Brothers of Prophecy - Day 1: Travel [Bad Guys]

[Taking place Friday, Week 6]

The airship descended into a snowy clearing, its doors opening to reveal the makeshift team on their way to the temple. Izo called over the whine of the engines, “Thanks Brac! Let’s go!” He hopped off the airship, his blade drawn, prepared for resistance if they found any. His boots sunk into the snow up past his ankles, and he looked around the clearing, seeing only trees and snow in every direction. He could see his breath in the air, and he pulled his hood over his ears. Good to be back in the frigid weather again. He thought with unusual cheer.

He heard a voice through his scroll, “Oi laddy, I’ll be back to get ye when ye call, but I’ve got business o’ me own to take care of. Have fun with yer little adventure!” Came the voice of the man piloting the airship, Brac Maddix.

“Thank you, Brac,” Izo replied, “The rest of your pay will come then.”

He sheathed his blade upon seeing the empty forest and pulled out the device, opening up a map of the surrounding area. They were still a few miles from their destination, but they should be able to get there if they travelled quickly. He turned to look at the open door, “Well?” He said, “Come on people!”

Laeleps walked toward Izo with Rosa at his side. He was wearing a thick jacket, something he rarely ever did. Despite not being able to feel the cold from his dulled senses, Laeleps' body would still react to it and have him in danger of freezing to death. "We're coming but why are we in the middle of nowhere? Where's this damn temple you were talking about?"

Rosa leaned her had on Laeleps' shoulders playfully as she scratched at her ear. She basically repeated what Laeleps said by saying. "Ya, where's the damn temple Izo!"She pokes Laeleps and whispers to him. "Ready to murder some shit?"She gives and evil grin and gigges.

With a terrible smile on his face Laeleps looks at Rosa. "As long as I'm alive I'll always have the urge to kill something." We're in the middle of nowhere. Unless you're going to hack up some snow or cut down a tree you're out of luck. Show's what you know if I ever get bored I could just kill sweet cheeks or that other guy who came along. Laeleps pulls Rosa in closer, contemplating what how interesting he could make the kill.

Izo looked at the pair, shaking his head, Jeez, they really are a pair of creeps, huh? He thought before saying, "I told you guys already, We have to walk a bit before we get to the actual temple. It isn't far, but it might take the better part of the day with this damned snow." He said, putting his scroll back into his coat pocket.

IC:

Junis looked around.

They really were in the middle of absolutely nowhere.

Already Junis wanted to raise the question as to why they had to walk some distance - why not just jump out of the jet while above this temple? That would have been simpler. Still, it didn't actually bother him; perhaps there were some things on the way that would be wroth seeing.

"Then lets get going already."

Izo shook his head a little at what he considered immaturity on the part of these people that he hired. He sighed, then began walking towards the treeline, "Come along, then." He said, the snow crunching beneath his feet. He had taken a few steps towards the trees before he noticed something was wrong. He frowned just as a pack of beowolves came snarling out from the treeline, Why were they so quiet?! He had time to think before the first beast was upon him. He ducked to the side, unsheathing his blade and slashing into the Grimm's side in an instant. The rest of the beowolves ran past him and at the rest of his team.

A smile of sick twisted happiness appears across Laeleps face as the beowolves come toward him. "NOW WE'RE TALKING!" Laeleps opens the left arm of Chimera and loads in fire dust and bullets. He raises the arm and takes aim sending out a fire ball toward his attackers. "Burn! I want to see you buuuurn!" While his other arm is preoccupied with the beowolf barbecue, Laeleps draws the blade of the right arm of Chimera and prepares himself ready to brutally maim and kill any wolf idiotic enough to come toward him.

Rosa looked at Laeleps dreamily until she heard the sound of snarling beasts. She looked over a them and licked her lips. "TIME FOR A SERVING OF BLOOD AND SUFFERING BEASTS!"Rosa unsheathed the 10 plagues and used her aura to raise them behind her back in wing formation and she swung them around to the front hoping to smack or chop some beowolves with it. she unsheathed a sharp combat knife and lunged at a beowolf hoping to stab it over and over again quenching her thirst for blood.

Silently, Junis turned to face the beasts that approached. The only indication of combat he gave was when he raised both arms, palms out and facing forwards.

Izo spun back around to see the beowolves still charging the others. He heard one come alongside him and ducked, hearing the beast's paw swing over his head. He brought his blade around and swung, cutting deeply into the Grimm's arm. He saw another beast run up on his side, and he used the leverage of his blade stuck inside the beast's arm to swing his feet up and kick it under its jaw. He put some distance between him and the two attackers, looking up to see an oddly coordinated attack from the pair.

The fireball whipped through the group of beowolves, catching one of them in the shoulder. The beast howled and was twisted about. It fell to the ground, wounded, but quickly regained its footing. It ran at the man who had hurt it, one arm hanging useless at its side. It was joined by two of its brothers in attacking the man. The injured beowolf lunged straight at the man, rage boiling in its beastly eyes. It growled loudly as it did so, aiming to snap its jaws around the man's neck. The other two beasts came at him from either side, one swinging low with a paw and the other aiming for the back of his head. Their movements were oddly in sync, as they all attacked simultaneously.

The beasts seemed to recognize the danger and slowed down their charge just long enough for the woman's blades to pass harmlessly through the air. The wolves actions were completely unlike normal beowolves, as they seemed to show some sense as they attacked. Five beowolves made for the woman, and they split off into two groups. Three wolves attacked the woman from the front, lunging in with claws outstretched. As they did so, the other two ran around behind the woman and lunged, jaws aiming to get a hold of her legs.

Two pairs of beowolves made for the boy with his arms outstretched. One pair moved to the boy's flank before aiming to bite a chunk out of his shoulder. The other pair attacked him head on, swinging their paws at either side of his head.

Quite a ways away, a man smiled as he saw the events unfurl before his eyes. He looked as if through a haze at the beowolves' attack, pleased with his handiwork. If one were to look for him, however, he would be nowhere in sight.

IC:

In accordance to the number of wolves that advanced towards him, 2 pairs of dark grey metal spheres ejected themselves from under his arms, flying outwards at extreme speeds, ready to meet the Beowolves before the beowolves reached Junis. Each sphere was directed to a single beowolves' head.

Laeleps followed the movements of the wolves but lost track of one of the uninjured Grimm. Keeping his eye's on the other two, Laeleps thought of a plan to stop them. There's no other choice and you know that. I feel sick just thinking of helping you but fine. "Duality." With those words Laeleps glows briefly and his aura begins to manifest itself coming out of his back in the shape of a man. As the aura takes shape Laeleps keeps his attention focused on the other two wolves. Bringing down his blade toward the ground Laeleps shields himself from the beast blow. With his other hand still ready to shoot fire dust, Laeleps throws a straight towards the wolf that is jumping towards him hoping to land a powerful punch to its face while simultaneously firing more dust at it this time from point blank range. Without wasting time the aura form reacts to the wolf's attack, raising an arm to defend Laeleps from the attack and using the other hand to grab the wolf by the neck before wrestling it down to the floor. Saneleps begins to apply as much pressure as it can to the neck trying to snap the Grimm's neck.

Rosa would roll out of the way letting the beowolves smash into each other. If her roll succeeded she would then send the rest of her 9 blades flying at the stunned wolves. As this all happened Rosa's thirst for blood increased and her eyes would begin to turn from the light pink color they held now, to a bright crimson. She would stare the remaining wolves in the eyes and as they approached she would swiftly strike at them with Ares. "I thirst..for blood, DIE BEASTS AND DROWN IN YOUR OWN BLOOD!" She said as she would slash violently at the rest of them.
