[closed] Not the most inconspicuous bunch of thieves

Sanguinius stepped out of the blacked-out car, along with his accomplice Harper Cain. It was the middle of the night, and the warehouse he was raiding was all locked up. Hence his new friend. He walked quickly up to the door, and turned to Harper. This wasn't the kind of job he enjoyed, so he was in a bad mood. It took all his self control not to smash the door down with his bionic hand.

Drake's eyebrows furrowed when he saw the car. It seems his tip-off was correct after all. Maybe Drake shouldn't have killed him in the end, but a criminal's a criminal. The tip-off was a futile attempt to bargain with Drake, which he denied. He only came as some sort of twisted respect for the dead man, and it seems that he was telling the truth.

Drake was a thin man, his tuxedo and top-hat seeming strange in comparison to the dusty rooftop he was standing on. Although the shadows concealed him, he still shrunk back from the edge after observing the duo exit the car and proceed with their plan.

They are on edge. It would be suicide to attack now, as it appears that these are no petty criminals. I will attack later, when their defenses are lowered and they are focusing on their current job, whatever that may be.

Drake lifted a hand to scratch the ever-present itch on the side of his face, his fingers only to be greeted by the cold, hard porcelain face-mask that concealed the left side of his face, including where his eye would be. If he had an eye there to begin with. A scowl formed on the visible portion of his face, as memories of the relentless bullying he received as a child resurfaced, accompanied by his hatred, his utter disgust, for rule-breakers. It took all of his restraint to hold himself back from attacking the two criminals now.

No! Focus!

He retreated into the shadows and watched. Observing. Planning. Waiting.

As Harper got to the Locked Door, he used his semblance, a look of pleasure passed across his face as the door clicked unlocked. Him and his odd acquaintance, whatever his name was he thought. He thought his acquaintance look angry but he didn’t really care. His black and red clothing fitting in with his background. His weapon cunningly hidden in his pocket like the rest of his keys.

Sanguinius scowled at Harper as he smugly unlocked the door. He considered incapacitating him now so he could take the whole reward for himself. But, he was useful to Sanguinius, so he walked into the warehouse. He pulled his headscarf over his face, and slipped his gloves on. If they were spotted, he didn't want anyone to be able to notice him easily. He looked around for anything to deactivate the security, and saw a little white box on the wall. It had a little keyhole in the centre, where a security key could deactivate the alarms. He looked at Harper and nodded towards the box, telling him to deactivate it.

Drake jumped down from the roof, kicking off the side of the building and rolling across the concrete floor, making no sound. In the three months he'd been doing this, he had developed a certain skill for stealth and surveillance. He ran into the shadows nearer to the duo of criminals. Drake flinched when the one with the headscarf had a quick look around and turned directly towards him. Luckily, the shadows seemed to be successful at concealing the self-styled vigilante.

Okay, okay, calm down. He didn't see me. I think.

Drake lifted one white-gloved hand to his head, then up to his hat. Pressing a small button on the side of the brim, he quickly lifted his other hand as the brim retracted and was swiftly replaced with metal handles. He brought down the top-hat to about half a meter in front of his torso as two metal strips jumped out of the hat and connected behind his back, lifting the constantly increasing weight of the transforming object. The top of the hat opened up to release two Gatling-gun turrets, and the mass seemed to settle. Weapon in hand -(and on shoulders)- Drake Oswald slowly advanced on the two law-breakers, waiting for them to enter before attacking.

Harper walked toward the white box and with a twist of his hand the security lock clicked and the alarm turned off. Then he turned and spoke to his acquaintance, "Alarms off!" he said with another smirk. "I'm beginning to think having him here is a waste of time!" he whispered “I’ve done all the work up till now" he continued. He continued with his acquaintance into the next room.

Sanguinius walked further into the warehouse, now the alarms were disabled. He switched the lights on, and as they flickered on they revealed hundreds of crates of dust. Without allowing his face to betray any emotion, he begun to walk back to his car. While he was walking back, he thought he saw something move in the shadows, but he wasn't in the mood to check it out any further. He opened the boot of the car, and took out two briefcases, before returning to his companion. "Grab two more cases. This is going to take a while." He said to Harper.

When the thief returned to his partner in crime (pun intended), Drake ran up to the driver's side window through the shadows as not to be seen and knocked on softly. The last thing the poor old man expected was for this half-faced man to reach inside and break his neck, nor for his body to be dragged into a ditch and his coat and hat stolen by his murderer. Nevertheless, it happened, and Drake hid his now top-hat form weapon in the glove compartment, before donning the poor old man's attire and slipping in to the driver's seat.

That old coot didn't do anything wrong... I shouldn't have killed him. I could have just payed him off, or simply knocked him unconscious. No. He was assisting a criminal. He did deserve to die.
And so Drake waited for the two law-breakers to re-emerge, and thought.

Harper went back to the car to grab the last two cases after he did this he walked to check that the driver was still awake. He saw him awake reading there was something odd but he didn’t know what it was. He went back to Sanguinius to give him the cases and continue to collect there dust. Hoping even Wishing someone would be stupid enough to fight them.

Sanguinius took the two cases he had brought from the car, and set them down. Then he walked over to one of the large metal crates. Placing two metal fingers between the gap, he pried the crate open. He marvelled at the glowing crystals for a second, before noticing Harper stood right next to him, offering two more cases. Sanguinius just looked at him, as if he had just done the stupidest thing ever. "Are you really that stupid? Go and collect the dust! And to think you were chosen for your intelligence and infiltration techniques! I could have done just fine on my own."He said, with a wave of his hand, before opening his suitcase and filling it with dust.

((OOC:I'll delete this post once you both post, but Drake'll wait for you two to finish and he'll drive you to an abandoned warehouse where you'll all do combat.))

Harper muttered that “he was just checking” and that “he’d got them this far!” he collected the yellow dust in the first of his two cases and then moved to the white dust and collected the other case with that. After he said this he shouted that he was done and is now waiting for him. “Let’s see what he says to that!” Then he moved toward the car and put the two cases in the boot. And waited for Sanguinius to follow surprised nothing interesting had happened yet.

Sanguinius took his time filling his suitcase, as it was obvious that Harper was rushing. Childish grudges weren't going to get them anywhere. When he called that he was finished, Sanguinius smiled inside, at how childish this person sounded. He was deliberately trying to get one-up on Sanguinius, to get on his nerves. He wondered how many punches it would take to kill this guy, but quickly cut those thoughts off. He was his partner, and he couldn't afford to kill him. He closed his second suitcase, and headed out to the car, placing them both in the boot, before slamming it shut and getting back in the car.

The two thieves filled the back seats and strapped in, so all the more surprised when their driver turned turned and shot both of them with heavy anesthetics. They were unconscious in seconds, and only woke ten minutes later once Drake had driven them to an abandoned warehouse near the edge of town. Drake was stood on a raised pillar some 20 feet away.
"Well, about time you woke up gentlemen! Welcome to my arena!"
Drake paused before holding out his arms an gesturing to the room that was around 30 meters long and 20 meters wide.
"Anyway, back to business. You two broke the law. You must be punished. Normally, I don't do this kind of thing, but then again, normally I don't deal with an assassin and a rich playboy duo stealing dust from an old warehouse, which by the way is still in the trunk. You see, I am offering you a chance. Just walk away and pretend it never happened, leaving the dust here, and I will end you another day, another robbery, or you face me in combat and die. On the slight off-chance that you win, you can both get off scott-free. So, gentlemen, are you in, or are you out?"

Harper shouted “Well I’m defiantly in” he’d been craving this battle. He reached into his pocket and grabbed his weapon The Black Key. He pressed the gem on the end of the key and it grew to its normal proportions. He waited for Sanguinius to reply and get ready to fight. Well if Sanguinius wasn’t sacred of Drake.

When Sanguinius came to his senses, and realised what had happened, he launched himself at Drake, his hands reaching for the man's throat, in blind rage.

Drake's reaction times left a lot to be desired, and Sanguinius collided with him (or rather the pillar her was standing on), and they both tumbled to the floor, however Drake angled himself so he pushed away from the two opponents, and brought out the two gatling guns in their shoulder-mounted position, the word 'Justice' painted on both the turrets.

Landing on his feet, he responded "I'll take that as a yes then? Very well, let the tournament begin!" Drake's hands leaped down to the twin toggle sticks on his chest-mounted mini control panel, angled the gatling guns, and fired at Sanguinius.

Harper watched as Sanguinius ran into a pillar wondering how many brain cells he has left. That was so rash and made no sense acting so stupidly. Harper moved forward getting ready to attack. He held The Black Key in a position to attack. And waited for Sanguinius to make his next move.

Sanguinius laughed as the gatling guns appeared. Finally this was becoming interesting. He figured Drake hadn't seen his bionic hand yet, so he took off the glove, before pointing the hand at Drake and firing a blaze of fire towards him. As it fired, he dodged to the side. Drake wouldn't be able to see him through the fire that was coming straight towards him.

Drake saw the fire-stream just in time and he manipulated the joysticks so the two guns swooped down to block the bulk of the flame, contracting his body into a ball to minimize damage from the rest of the flaming trail.
Well, that one's a bit of a handful. Let's see what the other one's got.
Standing up, Drake angled the two turrets towards Harper and fired red-hot bullets from the still - orange-glowing barrels, spitting off small globs of molten metal shells and cooling down with every spin.

Harper ran to the nearest pillar and dodged behind just as the bullets whizzed past. Harper ran closer to the so called “hero” and tried to move in to strike as his weapon was too short to attack from this distance. He shouted to Sanguinius “YOU GONNA HELP!” he said. Drakes weapons were still pointed at Harper

Sanguinius watched as Drake simply turned and started to open fire on Harper. "HEY! FIGHT ME YOU FOOL!" He yelled at Drake. He powered up his fist and began to fire multiple fireballs at Drake, deliberately missing, trying to get his attention. He didn't care about his teammate who was charging towards Drake, and was possibly getting in the way. Sanguinius began to charge towards Drake too, yelling incomprehensibly.

Drake saw what the crazy one was doing, trying to get his attention. Well, better give him what he wants.

Directing his guns at the floor near Harper's feet to create a cloud of smoke and debris, before turning his attention to Sanguinius. Well, his attention, and his two massive Gatling guns.
Realizing that both his opponents were too close for regular gun-combat, he retracted Justice into it's hat form and dropped a smoke bomb. He only did this when his enemies were getting out of hand, as he believed that they at least deserved a fair chance, but then again, he had given them a chance to walk away from all this.

His half-mask had thermal cameras as well as night vision, so he could see exactly where his hits were going. Drake jabbed at Sanguinius' stomach and extended a roundhouse kick to Harper simultaneously, as he now felt that all these two deserved now was death.

Drakes blow connected with Harpers shoulder he fell backwards. Harper watched as Sanguinius got hit and not bothering to see if he was ok, quickly got up and moved toward Drake and swung towards him hoping to cut him in two if the right areas of his weapon hit, if not Drake may get brain damage from the blunt side of his sword.

Sanguinius never saw the fist coming towards his stomach, but when it connected, it wasn't exceptionally strong. He barely flinched, and even laughed, before trying to grab the fist before it drew back, with his prosthetic hand.
