Brady Vargus, Rachael Lorelei

Well, He'd managed to piss it off, so that was a small victory at least. Only now the something's from earlier seem to have taken a shine to him. not wanting to get too closely acquainted with his new swim-mates, Brady uses some rubble from the walls to boost himself back up to the handholds he'd shot out earlier. from there he turns and fires into the water below, flash-heating it.

The rubble falling off the wall caused Rachael to fall with it. Unfortunately she didn't have her sword with her either, that stayed in the wall. The faunus girl was flung into the water on her back, but she quickly recovered. As she stood up, she looked at the Burrowham and then at her sword. While it wasn't paying attention to her, she ran towards the wall with her sword whilst reaching in one of her pouches. When she was only several feet away, she pulled out a spool of cable which she quickly unraveled and wrapped around her hand a few times whilst flinging the spool with the wire still attached at the hilt of her sword. It wrapped around the hilt a few times and Rachael pulled it, causing her sword to come flying out of the wall and towards her. As it flew towards her, she began to charge her gauntlet, Reverie, with dust.

Brady switched his gun back into a rifle, and flicked the mode selector to ice dust. with the things in the water having quite possibly the worst day of their likely short lives, He switched his focus back to the thrashing burrowham. Hem began sending ice rounds downrange, about one per second, hoping to slow the creature's flailing.

Rachael grabbed her sword out of the air as it flew towards her and she quickly finished charging up her gauntlets dust channeling powers. She clenched her hand into a tight fist as the loud sound of crackling electricity filled the air. With her left arm conducting electricity, she jumped up to the dead burrowham's corpse and stood on its back for a second before launching herself at the other burrowham, her arm cocked back. Upon coming in range, she punched the burrowham, letting all of the electricity from her arm flow through the gauntlet and into the burrowham's skull.

Brady hung there for a few moments, watching for any remaining signs of life from his big group of not-friends in the water. they seemed to all be dead or dying, which suited him just fine. He popped a single ice round into the water, giving rise to some rather warm steam. Having no interest in boiling himself like so much rice, Brady slung his gun on his back and began using the devastation wrought by the irate Burrowham to climb up the wall.

"I think that went rather well" He said casually as he hung from the roof, peering up into the hole left by the Grimm's dramatic entrance.

Rachael stood on the corpse of the burrowham she just electrocuted after most of the electricity had flown into the water. "Considering we didn't cause some part of the cave to collapse, yeah that went well." she said. Looking at the water, she started to have second thoughts about that last strike. "But now what do we do? We can't really freeze the water anymore." Rachael looked around, wondering where Brady was. He wasn't standing anywhere on the ground or hanging on the wall. Then she looked up to see him standing on the roof like it was nobody's business.

"Wha-...? How are you doing that?" she asked with a perplexed expression.

Brady smiled as he looked back down at Rachael. He wedged his feet into a crack in the roof made when the Burrowhams had broken through, and let go with his hands. this swung him completely vertical, hanging by his feet.

"It's not so hard once you get the hang of it. I wanted to check out this hole, see if it leads anywhere. I can't really tell though. probably just leads to their burrow or something."

He shot an appraising look at the water beneath him. it didn't look to be electrified anymore, but it was probably still fairly toasty. he fired another couple of ice rounds into it, just to bring it down to a more bearable temperature before dropping down.

"Just assume it goes somewhere we don't want to." Rachael said as she watched Brady drop from the ceiling. Looking around, she identified the area they came from and the path that they should be taking to continue on their way.

"I suggest we start moving quick before more of those things show up. They probably found us because we were shooting anyways. Plus, we should finish this as quickly as possible." she said, pointing in the direction opposite of the one that they came from. "That way." she said as she began shooting ice at the water with her sword.

"sounds good to me" Brady said, hauling himself out of the water onto the ice bridge. his cringe at the word "quickly" all but imperceptible. He fishes out the vial of dust he'd borrowed earlier and tossed it ahead to Rachael
"Here, top up before the next ones find us."
He stopped a moment and stooped down before he moved on, taking a closer look at one of the floating corpses of the eel things he'd boiled. "Never did care for seafood" he muttered as he stood and moved on.

"I hate seafood..." she muttered as she caught the vial Brady threw to her. She quickly refilled her sword with the ice dust and tossed the empty bottle in the water. She took aim at the water and began firing until a long frozen path laid before them.

"I hope this doesn't take much longer." she muttered as she tread the path before her quickly. She was waiting for some kind of twist of events or massive monster ready to eat them, as it was almost inevitable. "Hurry up! I don't want to be here any longer than I need to." she demanded as she speed walked down the path, creating more as she went.

Brady strolled on forward, taking his turn at maintaining their icy walkway. He passed straight through the first intersection, heading for the next.
"we're still keeping to the left eh? looks like there's one coming up"

"Yeah, keep to the left." Rachael said. Following Brady as she checked the dust levels in her weapons. They were fine, so she didn't think too much about it. She didn't feel like talking, so she began to walk the path in silence. She took each step without making a noise, and silently thought to herself about minor subjects, like about what she might do once this was all over. Her thoughts were disrupted however, as she quickly realized daydreaming in a cave with Grimm would be dangerous.

Brady turned on his heels, facing Rachael. "guess we're going right instead." He said, unperturbed by the dead end.

Rachael gave an irritated grunt as she turned around with Brady. She followed him as they went back to the last fork in the road and decided to go right this time. She was already guessing they were going to deal with more of those, many many more of those, and she tried to push the thought to the back of her mind as they tried the other way.

"well then" Brady said over his shoulder "We've had Burrowhams, wha'cha figure we'll find next? with all this water, maybe there'll be a few of those Sangueteeth things floating about. then again, those eel thingies were some kinda unknown, so maybe theres more stuff like that down here... what do you think?"

"I'm just expecting death around every corner. I don't care what we find, it'll be dead in a few minutes anyways." she said. "I just hope there's less water. I'm not in the mood for swimming. My clothes are still wet from that last encounter."

Rachael was beginning to become cold from all the ice dust they were using and was shivering slightly, but she ignored it. She could endure a little cold.

"something's coming" Brady said in a hushed tone. "Ambush?" He asked, one eyebrow raised towards Rachael

"Could be, but it could be other students too. Be ready but don't fire the moment whatever it is comes into view." Rachael said as she held her sword at her side, and gauntlet held up at chest height as she waited for whatever it was to come into view.
