Bull in a Dust Shop [Closed]

Cassius cracked his neck, having been sitting in the same position for the better part of an hour. His slightly modified voice came through the mask, "What's our ETA?" He asked, checking his watch. A voice crackled over the sound of the humming engines, "Less than a minute." A female voice replied, "Be ready for a volatile landing zone, it seems he's on some sort of rampage." Cassius stood, grasping the bar that ran overhead. He felt his stomach drop a little as the aircraft descended, a muffled boom marking their getting close. Jeez, this guy's a bit roudy. He removed his weapon from his belt, changing it into a two-handed blade.

The he felt the aircraft touch down, and a hiss of air marked the door preparing to open, "Be careful, Cassius." The girl said from the cockpit. Cassius smirked, "Don't worry, young one." His deep voice replied, "I'll be back before you know it." He stepped towards the door, which swung open to reveal a large quarry that spiralled down towards the middle. Smoke and Dust rose from the landscape, making a rather dangerous enviroment, Hmm, it seems they're making their way towards the center. He thought as he stepped out onto the top of the quarry.

His blade hung by his side, dust kicking up off the ground as the engines powered up and the ship took off from behind him, the doors shutting quickly after he had stepped out. He looked out over the quarry, cycling through a number of ocular modes in his mechanical eye before he spotted his prey, "There you are." He whispered quietly to himself. On the third tier up, he spotted the large man smashing into some mining equipment as its operators scattered out from under it, "Let's begin, shall we?" He quickly made his way to the fourth tier before stopping and looking down at the man and his cronies, Seven of the little guys, then him. He thought, Shouldn't be too bad.

He smirked, taking a deep breath before calling out to them, "Gentlemen," He said, "Isn't this a tad overkill? Attacking a quarry? Do the White Fang have nothing better to do these days?" He asked, his deep voice booming out across the gap.

As the mans voice boomed across the quarry Minos slows down to a halt seemingly content with the damage he's caused and intrigued by the man who dared stand in their way. "Us White Fang have a purpose to serve. And this is part of that purpose. HA! A single man dare fights me? The Horned Juggernaut? Don't make me laugh." Minos roared, flinging away a some debris falling towards him with his semblance as if it were nothing at all. "I don't need to waste my time with you." He said, not even bothering to face the man any more upon getting a good look at him.

"Grunts!" He yelled towards his cronies. "Get rid of this pest. I have better things to do." With that command the other members gathered up and started making their way to Cassius, more terrified of what Minos would do to them if they delayed any further then of the one man who dared to face them.

Cassius smirked, Time for the fun. He switched his weapon to one-handed mode and leapt down, rolling as he landed on the tier below him. He was faced immediately with one of the white fang swinging a blade at him, which he easily side-stepped. He swung his own blade into the man's gut, dispatching him. A trio of his friends attempted to swarm him, but he was prepared. One of them swung overhead at him, which he caught on his own blade. He shoved the blade to the side as the remaining two aimed strikes at his midsection. He spun, moving forward in between the first man and his friends, and brought his blade into the back of the first man. He then activated his semblance, firing a concussive blast of sound into the face of one of the remaining two. The man flew backward, sprawling out on the ground, unconscious.

The remaining four backed off, forming a semi-circle around him as he removed his blade from the dead man's corpse. The body fell to the ground, and he adopted a defensive stance, "Being a little more careful now, I see." He said, twirling his blade around. The men then came at him, their blades singing through the air. He batted one blade aside, spun, and caught another on his own. He kicked the man savagely in the gut, sending him to the ground, before rolling out of the way of the two other strikes. He regained his footing and shot towards the three still standing. He buried his blade in the side of one, removing the weapon quickly and spinning around behind the falling man. His friend attempted to swing his blade at him, but was met with a punch to the gut, followed by a quick slice across his throat. The fallen man now stood, but Cassius delivered a savage kick to his head, knocking him out.

The remaining grunt backed off, dropping his weapon and turning around to run. Cassius quickly switched his weapon to rifle form and shot the man in the leg, causing him to fall to the ground in a heap, crying out from the pain. He quickly walked over and delivered a blow to his head, knocking him out. He turned then to face the huge man who had been watching all this, "Now that that's out of the way," He said, raising his rifle to aim at the large man, "It's time you surrendered. Put your hands up now, and your life will be spared." There was considerable distance between them, so Cassius had to nearly yell to be heard. His sights settled firmly on the man's chest as he awaited his response.

"Useless gnats. Have to do everything myself." Minos muttered under his breath as the last man fell to their opponents' blade. "Prepare yourself, puny human. They might have been useless but they were still faunus. You'll pay dearly for that." Minos had Rho Aius completely deployed now, it covered every inch of his gargantuan body with utmost precision, no part of his was exposed whatsoever to the outside as he made his way through the wreckage he caused, easily kicking aside the corpse of an unlucky employee that got in the way of his charge.

Stopping for a second Minos started squatting down while simultaneously moving his foot against the ground like a bull before the charge. Upon getting in position he starts off with a strong lunge before dashing forwards with utmost speed, building up his semblance exponentially as he got faster and faster, quickly closing the distance between him and his target. "LET'S SEE YOU TRY AND BLOCK THIS!"

Cassius fired off a few rounds towards the now-charging man, but he saw them ping harmlessly off his armour, That stuff's thick. He thought as he quickly changed his weapon to one-handed mode. He dove out of the way, rolling as he hit the ground. He heard the air whoosh behind him as the man sprinted past, Have to be careful here. He quickly regained his footing, adopting a defensive stance, "You'll have to do better than that, big fellow!" He said, taunting the larger man.

Skidding to a stop he realized that a blind charge wouldn't do. Minos then casually walks towards Cassius gradually closing the distance between them until he was only a few meters away. Minos grunts before dashing in with a quick aura-powered right hook. "Puny human, you want things up and personal, don't 'cha?" Minos roared as he attacked the defiant human.

Cassius coun't help but chuckle at the man's comment, but he quickly had to duck to avoid the blow, "You talk as if you're superior." He said before springing his legs up to aim what would be a devastating stab at the man's gut. He moved up in such a way that he was outside the man's punch, his blade hissing towards the outside of his ribs.

Flaring his semblance out, Minos manages to cushion the blow to his ribs while his armor protected him from the blades' cutting edge, both absorbing the impact and preventing penetration. Not that I really needed it but it helps to show them who's boss.. Turning to face the man, Minos aims an elbow towards the mans' head as he twisted while preparing his free arm for a follow up attack. "Of course I'm superior, human. You pathetic ingrates should just die." Minos said as he threw the attack.

Cassius couldn't help but allow a faint smile to come to his face. He waited until the man's attack was just centimeters away from him before letting out a massive blast of sound, sending him flying backwards, and sending a massive wave of force at the man at point blank range. Cassius hit the ground on his back, quickly flipping backwards and landing on his feet. He held his sword in a ready position, one arm behind his back, and said, "You are deranged, and your insanity is going to cause trouble, both for you and for society. You are the reason the faunus are so discriminated against, your destruction causes people to fear the faunus,instead of respect them as you would want them to."

Just as he finished talking, a deep rumbling began beneath their feet. Cassius frowned, taking a few steps back before the ground erupted in front of him. A massive explosion burst from the earth, catching both combatants in its blast. Cassius sailed backward, curling into a ball before he smashed into the wall of the quarry. Luckily, his aura protected him enough so he escaped with only minor injuries as he slid to the ground, My counterattack must have destabilized the Dust underground. He thought, picking himself up off the ground.

Minos was thrown a few feet away but managed to come out unscathed due to his armor. Damn that was loud. Now, this makes things way more interesting. Minos gets up with a little resistance due to the uneven ground but regardless still laughs as if the attack did nothing at all. "Now, puny human. Are you ready to feel real pain?" Minos said, the hostility clearly emanating through his sudden flare of aura. Now that there was some distance between them again, Minos started off his charge once more causing any debris in the way to be flung through the distance and the ground to level as he ran, quickly approaching his target who just seemed to regain his footing. Even with the exploding bits of ground, Minos continued his charge, brushing it off as if it were nothing at all.
