The Recovery of the Blademaster [CLOSED]

Kylee held out her bare arms and closed her eyes, activating her semblance. Her skin immediately began to heat up. Within moments the air around her was noicably hotter and her skin glowed red with searing heat. Kylee had to be careful, controlling her breath, making sure that she remained in control of her particularly unpredictable Semblance. After a few moments the deactivated it. A few grey wisps of evaporated sweat swirled around her. The Redhead smiled
"See what I mean?"

Her eye wide, Kokkino stares in wonder. "That's amazing...!" She mumbles out. "You're like a blowtorch!"

Kylee laughed and put a hand to the back of her head, adjusting her ponytail slightly
"Not quite as hot as that, but I can get pretty hot" she blushed slightly "literally I mean."

A sneaky look enters Kokkino's gaze and she slinks around behind Kylee. "Well, maybe not just literally." She whispers into the redhead's ear with a Cheshire grin behind her bandages.

Kylee turned bright red, and felt her skin grow hotter as she became a little more nervous. She chuckled awkwardly, searching her brain for an alternative to pursuing this line of conversation.
"Did you want a sparring partner" she offered, drawing Pyretalon "might be good for you to get used to swordplay on the move again."

Quickly stepping back Kokkino draws Twin Riptides, extending them into whip formation. "Sure!"

Kylee reached onto her back and retrieved her rounded shield, she pounded the side of it with Pyretalon
"After you"

Kokkino concentrates and takes a deep breath before charging forwards, zigzagging side to side as she prepares to launch herself into the air.

Kylee lifted her shield and readied her sword for a counterstrike, she slowed her breathing so as not to accidentally combust and burn her sparring partner.

Launching herself into the air Kokkino propels herself into a spin, her weapons becoming a literal whirlwind of blades around her as she fell towards Kylee.

Kylee took the hit on her shield, using the force to add force to her own attack, pivoting on the spot and bringing her own weapon to bear in a big sweeping arc.

The hit collided with Kokkino's shoulder and she was sent tumbling to the side, able to catch her feet under herself to flip into a prepared stance.

"You ok?" Kylee asked, careful not to lower her guard in case it was a feint.

With a huff of air Kokkino sets a determined look on Kylee. "I feel fine." She says before lunging in and lashing out with the blades, not using the dust enhancing triggers.

Kylee lifted her shield, catching both blades on its curved edge before swinging the blade, stopping just shy of Kokkino's waist
"Dead" she grinned innocently.

With a grin, Kokkino giggles a little. "I think you mean incapacitated."

Kylee shrugged
"Bit of both" she grinned, before taking a step back and readying her stance.

Kokkino moves back to her position before standing in a low-down stance, drawing her blades back in preparation.

Kylee cocked her head to one side
"My turn to go first, ok." She lunged forwards, jabbing forwards with her sword whilst keeling her shield tight to her body, guarding her exposed side.

A flash of sparks showers down as Kokkino blocked with a flourish, darting around Kylee's side and placing the sword across the back of her neck. "Dead." She states with a proud look on her face.

Kylee relaxed and turned
"Looks like you're getting faster already" she smirked.

With a slight clanking, the Blademaster retracts the whipswords into their shortsword form. "Yeah, it does!" She says with excitement before clipping the swords to her back.

"So, this friend you were protecting, are they ok?"

Kokkino nods and draws closer. "Yeah, she had her leg replaced a week or so ago. She's currently in rehab, running the obstacle courses and such to get used to the bionic."

"That's terrible" she gasped "But at least she's ok, you succeeded in protecting her."

The albino sighs slightly. "Not really, she still lost her leg. It also wrecked her armor."
