Class field-trip: Shem vs Marc

The arena: a sprawling area filled with training equipment, and a popular place for student combat. The match in question will be Marc vs. Shem. First to land a hit wins. No killing.

Shem walks on the field, Gleipnir dragging on the ground behind him.

"Do we really have to do this?" he sighs.

Viola follows the weird teacher in to the practice arena, looking around for somewhere to lay down or sit comfortably.

Rolling her eyes at Shem's comment, she says "Well who's fault is it you came in to a combat class? Idiot."

Shem reaches into his pocket and pulls out another lollipop and puts it in his mouth. "I knew I should've just skipped today..."

Straudd takes a seat on the decapitated torso of a practice dummy. He settles in to watch the sparring session with his arms folded.

Marc is a bit disappointed in his opponents lack of enthusiasm. Drawing Olyndicus, Marc stands at the ready. "Come on. What did you come to Beacon for if you are afraid to fight? "he asks seriously.

Jet walks in, watching Shem and Marc wield their large weapons, especially Marc, as they walk to the center of the arena. "This should be fun, haven't seen Marc's weapon before. That thing's massive."

"Hey now, I didnt say I was afraid of fighting..." Shem said. "...I just wasnt expecting to fight today."

Kamon walks in between the two competitors. He raises his hand and throws it down, as if to say, "Begin when ever you're ready."

"FIGHT AMIGO! FIGHT FOR YOUR HONOR! FIGHT FOR YOUR YOUTH! FIGHT FOR YOUR FAMILIA!" El Taladro roared, striking poses as he did.

Shem turns his head away from Marc towards Taladro, "Whats that guys problem...", lollipop stick bouncing everytime he opened his mouth.

Viola finds a seat on top of some stacked mats, and pulls out one of her fans to start fanning herself.

This is a much better area for me to fight in... wish I had known we were coming here. she thinks as she watches the two boys square off.

Jet looks over at El Taladro, laughing a bit as the luchadore bellows out his words and strikes various poses.

Marc's weapon starts spinning at fast as he smirks a bit, sprinting like a flash at Shem. Seemingly suddenly he appears behind the opponent, slightly in the air. Olyndicus starts swinging at a diagonal at Shem. 'Lets see what you've got.'

Straudd looks up and is surprised by how quickly Marc closed the gap with that huge weapon - this wasn't going to be a typical heavy weapon vs heavy weapon fight.

In a flash, Shem rolls forward out of the lances way. He rolls back on his feet and faces Marc. "Dang your fast!" he says in a slightly panicked face. He finally readies his sword in front of him.

Surprised at Marc's speed with his large weapon, he leans forward, a bit more interested in the fight now. He studies the two in case he needs to fight either in the future.

Shem smiles, "ok, game on..i guess?" Shem powered up Gleipnir, blades spinning at full speed, he struggles hold it in 1 hand, and does a 'come on' hand gesture to marc.

With no hesitation, Marc starts swinging his weapon at Shem. "I'm the fastest!" he grins as he attacks, the massive, swinging weapon moving fast at the other student.

Shem lifts Gleipnir to block the lance coming at full speed, sparks fly as the weapons touch metal against spinning blades. Shem splits Gleipnir into Huginn and Muninn with Huginn still blocking the lance and swings Muninn under his arm at Marc.

Noticing the incoming weapon, Marc leaps in the air. His foot moved to make contact with Shems face. 'Come on.' he scowls to himself, 'Just one hit.'

"Well... Marc seems kinda cocky..." Jet quietly notes to himself. "Course, everyone gets cocky once in a while..."

Shem lets his legs fall out on him, letting him fall to the ground and slide under Marc's kick, Marc's kick brushing his hair, bringing Muninn, that was swinging to his chest, turning it into a gattling gun, fires outward, thrusting Shem, painfully across the arena on his back. At the end of the ring, Shem flips Huginn down into the ground "above" him and flips back onto his feet, and begins shooting Muninn at Marc.
