searches. He took a different stance and dropped low to the ground ready to  make a running start. "On your go" he said with intense focus.

Unlike Zwei Aeden chooses to keep his weapons at the ready Frost Fang in revolver form and Deception X tightly in his right hand. He turns away from Zwei and faces the forest. "Well see about that Zwei!" Aeden takes a low stance ready to bolt from his position. He knew he was faster than Zwei and would find a Grimm more quickly but Zwei would probably have an easier time taking it down. He was going to have to rely on his speed during this challenge. Aeden channels aura into the soles of his feet preparing to launch into the forest. "3...2...1...GO!" Aeden bolts off into the forest heading away from Zwei's intended direction. He quickly looks back. "Good luck and remember I like whiskey!" With a smile on his face Aeden turns back toward the forest searching for his first Grimm.

As soon as Aeden said "Go!' Zwei bolted off but not before catching a glimpse of Aedens impressive speed. His legs carried him as fast as they would but he would never reach Aedens speed. Minutes later Zwei was standing on a large tree branch high above the ground looking for a target. His eyes scanned the area with even more focus than before. He drew Fortissimo and gave it a few practice swings as he looked.

Aeden stuck close the ground, he figured the tree tops would be too dense to see scout for any Beowolves or Ursa. He checks his scroll and notes two minutes had already passed. "No time to lose but can't really use all my aura on just running." Aeden cancels the flow of aura and returns to his regular speed. He tries to focus on the sounds of the forest when he hears something different. He holds Deception X and Frost Fang tightly. "Either I made that sound or this party's about to get started."

Aeden stops in his tracks as he spots the Ursa, he checks the wind and sees he is downwind from the Ursa. I'm safe even if they have a good sense of smell. Aeden pulls his hood down and moves into the shadows of the trees trying to hide his presence further. Five already? I may beat Zwei to the middle. Quickly looking over toward the Ursa, Aeden notices they are distracted. I could probably take 2 in a sneak attack the other three will be a problem all their own. Aeden aims Deception X, revealing its hidden blades for a quick kill and Frost Fang, loaded with ice dust. His target is one of the Ursa's hearts as he flies in after being pulled by Deception X he will fire ice dust as icicles toward one of the other Ursa going for a double kill. Here goes nothing. Aeden sees his chance and fires Deception X's main blade toward the heart of an Ursa.

As Zwei stands on the tree branch practicing his swings a distinct howl is heard in the distance followed by another one with a slightly different sound coming from an incredibly close distance to Zwei. The Beowolves are out hunting nearby.

Aedens blade finds its target as it hits the heart of the beast and pierces it for a moment. Blood erupted from the would and sprayed the nearby trees as the ursa attempted to roar but all that escaped was a wet gurgle. The second ursa however was hit only 3 of the icicles none of which were fatal but seemed to slow the beasts movement slightly. The 3 healthy ursa formed a circle around Aeden as the wounded on slinked off. The one ursa behind Aedens back lunges forward with  a furious swipe.

Zwei perked up for a moment before crouching down on the branch and listening once more before leaping from the top of the tree with little regard for safety. He searched the area as the plummeted toward the earth below. If he managed to catch sight of a wolf he would adjust his body to kick off the tree toward the wolf and impale its throat on his blade.

Aeden wretches the blade out of the Ursa's chest as he rolls out of the way from one of the Ursa. "Evening gentlemen, Isn't it a beautiful day for you to die?" Aeden jumps into the air and fires ice dust at his feet making a small tower which he kicks off from to get out of the circle. With the Ursa focused on where he was Aeden extends Deception X to its full 3 feet and changes Frost Fang into its blade form. As he lands Aeden quickly channels aura into his legs giving him a boost as he flies toward one of the Ursa aiming to incapacitate him with two slices to the legs.

Zwei crashes down on the Beowolves with enough force to kill it even without the fatal wound to its throat. Its body goes limp and cushions Zwei fall. While the wolf dies its eyes look off into the distance where the sound of cracking twigs is clearly heard. From the shadows emerge 4 other wolves each aiming at Zwei. Despite the wolves being there in another direction more sounds could be heard but nothing was visible yet. A fierce howl escapes from one of the wolves and they all charge at Zwei two directly toward him and two aiming to flank him.

The flesh of the ursa gives way to Aedens blade and the ursa falls to the ground as blood pools around its slashed legs. It would try to slash its claws at Aeden even in its downed state while the other hurt ursa with icicles in it would attempt to charge and lunge at Aeden.

Instead of taking a smarter and more defensive strategy Zwei charged forward toward the beowolves ahead of him. When he in range he would drop low to the ground and attempt to slide-kick the ankles of the beowolf and fire a round  at the second wolf while doing so before stabbing the kicked one in the back.

Aeden quickly makes two jumps as the Ursa close in on him. The first is a jump on the back of the down Ursa keeping him away from its claws the second one is a jump toward the icicle wounded Ursa. Taking advantage of its weakened state and its slow speed Aeden quickly sails over before it could react. Landing behind it he stabs both of his blades into the beast's body the longer Deception X aiming for spot on its back directly behind its neck and Frost Fang aiming at the neck.

Zwei's attacks connect and the first wolf is downed and immediately stabbed in the back quickly ending its life. The other wolf was slightly more fortunate the bullet does hit but it does not a hit a vital instead the round found its way into the wolves left elbow rendering the arm useless but the pain enrages the wolf and charges at Zwei. While Zwei fights the other wolf the two who had flanked him turn around and charge at him now coming in from behind.

The ursa sways in place for a moment before falling to the ground and letting out a defeated yelp before it died. The one with slashed legs remained on the ground trying to not die of blood loss as more and more crimson liquid pooled around it. The two remaining Ursa charged forward toward Aeden one in front and one behind. The one behind slashed at Aedens head while the one in front attacked Aedens legs.

Zwei did a quick 360 degree check of his surroundings before jumping above the beowolf in front of him and then using its head as a springboard. To get more air before firing his revolver at the heads of the two approaching wolves before turning his weapon back into a blade and falling back to the beowolf under him to attempt ram his blade into the beasts skull.

As the attack approaches Aeden quickly makes his decision on how to react. He makes a quick 90° pivot on his right foot this puts him sideways to both attacks during his pivot he also form changes Frost Fang back into its revolver form. Using the momentum from the short spin Aeden brings Deception X an in upward arch aiming to cut the Ursa's arm off before it reached him. With Frost Fang pointed at the other Ursa's arm he quickly fires three rounds in order to sever it from the rest of the body.

Your first shot at the charging wolves is a direct hit the beast without a sound, the second one is hit in near the heart it only has seconds to live. In its dying moments the wolf lets out a blood curdling howl into the forest. It is followed by 3 similar howls. Zwei plummets toward the wolf on the ground your blade slices through its skull like warm butter. It never had a chance to react. As Zwei lands the wolf's body gives out from underneath it and falls to the ground along with Zwei. With the other wolf dead Zwei appears to be alone save for the 3 pairs of eyes looking at him from the forest. 
((3 Beowolves Remain))

Aedens blade cleaves through flesh and bone alike as the arm of the ursa is severed from its body  and falls to the ground. The stump of what used to be the ursas arm sprays Aeden with warm Liquid as all 3 of Aedens rounds find their target and bury themselves in the beasts flesh before severing the arm moments later. The two ursa stood with only 3 limbs for a moment and attempted to attack before collapsing of blood loss.

Zwei spotted 3 pairs of eyes staring at him from inside the forest. He kept watch on them as he reloaded his weapon and dashed forward toward the pair. H e blindly slashed his blade toward the nearest set of eyes while grinning.

Aeden calmly looks over the situation at his feet. He is covered in blood with three half dead Ursa. "Zwei is not going to believe this story." Taking a moment to breath Aeden reloads his weapons and shortens Deception X back to its standard from. He walks over to the two Ursa with missing limbs and quickly stabs them in the back of the neck ending their lives. He quickly cleans the blade and sends a round into the head of the last Ursa. "Well that's taken care of lets go find some more Grimm." Aeden wipes as much of the blood off of himself and dashes into the forest once again searching for new prey.

The eyes quickly jump back and are followed by a howl. Zwei failed to notice the two other sets had moved until two other howls screeched from above him coming down with slashing attacks.

After a few moments of searching Aeden would come across a second clearing where there appeared to be a large deathstalker with 9 beowolves on the monsters back. As strange as a sight it was the beowolves appeared to be riding the deathstalker and making happy wolf sounds (idk what happy wolves sounds like so shut up) as did the deathstalker (but happy deathstalker sounds). They appeared to be unaware of Aedens presence.

Zwei heard the two pairs of claws above him and instead of running, leaped high into the air to meet his attackers head on. He would stab his blade toward the throat of his attacker and would afterward swing a mid-air kick at the  other wolfs head to knock it away.

Aeden stops his movement and keeps to the shadows in order to observe the Grimm. I had no idea they interacted like that. I bet a scientist would give anything to see such a rare sight and study it. Aeden draws his weapons, preparing for battle. Welp too bad they're gonna die. Aeden quickly makes his way up a tree making sure to pick up a small rock before climbing. As he reaches the top Aeden starts to aim. Let's see how this goes? When one of the beowolves looks away Aeden quickly throws the rock to the back of its head. Aeden would watch to see if the wolf would think it was one of the others or begin to scout him out.

The blade slices through the Beowolves throat with little resistance ending its life. As the kick connects the wolf is knocked back with a slight imprint on its face. Having lost the rest of its pack the wolf no longer has anything to lose. It charges at Zwei giving no heed to its own safety. If it should die with having at least done one hit to Zwei would die with its purpose fulfilled.

The rock hits the beowolf in the back of the head and the wolf turns immidiately to face another much smaller beowolf. The two beasts appeared to be facing off but no attacks had been made yet but that may change if Aeden does the right thing to start the fight.

Zwei stood his ground and changed his weapon into a revolver that would be loaded with regular bullets before taking aim the wolfs head and pulled the trigger six times to empty all chambers. "Well...its been fun trust me but I need to get going" He spoke before beginning his barrage.

Aeden hangs his head in defeat. Should have brought more rocks. Aeden sits in the tree thinking of what his next plan will be. He suddenly gets an idea and shakes his head. "I guess I have been around Zwei a great deal for good or bad." Aeden stands on the branch and looks overhead. He sees a large tree limb above the group of Grimm. "Well this is going to determine if its a good thing or bad." Aeden fires Deception X at the limb and tugs making sure its solid. "Here goes nothing." Aeden jumps down from the tree and swing across. "Bet you didn't see this coming did you!" Aeden hold Frost Fang in Dagger mode and moves past the Deathstalker's stinger. As he passes by he tries to slice off the stinger.

There is no longer a wolf there just a bloody mess. Luckily what remained soon began to fade leaving only simple grass in its wake.
