| ((If one of these says (WARNING) it says it for a good reason.))The Sanctum was quiet. All who could sleep slept, and even the great metal giant was still, the glow of his mask not moving.
The visitors to Autunno were sleeping. And they would stay asleep.
As its presence crept through the quiet stone halls, unseen and unheard, the Aura-sensitive among the visitors would feel a sharp tingle. But it would not be enough to wake them.
It ensured that, reaching into their dreams to make the horror it had planned real.
It would not allow them the comfort of awakening until it was done, its power keeping them asleep.
Slowly, it's malevolent presence filled the great hall, and it touched the souls of all within...
The Nightmare, in a literal sense, had begun...===== So many people, already broken.
You lie within these halls, thinking yourselves safe from all but each other, since the Grimm outside cannot reach you.
Francisco Pastor... Or El Taladro Que Perfora El Cielo... You are the mask you wear. You have become the persona, leaving the man behind. The strength you have worked for has become your sole identity. It is integral to your existence. And now... I will take that from you...- El Taladro's Nightmare:
He laid in bed, the TV hanging on the wall set to some mind-numbing news channel, the perpetual drone of the talking heads accompanying the steady beep of the machines he was hooked up to. On the table to his right lied a glass of water, and a great thirst took hold of him.
But as he reached, a thin, frail arm came into view. His hand shook, and so did the bones and loose skin he saw. He reached for the glass, but taking hold, it slipped from his frail grip. El Taladro was dying, illness robbing him of his strength, and as he felt a tear run down his cheek, something was missing.
Bringing that frail hand up to his face, he felt only skin.
"This is Mr Pastor's room, right?" A nurse outside the hospital room spoke to another, her tone hushed but El Taladro hearing every word.
"Yes, but he prefers to be called something silly. He used to be one of those clownish masked wrestlers, some Los Toledo or something..." An older, fatter nurse replied, disdain in her voice.
"... If he's a lucha, where's his mask?" The younger nurse peeked inside, trying to hide a smile as she looked at the emaciated form of the former giant.
"... If he asks, tell him we lost it." The fat nurse's tone became conspiratorial, taking a place next to her coworker. She whispered, thinking the news and machinery would mask her speech, but every word met El Taladro's ears. "Truth is? I threw that ratty old thing out... He won't be using it again." Clearing her throat loudly, the fat nurse came in, making a show of checking the charts before reaching up to the TV. "Getting tired of the news, Los Toledo?"
El Taladro would not find the strength even to talk, only to look at her helplessly as she changed the channel.
"AND LOS TIBURON SOAAAAAAAAAARS!!"
As the nurse left, the steady drone of the news was replaced by cheers and slams, and the talking heads by the world he had known before coming to Beacon. Luchadores fighting to the adulation of the crowd, their strength and quickness something El Taladro would never again grasp.
He would never be a luchador again... Suffer, knowing the weakness you think yourself above, and know that I will reduce you to this state...
The insane have no place in a proper world, and you, Melissa Stern, are insane. You deny this fact. You try to act normally, because you don't want to be thrown away like all broken things. You hide your defect, because you know that you can be replaced. So I will replace you...- Melissa's Nightmare:
She couldn't move her arms. The room was dark, only the barest light trickling in through the barred opening in the door. Something was tightly wrapped around her, and no matter how she struggled it would not come off.
It was a straight jacket. She was being restrained to keep from hurting herself. She could hear voices outside, one of them familiar.
"Uncurable?" Aoife said, sighing. "I could have told you that."
Through the barred opening, Melissa could see Aoife walk by, another girl with brown hair following her. A replacement.
She had been locked away for being crazy, and she would never be let out, so everyone was moving on without her... You aren't needed. You aren't even wanted. People only keep you around because you have not yet driven them away with your irrationality. But you will know the loneliness that you bring upon yourself...
Mutt. Freak. Such are honest terms to describe you, Yin Tsuyoi. Only your parents, whose impure coupling created you, could love a creature like you. But we know what happened to them... don't we?- Yin's Nightmare (WARNING):
The Deathstalker walked forward slowly, as Yin was forced to watch. His mother stood helplessly as that stinger drove forward, her face distorting in pain as she looked at him, her mouth moving but no words coming out. She barely shuddered as the stinger withdrew, blood pouring from the wound, and twitched as she was pierced again. Over, and over it repeated, while Yin's father stood nearby.
When there was nothing left of Yin's mother's torso but a ragged series of holes that looked like raw hamburger, the Deathstalker turned, and repeated the process. Like his mother, Yin's father's mouth moved, but no words could be heard. Again, and again, the stinger fell, tearing open his abdomen. Yin could only watch as his entrails spilled forth, and his father slumped to the ground.
He couldn't move, he could only watch as the Deathstalker turned to him. He could see his parents' mouths still moving, but as the Deathstalker came close, he could begin to make out their words.
"Mutt. Freak. Keeb. Mutt. Freak. Keeb."
Searing pain shot through his body as the scorpion's stinger descended, and Yin suffered in silence amidst the chant as the tip dug around in his stomach. You are alone. Everyone who loves you is gone from your life here, and you make new enemies every day. Pray for the death that I will bring you.
Nigrum Pardum. You stand between sides, unable to commit. You will one day become an enemy to all, as everyone sees your two-faced nature. When you die within these walls, everyone around you will think it a relief...- Nigrum's Nightmare:
The blows came down one after another upon him as the people he had worked with took out their frustration on the young man who had curled into a ball between them. A sick crack filled the air, and Nigrum couldn't help but cry out when his arm broke under the force of an impact.
For what seemed like hours the beating progressed, until he was bloody and blue, barely able to resist as he was rolled over, and he saw the tip of The Panther. He could see the glint of the spike for just a moment, before it was driven down through his stomach and into the ground, agony wracking his body as everyone left him there, pinned to the ground and beaten half to death.
He could only turn his head when he heard a growl, to see the Ursa approaching to feed on the meal it was offered... You have no loyalties, and no one is loyal to you as a result. Trust is the only way you will survive here, and you will find none. Learn to enjoy this feeling of being eaten. I see an Ursa in your future...
"Monochrome Flash of the Waning Equinox" is the worst name for a horse ever. You have cheapened the life of this creature that you profess love for with that name, Aphelion Messier. I will redeem you both...- Aphelion's Nightmare (WARNING):
Aphelion's hands hurt terribly, pinned to the wall as they were by spikes through his palms. His aura didn't respond, the divine having turned from him as the masked men dragged Equinox toward him with the chains around his neck and legs. The horse looked up, terror in his eyes that accompanied a whinny of pain when a knife sank into his flank. No matter how he kicked or struggled, Equinox could not escape and the men avoided him. As the horse weakened, one man poured something over his back, and it seemed to sting Equinox terribly as it mixed with his blood and got into his wounds.
Aphelion knew this smell. It was gas.
He could only cry out as a burning rag was thrown, and Equinox burned before his eyes, the smell of burning hair and flesh assaulting his nostrils as his closest friend's struggles slowly ceased. When Equinox's lifeless corpse stopped burning, it wasn't over, as one of the men cut into the corpse, producing a thin slice of meat.
Aphelion couldn't resist. He couldn't fight back or flee as the man took hold of his chin, forced the meat inside, and made him chew it, opening his mouth and pushing the meat to the back of his throat before something forced him to swallow. He had barely a second to think before another man came with another slice.
It seemed it would continue until the horse was gone, and there was ever so much meat on Equinox... Enjoy this feeling of loss. Even if you find companionship within these halls, someone who does not hate you, you will watch them die the same way...
Murderer. That's something none of them know the details about, isn't it Viola Aria? You aren't afraid to die. You have no problems killing. You don't even have anyone you particularly care about. The only person you can even call a friend now is this girl you've only just met. How long, before you turn her away too, and she leaves you like your adoptive parents, or your employer takes her to get at you?- Viola's Nightmare (WARNING):
The house burned around her, Viola's adoptive father staring at her with a look of disappointment. "Did I raise you so wrong?" The flames licked at his body, but he didn't flinch. "I tried to raise you right, and you become... this?"
Behind her, Chiu screamed, but when Viola turned around, she could only see her adopted father, still wreathed in the flames that crept up his legs.
"You killed me, Viola. That was an accident. But did you decide you liked it then? Is that why you did all these horrible things? Is that why you took these jobs from them?" The smell of burnt flesh started to assail Viola's nose as flames engulfed her childhood home, and began to eat away at her father's face. "You've made a lot of mistakes, Viola. But I can't forgive you for all of them. Why did you have to take this last job? Why didn't you stop a long time ago, so you could still be the daughter I used to love?"
Chiu cried out again, a sickening crunch splitting the air. Viola could smell blood, and hear Chiu's whimpering, but again when she turned, she saw her father burning. But she saw Chiu, held by her throat by Leonius, her right arm flopping loosely. She struggled limply, barely able to resist as the giant took hold of her shattered right arm with his left, whimpering at the pain, only to cry out again as he tore it off.
"She tried to protect you. She was the only one who cared enough, but you will never keep someone you care about. You were right..." As her father's knees buckled, and the burning skeleton began slumping to the floor, he shook his head. "You cannot beat him."
Viola watched helplessly as Leonius tore Chiu limb from limb. She hung limply, near death, as he grabbed her head in one hand and crushed it, before turning to Viola. That visor locked on her eyes, and for a split second, she was behind the academy again, and he was inside her. But only for a moment, as he tossed Chiu's body into the flames and began approaching. "Target verified," the staccato voice intoned, "commencing hostilities."
She couldn't get away. She could only gasp for breath as that gauntlet wrapped around her throat, and she heard her father's voice. "Burn like I did, Sweetie."
Leonius slammed her into the burning floor, and she could only cry out as the flames began to take hold on her flesh. Everyone who cares for you dies, or betrays you. So it will be here. You should have broken your neck falling from that Nevermore. It would have been a mercy that you do not deserve.
You are a danger to everyone around you, Aoife Knight. That is why you earned that staple in your spine. You lack control, and those you think of as friends will pay for it. And soon, they will not think of you the same...- Aoife's Nightmare (WARNING):
Melissa giggled as she pushed the button on the remote she held, and Aoife fell. The back of her neck hurt, as did her face when she hit the floor.
She could feel her aura growing hot in indignant rage, only to have another jolt from the staple stop it. It was controlling her aura!? She took a deep breath, and slowly got up. Not of her own volition, either, turning her head to see Arthur with a remote control. Her eyes went wide as he fiddled with it, and her hands went to the top of her dress, and she yanked it down. "Yeah, I can see why you burnt your family to death when they made fun of this chest."
"Absolutely nothing~!" Melissa said, skipping around Aoife. "No boobs, no boobs, la la la la la~." Arthur just laughed hysterically, fiddling with the controls again to make Aoife join Melissa's skipping.
'I can't believe we were ever friends with this @%#$," Arthur said, the harsh language accompanied by a jolt at the back of Aoife's neck.
"We were?" Melissa stopped. "I just thought she was entertaining!"
Apparently deciding they had their fun, Arthur stopped fiddling with the remote, and Aoife fell limp again, the two walking away mocking her.
She couldn't move. Her aura wouldn't work. She could simply lie there, alone with her thoughts, breathing as the world grew dark and cold. Reflect on those around you. Do you think anyone in this Keep with you will want to protect you from the Grimm if that staple in your neck activates? No, even Kirkka, your greatest advocate, threatened the same... You have no allies here, Aoife. No friends.
Little One. Small, and weak. It annoyed you, because he is right, isn't he, Isabelle Kyoto? Twice now, you have faced the Grimm, and your performance was pathetic. It was only by the luck that real fighters were present that you escaped that first fight with a mortal wound, and sheer luck in having that hat the second was merely humiliating. You should have bled to death in the forest, Little One. It would have saved you from a third where you are not so lucky...- Isabelle's Nightmare (WARNING):
She cried out as a claw caught her knee, the Scorpions flying from her grasp as the pack of Beowolves closed in on her. Isabelle barely reached for one of them when a Beowolf knocked her over onto her back, and brought its claw down.
As it pierced her thigh, they all closed in. It was like the forest outside Autunno, but instead of tongues, teeth filled her vision. She could only scream as a set of fangs sank into her arm, feeling the flesh being torn from her bone and the warm flow of her blood leaving. Again with her shoulder, her shin, her thigh.
Isabelle was alive and aware as her struggles ceased, pain wracking her mind. She was being eaten alive. She felt a tearing pain in her stomach, and saw a Beowolf's mouth trailing intestines as it yanked upward.
Slowly, her screams turned to whimpers, until she couldn't even manage the energy for that. As she felt incredibly cold, and the world started to fade, she found herself standing again. Alert. Aware. Whole.
And surrounded by Beowolves, intent on repeating the process as she felt claws on her leg, and the Scorpions flew from her hand... You overreach, little kitten. You come to human lands as a freak. You grow angry at being seen naked, but what do you have to be seen? You do not belong here, but you will die here nonetheless...
Chiu Fong Wong. Forever in the shadows of your older brother. You will never be as strong. Never as skilled. You are a pale imitation in all respects, and you know it. But knowing, in another sense, is precisely the issue, isn't it? ... You don't want to be your brother... You don't want to be like your brother... You want your brother...- Chiu's Dream (!!WARNING!!):
Chiu knew this forest. This was where her brother had died.
She felt Ce's hands on her shoulders, and he poked his head around to look at her. "... You watched something dirty, didn't you, Xiao He?" Ce turned her around, frowning. "When you saw those people having sex in that movie, you thought about someone... didn't you?"
She couldn't respond. Only stare at him. He was older, larger, as if he hadn't died and continued aging along with her.
"It isn't enough that you stood by and let me die, you have to lust after me even in death, don't you, Xiao He? Because when you watched those people #@$%ing..." He grabbed her arm, a hand on her thigh. "... You imagined it was you and I... Don't lie. I know you..."
Ce came uncomfortably close, sniffing Chiu.
"... Did you know that day when you let me die... I was going to do just that? I love you, and not as a brother should..." His hand on her arm slid upward. "I wonder if you knew how I felt. If you let me die in this forest, because you were scared. Because you didn't want this."
Ce was always faster. He was always more skilled. He was always better.
Therefore, when his hand flashed forth, and he grabbed Chiu's shirt and tore it open, she knew her fate. "This time, I'm not going to give you a chance to avoid it," he said lustily, pushing her down and following... You were always behind Ce. Always in his shadow. And growing up, you would have been under him. But Ce isn't here to save you now, and not even your new friend will want to protect someone who lusts after her own brother... You are right. You deserve to die. Find the Ursa, and do the right thing.
You have many secrets, Kirkka Scarlet. How many of these students think you the mere groundskeeper? How many know of your team, of their agenda, or your secret ties? No, you have a history, don't you? And with that history, comes many enemies, of you and your team. Can you truly say you are any better than Aoife Knight... or the heir to your enemy's ruling class you pretend to play nice with?- Kirkka's Nightmare (!!WARNING!!):
Nathan looked down at Kirkka, his arms spread wide by the nails through his palms. She looked around, seeing the others' charred corpses with arms similarly spread, and the circle of men in familiar armor. Very familiar armor.
Oh no. These are Pilorum. Triarii. The heavy infantry of Pilum had her surrounded, and her team in crucifixion. In a panic, Kirkka looked back up at Nathan.
"Kirkka," he wheezed, having trouble breathing. "Please..."
She was confused. She was scared. And the back of her neck... A nerve staple!? Fear was replaced by panic, moreso when the Triarii saluted someone behind her.
"Ah... Team KYNS..." When she heard his voice, she was momentarily back in that enormous facility, looking upon the enormous construct the Pilorum were building. The last time they had met did not... go well.
"Frumentarius," One of the Triarri said, looking at Nathan. "Two remain."
"Please," Nathan said, his voice strained. "Don't do... this..."
"One," the man behind her said, and Kirkka shivered as she felt hands on her waist through her dress. She saw Nathan cringe, and a tear run down his cheek. "She's one of us now... A defector from Vale's decadence... Aren't you, Kirkka?"
"... Yes," was all she could say, her voice shaking like her body. She was afraid. She hated herself. And looking back at her teammates, she realized why.
"Yes... what?" The man with the callsign of Reaper slid his hands down her sides to her hips, and she felt sick.
She knew the answer. She knew enough Pilorum custom to know what she had missed, and what the staple in the back of her neck reinforced. "... Yes... Dominus..." She saw Nathan close his eyes and clench his teeth, and she clenched her own fist, finding her staff in her hand when she hadn't noticed it before as she started to cry.
"Good girl..." The man's hands had found their way under her dress, and he touched her thighs. "... Now finish him..."
Kirkka took a deep breath that she almost choked on, looking up through blurry eyes. "... Forgive me," she whispered as she set Nathan on fire, listening to his weak cries of pain as Reaper pulled her close.
"... You belong to us, now," he hissed, as the former Beacon student watched her last surviving teammate slowly stop thrashing, and the fires fade. "... Welcome to Pilum, Kirkka Horti Rufa." At the sound of the Pilumization of her name, Kirkka finally sank to her knees, her aura slowly fading as the gravity of what had happened crushed her. You have already lost your soul. It is just a matter of extent. You share the fate of these students, and yet you wish you were not here to aid them. You would abandon them to their fate, and you cannot even use nationality to justify it as with Leonius. You deserve to die, if just to deny you the opportunity to ruin things again. After all... it is your fault that I am now awake...
The last does not sleep. But it is no matter. Leonius Decimi Regulus, scion of one of Pilum's houses and natural enemy to Kirkka Scarlet. I do not need to reach into your non-existent dreams to torment you. I need only appeal to your fading humanity. I need only compare you to Marcus Decimi Regulus, and use your father to-No.- Interference:
It recoiled back as it felt another presence. Incredibly distant, but immense, it seemed lethargic and uncoordinated, but so had it when Kirkka first touched the dagger. This was something just barely awake.
The new presence didn't seem to mind its state, however. On a level those within the room, asleep or weak of aura as they were, were barely cognizant of, the other presence took form, a woman of regal bearing clad in robes made of tattered stripes of fine silk. It, however, did not, its presence too diffuse, its makeup too disparate. The other didn't seem to mind.
"You tempt my awakening again. I would applaud your audacity were I not left without breath within chest by your foolishness."
It regarded the newcomer nonchalantly. "This is our first meet-"
The newcomer's voice boomed, within that hidden place. "SPEAK TRUTH OR STILL #@%&ING TONGUE." The woman crossed her arms. "I am more ancient than you by a century or more. Do not pretend I know not what game you play at. I will make clear my position once more. The price of bringing up my Dominus or myself in a negative light to his heir is thus: I will awaken, and I will consume your @$%&ing soul." The woman's voice held little malice, but her tone was cold and merciless.
"You wish to protect the machine?"
"... No. But you will not sully name of those who I serve without my wrath. I invite, in fact, attempts to break him." The woman looked "down" at Leonius, remembering a child whose relatively tiny fingers had traced out the words 'Sum Sine Sceleri' engraved upon a familiar sword's hilt so many years ago. A sad smile spread across her face. "As he stands now, I am unsure he can inherit me. As I said last time we had this conversation..."
"You are the collector of broken things. I'll not do your bidding."
"No. You will do as you please. And the fruits of your labor will end up within my scenario, or you will cross the lines I set previously and I will awaken more fully to destroy you." The woman yawned, turning. "Another warning. I have already forewarned another whose soul bears my mark. I am aware of what you plan, that your efforts reach fruition. I intend to pluck from your hand that fruit."
The woman said nothing more, her representation vanishing as the presence behind it drifted again into slumber. It said nothing more.
=====
Its presence slowly faded from the Great Hall, its hold on its occupants fading with it, allowing them to awaken.
Patience. It had all the time in the world.
Somewhere in the Keep, far from Kirkka's bag where it had rested before, the Crimson Dagger pulsed, and it watched the waking students carefully.
=====
And the game begins anew...

| - If you skipped Chiu's dream skip this too:
At first she fought back. Punching, kicking, spitting, biting. It was all useless he was too big, too powerful, too strong. She screamed when it happened. Still she fought back, her small hands pushing against him. Somewhere deep inside her mind she knew the voice was right, after all these years, this was what she wanted, what she needed. After a while she stopped fighting and started smiling.

| Kirkka's eyes open slowly, and she blinks once or twice. Her breathing is shallow. Mind racing, recalling events... that just happened? Everyone is dead. Nightmare. I killed them. I betrayed them... betrayed myself... everyone... Nightmare. A nightmare? No, those were memories. Too real to be a dream. But... then where am I... She glances around the room, looking at the various others still asleep. Nightmare. ... yes. It was a dream. I am here, at Autunno Keep on a trip. Nate and the others are back in Vale, safe. Her eyes close and she rubs them, clearing her darkened vision.
She takes several deep breaths to calm herself down, rubbing her head afterward. A headache after such a dream... what a terrible trip this has turned out to be... Dagger. Her eyes widen as she instantly checks her bag, still strapped around her. It's missing. She closes her eyes, concentrating for a few moments. It's... not here. It is, but I can't tell exactly where. This is great. A hundred thousand Grimm in the area and the dagger is lost. I should have left when I had the chance...
Her eyes open after another moment, as she observes the others once again. Everyone here will have to work together. That should be easy... heh. Easy. At least they're all pretty strong. Leaning back, she closes her eyes once more, milling over her thoughts about how the day will go, and her dream.

| As the nightmare starts to fade, the aura around Aoife would start brightening. The second she was free from it, she would shoot up as the foreshadowed burst of flames compasses her, quickly going back down as Aoife rather frantically pats herself down to make sure she is still wearing her clothing. Head between her raised knees, she would put her hand where the pain had been, hidden tears being shed onto her cloak and the aura going down to a level barely visible but still emitting a large amount of heat, the area around her increasing in temperature by a few degrees. | |

| Melissa woke from her nightmare rather peacefully, dismissing it mostly as one of her recurring dreams, with her mind merely interpreting it in a different way. Usually it was her parents leaving her in beacon because they couldn't 'fix' her no matter what they did. In actuality they were probably hoping she would be killed by the Grimm to stop her from continuing to be a blight on their family. Or maybe they just wanted to put her somewhere where they could easily forget her.
She was broken out of her ponderings however, as Aoife woke up with a burst of flames, before burying herself in a shell of her clothing. Elsewhere, she saw others waking with at least some sort of similarity to Aoife. Perhaps... Perhaps everyone had eaten some bad food.
"Are you okay?" Melissa asked her with a cheerful smile, now fully awake and having fully dismissed her own nightmare from her mind.

| Not answering, she would tighten the foetal position she was in as her aura evidently prepares as if she was about to fight someone, the formlessness that would normally be there now replaced by faint outlines of flames. Firmly pressed in on herself, the only movement would be the movements of her ribs. | |

| - Aphelion's reaction:
I'm sorry... I'm sorry... I'm sorry... I'm sorry... Aphelion repeated to himself, unable to react in any way to what was going on. Any attempt at speech was met with a chunk of horsemeat, such as that Aphelion couldn't even say a word. Time and time again, he tried to break free of his bindings, he tried to use Aura, but it failed. Powerless, Aphelion was forced to eat his greatest friend...
He tried to deny Equinox's death, but he couldn't. He saw it, it couldn't be denied. As the horsemeat continued to come at Aphelion's tearful face, he caught himself licking his lips. The taste couldn't be denied either...

| Melissa tilted her head, confused by the lack o reaction from Aoife. Did something happen? But what? Were they attacked in her sleep?! Melissa had fallen asleep after Aoife, knowing that no one would actually attack them in their sleep, but maybe something had... Or maybe...
"Did you... Have a nightmare too?" She asked. She could imagine that if she wasn't used to dreams of the caliber she had just have she would probably be reacting in a similar way to Aoife.

| "A-Are you my f-friend?" Would come out in a barely audible voice and rather muffled, the temperature still increasing around her while her head stays buried, not wanting to look at anyone in case they saw her crying. Subconsciously moving one of her arms from out of her position and to her chest, she would barely stop the flames from materialising and attacking Melissa. | |

| Although slightly confused by the question, Melissa replied without hesitation, "What do you mean? Of course I'm your friend!" She said, cheerfulness slightly diminished by the strange question. | |

| Eyes opening wide as she is freed from the very obvious nightmare, Viola visibly shakes where she's laying, unable to move otherwise. What the... I haven't dreamt in years let alone had a nightmare and THAT is what I return to? Maybe it was right though... maybe it is best for me to stay away from Chiu... Or maybe I should just find a way to end my life once and for all.
Glancing around at the rest of the room, she curls up in to a ball inside her sleeping bag, unwanted tears starting to fall from her face.

| Quickly moving beneath her covers, she would shunt her hand out for her bag and swapping her clothing, not saying any reply to Melissa as she gets a quick look at the red marks around Aoifes eyes from trying to wipe them with her knees. | |

| 'Crying? Either the bad food everyone ate had potential side effects that I didn't get, or Aoife had a pretty bad nightmare!' Melissa thought, although she pretended not to notice.
"C'moooon Aoife! I had one too, y'know! Tell me what happened, I'm sure it was just a silly nightmare!" She said, still cheerfully attempting to cheer up the crying girl.

| Ignoring her until she at least had her skirt and chainmail on, she would slowly move the covers off her as she slips the black top over it and starts attaching her shoulder pieces, "I am not talking about it in front of everyone, I don't even want to talk about it in the first place." Afterwards she would mutter a few curses under her breath, her hands already moving for her gauntlets. | |

| Melissa looked around, noticing that most people were still asleep, and the ones that were awake seemed to be keeping quietly to themselves, seemingly relaxing back on their mattresses. Or did they have nightmares as well? Nah, probably not. Everyone was probably just tired after the fighting yesterday.
"Okay, let's find somewhere private then! There's a bunch of empty rooms here. It'll help to get it off your ches- To err, get it out! Or at least that's what they say in books." Melissa said, waiting for Aoife to get dressed completely.

| Nodding, she would lastly place the two pieces of plate armour on the sides of her skirt, put the weapons back in the sheaths and take her cloak up and put it on. Keeping her head rather low in an effort to not let anyone see she had been crying, heading towards one of the rooms at random. | |

| Melissa followed behind Aoife, watching carefully to make sure no one followed them, and once they were both inside she stood at the doorway, hopefully blocking anyone that might try to peek in at what they were going to discuss.
"So.. What happened?" She asked, not really knowing a better way to ask.

| Sighing heavily, she would start to retell the nightmare she suffered from, visibly shaken from it alone, it only compounding as she has to remember it, a small amount of tears restarting afterwards, trying not to look too broken by it. | |

| Surprisingly, instead of having a shocked expression like any sane person might have, Melissa smiled, putting her hand lightly on Aoife's shoulder in a gesture of companionship.
"If you think I have even the slightest chance of doing something like that, you're crazy! Not only do I find the idea of someone controlling another in any way abhorrent and disgusting, I'm your friend! I don't believe you're a dangerous animal that needs to be leashed! If I ever see one of those remotes, I'll smash it without hesitation. I'd rather die than touch something with that kind of use, unless it's to destroy it!" Melissa said, looking Aoife direcly in the eyes with a smile.
"Also I don't skip or giggle that much..." Melissa said, a little frown appearing on her face.

| Aura dissipating into nothingness as Melissa puts her hand on Aoife's shoulder, going to hug her tightly without saying anything, even ignoring the fact of the rather different sizes of them. | |

| Melissa said nothing, simply returning the hug with warmth of her own unrelated to her aura, but the gears of her mind were grinding.
'Can I really comfort her when I can't honestly say I trust her completely...? Can I really say all that? I mean, I would definitely smash an inhuman contraption like that on sight, and I would probably give up my life to save her... Not that my life means much... But even now I can't say I trust her not to betray me eventually... I guess I just can't help wanting to trust..." She shook her head to clear the thoughts, deciding not to bother thinking about it for now, just like she had done before.

| Just hugging her as if she was six and Melissa was her most prized teddy bear, Aoife would be thinking as well, not of her dream but what would of happened if Melissa was not there, Viola's words still ringing in her head as she tightens her side of the hug on her closest friend, if not someone as close to her as family. | |

| 'If only friends like this could last forever...' Melissa frowned, 'But history has taught my otherwise...' She thought, trying more to convince herself than to state facts.
"I think we should get back now, Detective Melissa wants to find out if this nightmare was just us, or everyone. I still think everyone ate some bad food!" She said cheerfully, frown disappearing, although she waited for Aoife to break the hug first.

| Nodding, she would slowly release her, saying in a rather truthful tone, as if she is trying to prove that that she sees her as a friend, "If anyone makes you sad or says you are different in a bad way. Tell me and I will break their legs for you." Though after that she rubs her eyes, nodding once more and heading back to the bedding area. | |

| "I'm just going to see how the others are, see if maybe it was just us that ate the bad food and gave nightmares!" Melissa said, as she began looking to see who else seemed to be awake and potentially might have had a nightmare.
It seemed Ms FAF (Faunus Aren't Fruit) was awake, though from her current angle Melissa couldn't tell what she was doing. Though if she had had a nightmare too, maybe it really was something they all ate, but if not it had probably been coincidence. Maybe that video Aoife and Melissa had been watching.
Approaching Ms FAF, Melissa spoke softly in order to not surprise the girl, "Did you maybe have a nightmare last night, Ms Faunus Aren't Fruit? I think there was something in the food giving people nightmares, me and Aoife both had one!"
