Lost and Forgotten

Athenasia picked herself up, then dusted herself off looking at the boy who seems to come out from the bushes. She heard a loud roar/scream thing and looked into the forest. She looked over at Sage who said something similar to 'gorilla'. She readied Aswrey for whatever came her way, but before she could react, a shockwave from the goreilla came her way and she was launched. She managed to unsheathed Aswrey and stab it into a tree lowering her to the ground. "What the hell is this thing again!?"

Roan watched as the beast killed the young boy and the sound of the child's impact with the ground tore at his ears and echoed in his mind. He stood in a haze for a moment clenching his knives until the screams of the Leapmafu drowned out the sound in his mind. He quickly changed his weapon into a scythe before he caught sight of what the boy was holding. It appeared to he his weapon and another set of sticks that must have belonged to the companion he had mentioned before he himself was killed. He had to resist every fiber in his being not to charge at the beast in anger and attempt to lop its head off. His chest felt heavy and for a second he considered giving up before he managed to regain control over his emotions. But of course his feelings didnt show on his face, to anyone just watching him he appeared to be staring blankly but only for a moment until he saw a shock wave travelling toward him. He dashed toward it before planting the end of his scythe into the ground and doing a pole-vault he leaped over the shock wave and considered helping the others but his emotions got the better of him once again as he began sprinting toward the boy's weapons and would soon get to them while slicing anything in the way.

Rien smirked as the Grimm smashed it's face into the ground, taking the chance to reload his pistols before the smaller Grimm could catch him, he tired to get a good read on the fallen beast, aiming to put it down before it could get back up and be less of a hassle.

As if reading each others minds, the twins prepared one of their special maneuvers. Maria ceased her efforts to reload Awe, leaving it filled only to five rounds. Sarah grabbed section 2 of Shock while Maria gripped sections 1 and 3 and began rotating, Sarah following along and revving her chainsaws until they had picked up enough speed to have the pair spinning like a deadly top, shredding any stupid leapmafu who came anywhere near them. "Weeee~!"

Rien's eyes widened as the Goreilla ripped a damn tree out of the ground.

"Ah, damn." Seeing the Leapmafoo leap onto him, Rien did the most sensible thing, duck under the tree swing.

What I'd give for a HVSS right now. He thought bitterly, still having the lemur Grimm still on him and being annoying, Probably could decapitate the damn thing in one swing, where's one of those crazy people who swing them around when you need them?

Roan turned his scythe sideways to use the pole to block the leapmafoo's strike with the staff. He watched as the leapmafoo danced atop the tree like it was taunting him. Roan reached up to his face and removed his mask and spit out several mouthfuls of acid into the air before using his scythe like a bat to send a torrent of acid toward the taunting leapmafoo.

Roan braced as Sage hurdled over him. Roan would have thanked Sage but it would have put more toxins in the air to he attempted to keep exhaling to a minimum during this fight. He spun and swung his scythe at an angle that would cleave all of the leapmafoo's heads that were attacking his back off in a single swing. While he was swinging he would take the momentum from it to aim two powerful kicks from his right leg to hit the two leapmafoo attacking his leg. He was determined to get the boys weapons in remembrance.

Rien, not taking things lying down, smashed one's head in with his gun and brutally chomped down on one's whose neck's was exposed to him. Grabbing a knife from one of his boots, he stabbed another with his free hand, and basically began doing whatever it took to get them off.

Roan closed his mouth as it began to fill with more Acid then before and spat it into the air before yet again using his scythe as a bat to launch the acid at the leapmafoo's head. It was a high enough amount to kill the beast if it hit its mark.

Right then-ow, time to move. Just because he was being pounded on didn't mean Rien couldn't move. Finding the leverage to shift to a kneeling position and trying his best to block himself with his arms, Rien took a deep breath.

And leaped as hard as he could.

Also, there was a small, metal beeping object where the Leapmafoo where now standing.

Rien saw the punch coming, Heh. While these events to others looked lightning fast, they looked rather slow to Rien.

Flipping over in mid air, he actually rolled across the Goreilla's punch and arm. Still holding onto the knife, Rien became a razor sharp saw blade for a brief moment before jumping off the Goerilla's shoulder and turning around to blast it again with the Type 800.

Athenasia looks straight at the Goreilla as it began to throw a tree at her. She performed a backflip to escape but the tree managed to cute her arm up with a few branches as the rest of her body was unharmed. "Really? You couldn't have thrown something a little smaller like a twig?" She readies Aswrey for a strike if the Goreilla charged.

Roan quickly grabbed his face mask from off the ground and slipped it onto his face. "Sorry about that Sage just hang on a few more seconds and the toxin should have spread too thin to be harmful." Without wasting a second Roan scooped up the boys staff and quickly ran to grab the two sticks that must have belonged to the other child. He slid the two sticks into his pack and fiddled with the staff until it collapsed also and slid it into his pack along with the sticks. He looked upon the battle and all of his allies before yelling so everyone could hear him "THIS BATTLE WILL LEAD US NOWHERE. I AM ORDERING A RETREAT!"

The Goreilla screamed as Rien sent a gash up it's arm summoning still more Leapmafoo to his side. The shots fired from Rien did little but bounce off the bone plating that lined the Grimm's back.

Sage exhaled loudly soon after Roan replaced his mask. "Whew! I've said it before, but I'll say it again: breath mints are a thing; a thing that you need," he teased as he stabbed a charging Leapmafoo. He continued to hold off Leapmafoo, paying no head to the Goreilla. Suddenly, Roan called for a retreat. "Come on, Pops! I was just starting to have fun!" he called out before promptly being kicked across the face by a Leapmafoo. "I hate it when you're right," he pouted before turning to run east for the trees.

"Tch." Live to fight another day and all that. Reloading the Type 800, Rien nodded when he heard the command.

"Right then, time to make tracks." He said to himself. Looking at the Goreilla, he took a mock bow and in the same motion, he pulled something out. "Here, catch!" He threw the object at the Grimm, which had the words, "flash-bang" written on it. With a mocking wave, Rien ran for it.

Maria slowed her spinning enough to allow Sarah to get her feet on the ground. Maria stumbled a bit from dizziness, but a few twirls in the opposite direction set her right. Her aim would be a bit off as a side effect from the spinning, but she took aim with Awe and emptied the remaining 5 rounds at the leapmafoo to act mostly as a distinction to cover their retreat. "Fine! Can't get any money if we're dead." The pair sprinted along with the rest of the group, Sarah failing to go top speed to avoid outrunning her sister. "Well that's not true! We can still get paid, we just wouldn't be able to spend the money is all!" "You really think we'd still get payed if we die..?" "Well, of course!"

"Retreat! What the hell is this?!" Athenasia pouts and turns to run sheathing Aswrey and running away following the others. She turned back looking at the Goreilla thinking to herself. "I really want to kill it...so tempting."She turns her whole body around readying a full sprint at the Goreilla but changes her mind last minute and continues the retreat with the rest of the group. "Damn this..."
