| Jet heads back to his bag and lies down, removing Paladin again and being sure to set his weapon down slowly and gently as to not make much noise | |

| "In hindsight, I really should have brought a sleeping bag..." Samuel thinks to himself, placing his pack on the ground against a wall. "Ahh well, at least it's safe here." he whispered quietly, closing his eyes and drifting to sleep. | |

| Marc steps off the ship with many others, looking around and talking softly to himself. "So this is Beacon?" Of course Marc had seen the school before, but something was different about the fact it was now the place he would become a huntsmen as he always dreamed. "Better than I remember." he chuckles to himself happily, containing his excitement. It would be unlike a proper warrior to get to worked up about these things. | |

| Alani took a deep breath after getting off the massive aircraft. Flying was no problem for her considering how often she travelled between her home and her homeland. Still, this was her first time flying in something other than a commercial airplane. After setting foot on pavement for the first time in a while, she roamed the large campus and tried to get as familiar with it as possible. She had seen big buildings before, but nothing like the academy at the center of her gaze.
Resting on the edge of a nearby pond, Alani looked around some more from her stationary position. Her weapon, the Boom-orange, laid beside her. Had it not been for the number of outrageous weapons the students around her were carrying, the mostly bright orange, 2.5 foot, metal boomerang would have drawn quite a bit of attention.
Considering that she was on the ground with plenty of room, Alani decided to lay down as well. In fact, she may have been a little greedy with how much space she was taking up. Anyone trying to walk by would have to step over either Boom-orange or Alani. Of course, there was also the option of taking a dip for those who lived truly carefree.
Several thoughts filled her mind while the students around her conversed. She wondered what kind of people she'd meet here.

| Marc walked around the campus for awhile, taking in the sights of Beacon. He had already memorized the locations of all the main buildings, but it was nothing compared to really seeing them. After a bit he decided to move to the nearby pond to rest.
Sitting down, Marc pulls Olyndicus from his back, laying the lance in his lap. He takes his cloth from his pocket, cleaning of any spec of dirt or dust. The girl laying nearby hardly phases him, only giving her the occasional glance. Seeing someone who was on the road to become a huntress just lay around like that on the first day at Beacon bothers him, but he decides to keep it to himself.

| Alani heard footsteps nearby, though that was normal with all the people walking around. When she didn't hear the person pass by her, she couldn't help but look up thinking someone had stopped and stared at her for blocking their path. Luckily for her, that wasn't the case. Though, there was someone there. It was a guy with orange hair, like hers, lightly tanned skin, like hers, brown eyes... you get the idea. The two could practically pass as siblings, though Alani knew that wasn't the case. In fact, the thought hadn't really crossed her mind at all.
Rather bored and not wanting to be anti-social, she figured she'd try talking to him. Making allies at this school was probably important. At the very least, it was better than making enemies. "Hey." She hadn't even gotten up to speak, but tried to sound friendly.

| Marc was a bit surprised that the girl had even acknowledged him. Keeping his eyes focused on the lance in his lap, he responds with a simple "Hello". He notes the girls similiar traits to his, not really caring that much as he silent concentrates on Olyndicus. | |

| Alani's eyes were fixed on the boy's weapon. "What's that?" was the icebreaker she chose. Considering that almost everyone's weapon was unique in some way, she figured he wouldn't mind talking about his own. After asking, she finally decided to at least sit up and get a better look. | |

| Marc smiles a bit at the question, lifting his weapon to show it off. "This is Olyndicus", he says proudly, "My weapon." He grins as it changes to it's secondary form, opening up to show the gatling gun inside, the hilt extending and changing. "I made it while at Signal Academy." | |

| Alani chuckled to herself when she heard the weapon's name and tried to figure out how it was spelled. She had to actively try not to joke about how her spelling of the name looked more like it said 'a limp dingo'. While she was only slightly impressed that he too had created his own weapon, she became a little more curious about this other academy he mentioned. "Signal? Never heard of it. Is it good?" Now that she was speaking more, her accent was much more obvious.

| Marc noted the accent, but didn't want to say anything, knowing it would be rude. "It's pretty good. Everyone who goes there is required to create there own weapon. Not all of them come out as great as Olyndicus." Letting it close back, Marc sets the weapon back down in his lap. Â | |

| "Neat." Alani was already smiling a little, but smiled more at his somewhat pretentious comment. After hearing the boy go on about his weapon again, she decided to bring his attention to Boom-orange. "What do you think of mine?" The metal surface was masked by a matte finish, but its colors still shone brightly. Primarily orange with thin brown stripes and green tips it practically looked like just another toy boomerang, despite its size. | |

| Looking the weapon over, Marc tilts his head and raises an eyebrow. "Blunt, light, ranged, simple... seems good enough. Anything special about it?" he asks her with interest. | |

| "I'm glad you asked!" Alani fiddles with her weapon a bit before she unlocks the inner chamber, revealing some mechanical parts along with what appear to be... tiny oranges? "I built a firing mechanism inside that lets me shoot these little mini-bombs. They might look small, but they sure do pack a punch!" It seemed she had already loaded her weapon prior to her arrival at the academy in an attempt to be prepared. She didn't really know what to expect, so it didn't hurt to plan ahead, at least this time. | |

| Marc nods as he looks at them. "What are they made with? Dust?" he asks curiously, finding the 'boom-orange' interesting. | |

| Alani was a little surprised by the boy's accurate guess. "A little dust mixed with some other explosives for good measure." She didn't admit it, but she'd make them purely of dust if she could. Her method was just more cost efficient. Closing up the compartment once more, she went on. "My Boom-orange can hold about 40 of these bad boys. Pretty sweet, huh?" | |

| Marc wanted to guess why they weren't purely dust, but then again, not everyone had their inheritance to spend on as much of the stuff as they needed. "Defiantly, very effective if I had to guess." he nods. Having come to Beacon with enough dust to last more then the year for the amount he used, might as well assist someone else in the same training as him. She seemed competent enough. "If you run out of dust feel free to let me know. I have more of the stuff then I know what to do with." | |

| "Really?" Alani couldn't contain her excitement. "That's great! Thanks!" There went one of her worries out the window. "So, what's your name?" She figured knowing who he was might help in case she ever needed to look for him. Besides that, she was simply curious. | |

| Marc laughs softly to himself. "How rude of me. I am Marc, Marc Treasa. A pleasure to meet you." he says kindly to make up for the mistake of not introducing himself. | |

| "Alani Fields." She extends an arm out for a handshake. In her mind, it was a symbol to solidify their newfound friendship. She may not have known Marc very well yet, but it was a start. He seemed rather nice and polite, though anyone could pull that off on first meeting. Alani figured she should devote some time to actually getting to know Marc, if time allowed that is. | |

| Reaching out, Marc gently shakes her hand. He hadn't come to Beacon to make friends, but an ally never hurt anyone. We may even be put into the same team. he shrugged, deciding he wouldn't really mind, as long as she could fight. | |

| Alani shook Marc's hand with a rather firm grip for a lady. Though, calling her a lady wasn't quite right. Sure she was a girl, but ladylike... not so much. That was obvious by the way she dressed and carried herself so casually. Catching what he said, Alani grew curious. "Same team?" | |

| Marc nods at her, not minding the firm grip. It was good for a huntress in training to be strong. [b] "Yeah. You don't know about the teams?" | |

| Alani stands up, picking up Boom-orange as well and holding it by her side. She thought about going along with it and pretending that she knew exactly what Marc was talking about, but she didn't. The last thing she wanted to do was put herself in a situation that would make a fool out of her. "Nope. No one told me about any teams." | |

| Marc shrugs, watching her as he stays seated. "Well, at one points we will get teams. But no one is really sure how it will work." | |

| "That's because it changes each year." Said a new voice.
The owner of said voice walked up to the two, "Sorry, didn't mean to eavesdrop, but I couldn't help but overhear."

| "Who are you?" Alani briskly asked, suddenly turning towards the stranger. Subconsciously, her grip on Boom-orange got a little tighter. | |
