Lost and Forgotten

Maria raised her hand, waving around trying to get Roan's attention. "Oh! Oh! Mr. Scalyfaced guy! Is this illegal? I'm strictly against illegal stuff!" Just then, Sarah grabbed her sister by the neck and pulled her aside, hissing in her ear. "Look, Maria. I know your against this sort of thing, but I've got a feeling you like eating more than you like you hate crime." "B- but, there are other jobs..!" Sarah blew smoke out her nose and shut her eyes, her tone was softer now, though it still carried her typical seriousness. "Maria... You know as well as I do that there are no other jobs. Someday, a dry season like this will be permanent. We need money, he's offering. We're doing this." Maria looked on the brink of tears, but finally gave in and nodded sadly, silently accepting. Sarah stood and took Maria with her. "Alright, if we're talking water, I'm grabbing my quiet legs for the trip. Maria, talk business." With that, Sarah left the area to the car to fetch her non-chainsawed prosthetic legs.

Sarah rolled her eyes. "I'm not leaving 'em behind, dipshit. I' just swapping them so the engine's don't get wet, it's a pain in the ass replacing the chains if they rust." Maria rested her chin on Sage's shoulder innocently. The scene would look odd, a 6' 3'' woman leaning comically over on Sage's shoulder from behind. "It's true, she doesn't like rusty chains. I've helped before, the engine itself is coated in a waterproof seal, save for the exhaust ports, but the chains should be replaced after a while and they are expensive!"

Roan was visibly displeased with Sarah's behaviour  but decided to do nothing about it and to instead begin the expedition to the wreckage. He stood up in the grass while clutching his scythe and couldn’t help but laugh a little under his own breath at the scene of Sage being leaned on by Maria.  He inspected the blade once more to ensure it was properly sharpened for a moment before a look a satisfaction spread across his face as be returned the weapon into their smaller knife-like form. He slipped them into their custom sheaths and turned to face the group that he was about to lead. "It seems we are all here and have gotten to know each other sufficiently so I suggest we get a move on and earn some lien before the day is out." Roan would then gesture toward a southward path that Roan would immediately begin walking down  without checking that any of his fellow group members were following or not. While walking he watched the treeline and seemed to relax a little as be observed nature as he walked down the path toward the wreckage.

Athenasia hasn't really been doing anything for the past several hours. All she could do is make some small talk with the group, make fun of some people, and fangirl over Sage. She still managed to somehow follow him around wherever he went. "S-So dreamy...."

"Everybody stop." Rien ordered, coming to a halt in his walk. Looking around the vet observed the trees, and then the path they were on.

"How did the ship crash? Do you know?" Rien said, his voice serious and directed at Sage.

"Don't you think it's strange?" Rien asked, "A ship, a freighter no less, is just abandoned like you said, but it can be reached with an easy walk. That's a little odd don't you think?" Rien pointed out, "And look around, we've passed this before." He gestured to the treeline, and the ground, which had footprints on it.

Roan did not react to what would appear his own slip up and instead spoke in a calm tone. "I do know the way I walked down this same path the other day to ensure the travel was safe". Roan ensured he did not show his own confusion at the current situation and instead continued to walk forward in hopes that they would still arrive safely.

Athenasia looks over at Roan and says. "You don't know! Do you!cI bet we're going the complete wrong way!" Athenasia goes on for a few more minutes and then takes a deep breath after all she said returning her gaze back to Sage.

Sarah looked about ready to punch Roan in the head, but held her tongue. She knew better then to upset the one paying her, apparently Athenasia did not. Maria whispered something in Sarah's ear and Sarah nodded before whispering something back. Maria lifted Sarah up under her arms while Sarah pulled off her legs and quickly replaced them with Thor and Zeus before continuing on her way, adjusting her legs to comfort with each step. "Hey fellas, don't mean to alarm or anything, but I don't think we're alone, they don't sound friendly! You should get ready!" "Or don't, I don't care. Means more money for us." Sarah revved her chainsaws to prep them for combat, Maria pulled Awe from it's holster and checked the ammo before flipping off the safety and pointing it around the woods with no particular direction.

Rien, with reflexes born of battle, quickly drew his Type 800 and smashed the closest's one head in before grabbing another by the throat and shaking off the last, intending to crush that one's head into paste with his boot.

Athenasia despite the situation looked over at Roan and said. "All....your...fault. Athenasia out her hand on the hilt of Aswrey and awaited an attack from the leapmafu. "Bring it on ya beasts!" Of course Athenasia being Athenasia, she looked over at Sage and had a fangirl moment before coming back to reality and realize the situation they were in.

"Monkeys!" Maria took aim and fired two rounds from awe at the leapmafu, aiming to hit as many as possible with the explosions. Sarah revved up her chainsaws and charged at the monkeys, slicing through several of them with simple kicks like butter. Maria holstered Awe and drew Shock, giving it an intimidating spin around her torso before holding sections 1 and 3 in either hand and activating the tasers. Sarah yelled at Athenasia. "Hey! Get your head out of your ass and move!"

Roan stood and watched what was unfolding before him for a moment. He made the choice to break Valente into two knives after seeing the number of his opponents and they all appeared to be very agile to a large scythe may not be the most effective weapon to fight this battle with. After a moment of unscrewing and collapsing the two knives were being clutched in Roan's reptilian hands. He made a mental note to keep watch for Sarah's attitude as behaving like that might cause fights between other members and compromise the task. He would slash the odd piece of tree or whatever the beasts would toss at him as he waited for the Leapmafu to attack and looking over at Athenasia it appeared she had the same idea as he did.

"Move you say? This is my technique....asshole.....Yes, a laijitsu cherry blossom..." Just as a Leapmafu came at her she sliced causing the too half of its body to separate from the bottom half. She gave Sarah a look of. "Ya bitch, what are you gonna do about it?" She sliced through 2 more at once charging her way. After that she threw one kunai behind her pinning a Leapmafu to a tree. She looked back over at Sage seeing if he noticed her badass moment. "Did I do good Sage-sama!?"

"Why are you singing?" Rien had to ask as began to walk backwards towards the group, blasting away many with the Type 800 before having to draw a second, smaller pistol that he kept as a back up.

"You a musician or something?" He guessed casually.

Roan looked over his tiny opponents and weighed his options. They looked small enough to manage kill just by spitting some of his acid onto it but that would require lifting his mask away from his mouth and potentially harming another with his toxic breath or there is the possibility of missing and hitting someone with the acid. He stood his ground behind Sage and waited until the enemy was within range of his blades. He swung his left knife toward one of the leapmafu and nearly decapitated it before keeping the momentum and rotating to kick the dead monster into another and then took a more defensive stance to counter any leapmafu that might attack him or catch Sage off guard.

Roan braced as he switched places with Sage. He kept his defensive stance as one Leapmafu came towards him. He swung his blades in a scissor motion on both sides of the beasts neck as he made another kick toward a nearby beast.

Athenasia looked up as she counted about 6 Leapmafoo's overhead. She threw 2 kunai up slicing the heads of two of the Leapmafoo's. She unsheathed Aswrey and began charging it with electricity, with the conductive silver makin the process go by in but a second. She stabbed it into the ground avoiding 2 more Leapmafoo's as they crashed into the ground being electrocuted by the chockeave sent out by Aswrey. There remained 2 Leapmafoo's as one pinned her down by surprise and began to hit her with something hard. "OW!"
