CHARACTER

Name: Chelsea Lan Liu ; The Bashful Orchid

Age: 16 Years; Born on the twenty-seventh day of the twelfth month.

Gender: Female ; Caracal Faunus

Symbol: A sort of tornado, with several flower petals storming within it. The tornado itself is created with tribal-styled curved lines, while the petals are also in a tribal style. Both parts are purple, though the petals are a lighter shade of it than the tornado.

Occupation: Student, part-time combat instructor, hobbyist author and illustrator.

Appearance: Chelsea is a rather slim, fit, and strong (it may not seem so at a normal glance) lass of primarily Chinese bloodlines. Her height is exactly five foot two, making her one of the…shorter…girls around. Somewhat. Both eyes of hers are, of course, narrowed, and hold quite the radiant shade of violet. Each are somewhat shielded over by her hair, which is a few inches below shoulder level, is fashioned in a scene style, and has several violet streaks marked across her hair. A pair of caracal ears rises from her skull and through her hair, showing her Faunus bloodlines.

Her battle gear/casual wear consists of a dark purple longsleeve as a first torso layer, with a somewhat tight, black hoodie. The hoodie is also a longsleeve, and the cloth on the torso itself is cut off just beneath the breast, leaving an area of her first longsleeve visible. Along with this, she wears a pair of skinny jeans, which are either a deep ebon or a light or dark shade of grey. The bottoms of her jeans are tucked within her boots, which are black like a good portion of her attire.

She’ll always be wearing a scarf of a nice, light orchid tint around her neck, as well as a pair of striped gloves which are --- you guessed it --- black and purple. She also has a bracelet that she never forgets, composed of onyx and emerald stones. It, along with her scarf, are her prized possessions, as they were given to her as a gift from her grandmother before her passing. If stolen away and/or lost, she may fall into a state of panic, guilt and sadness, rage (if it was actually stolen), or perhaps a wild storm of emotions --- the ones listed having a chance of being included or excluded. Either way, it wouldn’t be the most…happiest of sights; not in the least.

---Her symbol is seen on the left side of her inner shirt, above the area where her heart is, as well as the back of her gloves.
---Her hood is almost always seen up when wearing her battle gear.
---She may be seen wearing a white or grey shortsleeve on top of her purple longsleeve for an extra layer, as she likes the idea of layering up.
---Alongside her hood which is almost always up, Chelsea has an mp3 player with a pair of black, white, and dark purple headphones. She has a love for music, so they’re almost always worn on her head.

History: Chelsea was born on December 27th, two days after Christmas, to a family whose lineage consisted of a long string of Hunters, Huntresses and, last but not least, Faunus. The first few years of her life were decent; she obtained good care and attention from her family, and was able to enjoy the occasional celebration that she was brought to…or, on some occasions such as her birthday, was brought to her.

Soon after she entered her Pre-schooling years and turned four, both of her parents began to get a tad…distracted, for say, by their jobs --- keeping control of higher-class monster alerts and whatnot whenever needed. This basically left Chelsea alone with her grandmother, who began to replace the caretaking role that her parents had occupied prior. The lack of attention from her parents wouldn’t exactly revert to the way things were before; instead, they would actually get so into their jobs that both of them would decide to leave their home and patrol the well majority of the world, traveling with a band of Hunters and Huntresses much like themselves. Before, Chelsea was “alone” with her grandmother, in the sense that it was almost like her parents were never there. This decision would make the meaning most literal.

The departing of her parents granted years of sorrow hanging upon Chelsea’s shoulders, but she was kept up and ready by her grandmother. Through the years of Chelsea’s absence, her grandmother gradually filled in the role for both her mother and father, giving her the uttermost attention and guiding her when she needed guidance most. When she had a bad day, needed help, or perhaps even wanted to talk of personal matters (such as crushes AHAHAH yee yee), Chelsea’s grandmother was always there to talk and give advice. Often times, the lass was uncertain about herself, but her caretaker insisted that she be positive and optimistic --- so she was, for the most part. Because of this, she had built a temporary, quirky, and kind nature to her.

By the time that the girl turned nine, she had been within the later years of schooling down at Sanctum. Her grandparent had also begun training her personally, passing the skills that she had picked up from when she was an active Huntress down to her kin. She also taught her how to use Orchid Zephyr --- her initial weapon, and the weapon that Chelsea would officially inherit as a sort of heirloom and gift, around the time of her twelfth birthday. The training sessions and good days between her, as well as her grandmother, would continue on for the next three years. On her fifteenth birthday, she would be gifted with a beautiful, tinted orchid scarf which, at the time, was folded and had a bracelet composed of onyx and emeralds within the cloth. At the time she was overjoyed, and had thanked her grandparent with much glee before carrying on wearing the two accessories everywhere that she went in the weeks afterwards. This would be one of the only happy and memorable events to cross the girl’s mind before things began to slip slowly downhill.

Several months after her fifteenth birthday, Chelsea would be attending school the day that her grandmother was put into a critical state, and wouldn’t find out until she got a call in the middle of a class. From the call, she had found out that her grandmother had a heart attack and was being treated at a local hospital. Because of the family-related emergency, and because her parents --- to her surprise --- were there to pick her up for the sole purpose of checking up on their kin, she was permitted to leave the school premises and take the rest of the school session off to head to the hospital. On the way to the trio’s newfound destination, Chelsea found out that her parents had decided to take a sudden break from their occupations when they found out about her grandmother, in order to check up on her condition. This restored some of the faith that the girl had lost in her parents when they initially left, though it seemed to fade into oblivion as soon as she and her kin arrived at the medical facilities.

As soon as the three arrived at the hospital and were led to a certain patient’s room, they were given a brief report considering their elder’s physical stature. To each of their shock and sorrow, all three of them learned about the critical condition that Chelsea’s grandmother had been left in after what had happened. She wasn’t expected to live to see the light of the next day, so the doctor advised her visitors to say their farewells and whatnot before everything went down.

They did so, but Chelsea was left alone after her parents dismissed themselves soon afterwards, giving the excuse to check back in with the group they had set off with in the first place. She accepted their decision with the uttermost reluctance, though she herself didn’t leave. Within a surge of patience and grief she would stay, and she would be rewarded with a small gift; the gift of being able to say goodbye. Albeit it was for a few minutes, Chelsea’s grandmother woke from her unconscious state late at night. During those minutes, the two would exchange quiet words, which would then turn to sorrowful farewells. Then…the elder went.

Once again, the girl was alone…but this time, she was completely alone. Her parents had stayed around for the funeral that would be held, but would leave once more a week or so after the service. Their daughter was left completely alone this time around; no parents to guide her, no grandmother…no one. She had basically no one to refer to; no one to obtain advice from, and no one to talk to. Chelsea basically became lost after the death of her grandmother, nearly losing her quirkiness and seeming to replace it by more shy, insecure and somewhat unconfident aspects that she had built for herself. The cheerful side to her would be buried under these newer traits, though would still be apart of her for the ones that would come to (possibly) befriend her to discover.

As sad as it is to say, she would continue living on with this newfound personality in the coming years. She applied for Beacon during her last year at Sanctum, and had found out that she had been accepted as the school year came to an end. Around the time that she had found this out, she had also signed up to be a combat instructor at a training “school.” She was accepted part-time for the role, that way she would still be able to attend Beacon while carrying on with her new job. However, during the first month or so after getting the job, she grew quite busy with matters, as she had to be walked through training tutorials for work, and had to prepare for the move to Beacon at the same time. This weighed her down a tad, and she ended up actually arriving at Beacon somewhat later than she hoped.

Personality: A very shy, quiet, kind, and gentle young girl. After events that happened when she was fifteen years of age, she had grown to be much more insecure and antisocial than she was prior, and this may possibly cause her to be more prone to things such as bullying and whatnot. She has learned to go with the flow for the majority of the time, rarely speaking her thoughts and ideas even if she really wants to and/or it would benefit her and those around her and just letting everybody lead her along. When asked for advice, she normally just gives a simple, kind-hearted agreement, even if she disagrees with what’s happening deep down.

Some may notice this and take this to their advantage --- and Chelsea knows this well. She keeps a mental log concerning just this. She takes note of each person that asks her to do something, and normally goes along. If it seems that a particular person/people are just using her --- and she’ll know for a fact when this is happening --- she’ll gain a temporary surge of confidence and confront them. The confrontation isn’t pretty most of the time, and the person/people that was/were using her know not to do what they did beforehand again.

To Chelsea, shyness and sensitivity go hand and hand --- which is why the best way to befriend her is to just treat her nicely, not yell at her, and converse with her at a speed and level that she’s comfortable with, yet at the same time isn’t too boring. Those who are able to get her to call her a friend this way will unlock the quirkiness that the girl has sealed within her well being. They’ll see the happy, “uniquely-humored” girl that she really is. They’ll also discover the obsessions over romance and chick-flicks that they wouldn’t have thought she had the first day they had gotten on her good side, as well as her drive to willingly sacrifice herself for anyone she cares for.

Strength: Somewhat of an expert at being silent, very lithe and agile (this combined with silence enables her to slick about without being noticed), normally holds a very stable emotional stature because of the enduring past events (or appears to), skilled at fisted combat and armed combat alike (Because of training received), renowned skill of drawing and illustrating, jumping (as caracal have quite the skill when it comes to jumping)

Weakness: Talk of stable and well-kept family bonds (tends to get a tad sorrowful and the slightest bit jealous if the conversation revolves around this), being social/talking without stuttering, being confident/having pride in herself (unless dealing with confrontations), is a perfectionist (primarily kicks in when drawing and something looks the slightest bit off or not proportional, but can be seen in other instances; may be a trigger for weird/ridiculous moments)

Semblance: Electrokinesis, aka the manipulation of electricity. When using her semblance, Chelsea is enabled the conduction, as well as the shifting, of electrical energy. The sparking essence of her abilities appears to have strong ties toward her emotional status. Though she has a controlled keep over her abilities, the energy that she manipulates to her will may go haywire from time to time if she finds herself troubled emotionally. One of several things that will hint toward Chelsea having a rather…shocking…outburst is a sort of static cycling throughout her hands. Over the years she has mastered the “art” of keeping her appearance in check and preventing her emotions from being seen for the most part, but her semblance may give her away anyways sometimes.

Often times, Chelsea’s manipulated energy will either be a light, radiant orchid (matching her eyes, basically), a dark violet, or some shade of blue. The color of the energy may change depending on her emotions (black for depression, warm colors for rage ---wilder storming of electricity when depressed or enraged --- cool colors for sadness, etc), but her shock will almost always be of an orchid/lavender or azure tint. This ties back with her ability to keep her emotional appearance in check; she’s able to hide her emotion through electrical energy and looks alike, though there will be moments where she loses control.

So long as she’s in a powered area or somewhat near a certain amount of electrically-charged objects, Chelsea’s semblance is enabled. In areas where electrical energy is regulated, all that she needs to do is absorb a necessary amount of energy that she will then use in God knows what kind of ways. She tends to use her little power to charge the metallic portions of her weapons to give her strikes an extra oomph, though may also be able to assist in energy defusing and whatnot.

---Should a thunderstorm occur while her semblance is in use, Chelsea would basically have an unending supply of energy, though only for the duration of the storm.
---Her “electrical capacity” only goes so far. It’s somewhat large, but still goes so far. Should she push past her normal energy intake, a quick discharge would be needed. If no discharge occurs and even a few minutes pass while possessing immense amounts of energy, pain is to come, and the strain normally lingers for the next couple of days. It’s why she tends to use this sort of overcharge as a last resort.

WEAPON

Name: Orchid Zephyr

Primary Form: Orchid Zephyr takes the form of a bow, and keeps its arrows within a sling kept on her back. When looked at physically, one can automatically tell that it’s a bow-double scythe hybrid, though wouldn’t be able to tell its rifle attachments right away. The scythe blades attach to each other by hooks located on the tip of each point (when connected they create the ‘dip’ that one can slide an arrow into), and a portion of each blade nearest to the head base is reeled back to reveal a small bar, allowing there to be a place to grip while in bow form. Several layers of metal are located just below the base of each blade head, and from inside of those layers, a piece of durable, yet stretchy string extends and connects each bow half/scythe.

It may take a decent look (as they’re packed into a small size in primary form) but, if one were to notice the trigger, trigger handle, and trigger guard folded against each retracted set of metal, they would be able to correctly assume that the scythe has double-action of ranged weapons.

Secondary Form: The layers of metal described in the primary form slide down, covering the bow string and connecting in the center. From that center line both scythes are able to be parted, yet are still connected by the same bow string. (An extra roll or two of string is located beneath the metal, but locks itself in primary form.) In this form, the hooks of each scythe blade also disconnect and shift about to create a small line of jagged mini blades, allowing there to be some real --- and somewhat fatal --- dual scythe slashing and action.

When the metals creating the scythe handles slide down and lock, the trigger and trigger guard unfold as well, and an empty rectangular shape unfolds for the ammo pack. These bullets are fired through a small tube-like structure that extends from the back of both scythe handles when nearing the back of the scythe heads. Those structures are locked against the bow string in primary form, locking them in place, but are unlocked and slid out in secondary and tertiary form, allowing bullets to be fired and for the extra rolls of string sealed within to be pulled out.

As hinted toward at the mention of the trigger, trigger handle, trigger guard, and empty slot, Orchid Zephyr reveals has gun attributes --- specifically ones belonging to an assault rifle so, yes, it's automatic when fired --- though they aren't apparent until the secondary and tertiary form. One could guess that the ‘tube’ that locks the string inside the scythe handles and extends out is the gun aspect’s barrel --- and those who guess this would be correct. Within the gun, a flatter, hollowed, and rectangular object connects from the inside of the empty ammo slot to the barrel, growing thinner and smaller as it nears the area where the bullets are fired. (When the gun aspect of Orchid Zephyr is inspected, it would primarily resemble a Barett REC7.)

Tertiary Form: Basically, Orchid Zephyr keeps the majority of changes that it received in secondary form. The only noticeable difference is the further shifting of both scythe blades. Instead of the blade points being turned into a mess of smaller blades, the entire blade portions of both scythes obtain that sort of structure, making a blow from one of them even more painful and/or deadly.

History: Created in a more…olden (for lack of better term) era by Chelsea’s grandmother. Orchid Zephyr was initially a bow-scythe hybrid, without the gun attachments or the hooks on the end of each blade. When it was given to Chelsea, she asked permission to further enhance it during her years in Sanctum. Of course, she would be given the okay to do so, thus the upgrades would commence.

She added the hooks on the end of both blades to create less of a struggle for holding arrows in place before firing them, and also added automatic rifle attachments and features to the weapon, that way she could have range when fighting with her scythes connected and parted all the same.

In the second form of Zephyr, it sounds like you included several forms - the scythe, as well as a gun of some sort. We've lifted the limit on amount of forms or weapons someone can have - within reason. You've described yours extremely fluently and as such they'll be fine, but I'd like it if you separated the description of the gun form as well. Beyond that, everything looks great.
