Indigo's feet touch a marbled floor of a ballroom. The ballroom looks dilapidated, with cracked tiles on the floor, the draperies torn and dust ridden, the wallpaper peeling off the walls. And a piano missing keys and looks partially destroyed. Sitting at the piano is Ragnarok, his black labcoat torn to shreds, his glasses cracked, his black hair now gray, his red eyes now faded to just red iris's compared to his red eyes with black irises. He tries to play the piano but hits random keys, breathing exhaustedly.

"Well... That's new." She stepped forward her feet making no sound as she walked. Where's Shem?

"He's too busy to have both of us here...Someone has to keep his body from evaporating..." Raggy says like he read her mind, not looking up. He stops hitting the broken keys and turns his slightly at Indigo. "I see this is taking effect on you too...the scales..."

"My scales have nothing to do with you." She readies Favonius, only to find that they aren't there. "Shem's never degenerated this fast. What are you doing to him?"

"Im not doing anything to him,...please...no hostilies..." He stands up, and using the piano as a crutch to hold himself up to, he turns around and shows Indigo his own bad condition. "I tried to hold back his degeneration....but day after day after day, I was activated. It just builded up...then I left to go into your mind...and i lost control of it. Its catching up for lost time, Indigo." He walks right up to her and puts his hand on hers. "Ive been in your head, I know how you feel about Shem. And I know you hate me. But do this for him. Please. I dont know if what I saw in your mind about him and you were true but...You have the ability to help me...help him, so those mental visions I saw when I was in you were true or not would come true." He looks down to her scales. "And me and Shem will do all we can to help you..." For once, Ragnarok smiles...

Indigo tensed. Her scales cover her cheeks "I know you're causing his degeneration! You said it yourself!" She pushes his hand away. "What are you playing at?"

Ragnarok jumps back, almost falling over due to his weakness. "I did, but I'm also preventing it." He composes himself. "Indigo, Its like dying. You know you going to have to sooner or later but you want to stay alive as long as you can. Its the same. Shem and I will degenerate but I want to stay alive." A single tear comes from his eye. "Shem cares for you, and well.. I do too. We want to stay alive to see things through. We have things that have to be done before we go. Indigo, I'm not playing games anymore! We need you. Shem needs you more than you think! He liked you when he first met you, he was confused between you and Kyri, but got shot down by her. He knows of your abilities, as do I." Raggy gets on his hands and knees. "I beg of you, Ms. Evans...We need you....Shem needs someone like you...and we will help you in return...even if we die trying....we dont want to go like this....please."

Taken aback by his sudden display of emotion, Indigo says "Well look at that, you're not all bad after all." Her expression softens. After a moment she sighs "Fine. But I'm doing this for Shem, not you. What do you need me to do?" The scales begin to cover her forehead.

Ragnarok stands up, sniffing and wiping his eyes. "First of all, this is from Shem." He shuffles weakly up to Indigo and kisses her cheek and backs up. "Ok, heres what you do. We need to repair the damages to me. I just need to get the strength again, and when I do, I can reverse the process as much as I can. Some of his aura is beyond repair though..." Raggy looks around the ballroom. "We need your aura to help heal me. You know how to do that?"

The small part of Indigo's face that wasn't scaly blushed. "For what it's worth, this is all fascinating." The looked about the decrepit room. "There's only one problem; I have no idea how to do that."

Ragnarok laughed, "Shem wanted to do that a long time. No courage that boy." He looks around the room again. "I have an idea...see the being in front of me is your aura form...so technically we are the auras of the 2 people sitting in the dorms with freaky glowing eyes...so all I need for you to do is trust me...just once. Do this for Shem." He nudges Indigo. "Like I said, I've been in your head." He walks to the center of the ballroom and snaps his fingers. Ballroom music begins to play and he holds out his hand for Indigo to grab on to.

Indigo's brow furrowed. "What, you want to dance?" She stepped to the middle of the room, The last of her face is enveloped in the purple scales. "How do you know how to do this anyway?"

"Im a self aware Aura, Indigo, I tend to know things that Shem doesnt." He lightly grabs her hand and holds her waist with the other. "Does Indigo's aura know how to dance?" He begins to move to the tune of the song, slowly swaying back and forth and spinning. "Just focus on repairing Shem." He closes his eyes as he begins to glow red.

Indigo tenses slightly, but decides to go along with it. "I remember what happened the last time I trusted you." she whispers as she closes her eyes. As she moves along to the music from nowhere, her feet sliding across the marble floor, her body begins to glow purple.

As the 2 dance, their glowing grows brighter and brighter. Every ray of light that emanated from them and touched a part of the room, the room seems to repair itself. At the end of the song the room is a freshly polished dance floor. With gorgeous red curtains, black and white tiles floors, a large grand piano in one end of the floor. Clapping is heard at the end of room. Its Ragnarok that looks back to normal.

"Beautiful dance you two. Its like you were made for each other." Ragnarok says with a scheming smile.

While they were dancing and Shem was repaired, Ragnarok replaced himself with Shem's conciousness.

"Um.....hey..." Shem blushed super red as he tried to continue dancing with Indigo.

"I guess that means it worked." If Indigo had any human skin left, she would have blushed. Instead she Looked downward slightly, avoiding his gaze. "At least you look better. How do you feel?"

Shem looks down at Indigo. "I feel better now...thanks to you..."

"AND ME!" Ragnarok yells from across the room.

"..and him." His face changes to concern. "Indigo...what's happening to you?" He puts his hand under her chin lifting her face up to him as he eyed the scales.

"I really wish I could tell you. Honestly, if I knew, I'd tell you." She pauses for a moment, breaking her step in the dance. Suddenly, she drops her head to Shem's chest and wraps her arms around his neck. "Don't you ever scare me like that again, okay?" Tears welled up in her eyes.

Shem puts his hands on her waist as they gently swayed back and forth. "I'll be fine now...As long as you're here...with me." He kisses the top of her head as they danced.

Ragnarok smiles at the couple dancing and sits at the piano. With a snap he turns off the ball room music and begins to play the piano.

Indigo smiles and sways with Shem to the music. She hated to break the moment but things had to be done outside "We can't stay here forever you know, as nice as this is." She reluctantly pulled away from Shem, her hands in his. "Before I go, I still owe you one thing..." Indigo stood on her toes, grabbed the back of Shem's head and pulled him down to her lips. "That's for not dying..." She whispered before fading away, leaving his aura.

((Now outside))

Shem's eyes return to normal. His degeneration is gone and is back to normal. He looks at Indigo and smiles at her.

Indigo awakes with a start, knocking her head against Shem's. "Ow."

Shem's head gets knocked back into the wall with a thud. "Ow...well....good morning to you too Indigo." He's still blushing from what happened in the aura. Rubbing the back of his head and still blushing, he looks at Indigo in the eyes. "You ok?"

Indigo sits back, rubbing her scaly forehead. Her eyes widen. "Oh crap! No, please! I'm still all scaly!" a hopeless look cast itself across her face.

He leans in and kisses her scaley cheek. "I think your beautiful, scaley or not" he whispers as he stands up.

Of course they are not alone. And Shem's movement is just about enough to break Drake's catatonic state and to stir a very feral sounding growl, followed moment later by an equally awkward cough. At the moment his mind is torn between embarrassment at his inability to act, jealousy of Shem's seeming position with Indigo and anger at his current seeming position.

He sighs, slumping down and turns away for the moment. Leave them their peace. Kill him. Assert dominance. Frenzy. Leave them their peace. He would understand one way or another. There was some sort of connection. He shakes his head and stands, quickly. Kill him. He couldn't stay here.

He moves, quickly, still in a state of pseudo-Frenzy and leaves the room. He didn't need this. Indigo confused him enough. He didn't need this. But on leaving the room there is a motion. Almost too quick. A frustrated motion as Drake barely keeps his temper in check. How dare she do this to him? How dare he do this to him?

He leaves the room, abandoning the scarf and cloak to Indigo. But Mao's wall near the doorframe now bears very deep scars....almost as though made by the Talons themselves.

Were Snake to look she would see that bladed 'draconic' aura flaring up again. He needed to go. He needed to find somewhere to be. He needed to find some place to let the pain out.

Mao leaned against the wall as Drake got up and left the room. He got a good sense as to what Drake's problem was seeing as his aura seemed to be flaring up again. Well, there's nothing I can do about it. As long as he doesn't do any serious damage to anything, it should be fine. Mao waited for Drake to leave before peeking his head into the room and knocking on the door.
