Blood for blood

The order for retreat came as soon as the White Fangs realized that their weapons had been ineffective in stopping the walker. They tramped over the fallen bodies of the apparent martyrs. Barricading the doors and fortifying the inside of the base, taking shelter in the places the towering mech couldn't fit.

Hira glances into the back of the walker, eyeing the suit of emergency power armor situated there. Shaking her head she activates the scanner on the mech's visual systems, stalking through the main tunnel until she's near where she suspects Jacob is. Pulling back the fist of the walker, she jams the control grip forward, sending the chainblade cutting through a bulkhead.

Sparks showered the White Fang heavies, the silver gleam of their armour reflecting the amber gleam.
"Ensure that thing doesn't reach the prisoner. For the Fang Brothers!" the sergeant bellowed. The men pounded their fists against their chests and barked in response. Each gripped a large broadsword, the blade shimmering with an icy mist as they charged their weapons.

The walker kicks in the bulkhead, the metal screeching in protest as it gives way. Once more activating the external speakers, the battlecry thunders through the halls. "I... AM STEEL! I... AM DOOM! I MARCH FROM THE BEACON! AND I SHALL KNOW NO FEAR!"

The heavies readied their weapons, taking a few steps back to ensure they were out of the robot's reach.

Hira stands up from the command chair and slips around it, the power armor's underlayer dimly visible under her normal clothing. She shrugs off her standard clothes and grabs the front of the chestplate, pulling it off with a hiss. She presses her back to the backplate and secures the front, pulling it away from the wall with a dull clunk. In a few minutes she has the rest of the armor on, pulling the black visored helmet over her head. She picks up a chainsword from the corner and kicks the door release. The front of the mech folds outwards and she jumps out, landing on the concrete with a heavy thud, the air glimmering around her as the shielding system powers up slowly.

"CHARGE!" the heavies thundered forwards, the weight of their armour shattering the ground at their feet as they broke out into a thunderous run, servos screaming to compensate for the weight. The first man swung his flaming blade towards Hira's head.

Hira immediately ducked and kicked up on the blade, breaking it in two. Her eyes widen under the black visor. The power behind this thing! She thinks as she pulls the trigger on the chainsword and it roars to life. With a flourish she pulls the blade up the Sergeant's ribcage.

Blood sprayed into the air as the sword cleaved through the man's chest, the other four heavies taking up more defensive stances in order to repel the invader.

"Let me pass." Hira says, brandishing the chainsword.

"His imprisonment is for the good of our kind sister, surely you can understand" the warrior with the broken blade discarded the hilt and unsheathed a serrated combat knife.

Narrowing her eyes under the armor she takes a threatening step forward. "He is also my mate you half-blood."

"Then we must slay you for the cause" the speaker lunged forwards, thrusting with his blade, the dust intake intensifying, bathing the weapon in a hurricane of fire.

Hira brings the blade up in a block, before deflecting the blade and bringing it down in a chop.

The man twisted to try and avoid the attack, but the blade still found its way into his shoulder, cleaving through the bone and sinew with little trouble. One of the other appointed 'guards' lunged forwards, trying to batter Hira aside using his dense shoulder pad.

Thrusting her fist out, she drives the heavy plated knuckles of the power armor into his side.

With a pained grunt the man was stopped in his tracks, but quickly bringing his blade to bear, making a swipe for the girl's exposed arm.

Quickly retracting her arm Hira throws a roundhouse kick, using the momentum to bring the blade to bear as well.

The resounding clang from the metal on metal contact sent the man reeling, partially stunned and unable to defend against Hira's attack. Two dead or bleeding out, two remained. With a subtle nod, the two men swung their blades simultaneously, one high, one low. The hope was that at least one would hit, though the attack was no less clumsy than those of their companions. These men were not used to the armour they wore.

Stomping on the bottom blade, Hira propels herself backwards about ten feet. "WITCHFIRE!" She yells as a blazing line of flame crosses the hallway as if a giant circle was carved.

The flames licked the armour of the two guards, the heat seeming not to bother them, they stomped forwards, twirling their blades and chuckling to themselves, as if party to some joke Hira wasn't aware of.

Spinning up the chainblade once more, Hira roars a challenge, digging her armored boots into the concrete floor. Taking the chainsword in a two-handed grip Hira launches herself at the two armored White Fang in a Last Resort attack. When approaching she presses a button on the handle, the blade of the sword extending another two feet. Once she gets close enough the dragoness puts all her weight behind the swing, swinging the blade hard enough to displace her own weight.

OOC: Think like the Kishin Hunter maneuver from Soul Eater. The weight and size of the weapon makes it so you have to use your own body as a counter-weight.

Both men raised their swords as if to block the attack. Both blades shattered as Hira's attack hit. The two stood there for a few motents, motionless. Then a gush of blood exploded from their necks. Their limp bodies collapsed with a loud clank, the plates of their armour turning red as the blood stained them.

The blade retracts and Hira tiredly limps over towards the mech, passing right through the fire. Chucking the chainsword back in Hira steps in and proceeds to drop the armor off the undersuit, the heavy plates falling to the floor of the mech with a dull thud. When out of the armor she unholsters a small handgun out of the side of the seat and steps out of the mech, watching as the flame burns down. "Overmind this is Poinsettia. The road is cleared, send in Hurricane." She grumbles into a comm headset as she presses up against the wall and stalks along it.

Something was amiss. Jacob could tell that there was something going on, beyond his vision. His eyes closed and he began to sniff at the air, filtering out the scent of blood and White Fang. Then the building shook, swinging Jacob on the hooks that held him in place, sending a spike of agony through his dulled brain. The strange scent forgotten, Jacob returned to his nigh dormant state.

An armored transport pulls up behind the mech and the back hatch unlocks, dropping onto the concrete with a slam. The pounding of boots on metal is heard as a squadron steps out the back.

Silfurion stepped out of the back of the transport, Gelida Cor at the ready. He moved up past the mech to where Hira is, switching his rifle to automatic. "Overmind, this is Shard. I've regrouped with Poinsettia." Glancing at Hira's weary state he taps her arm and points back towards the APC. "Go rest, me and Hurricane will continue on."

Carefully walking out of the back of the APC, Kokkino glances around before trodding over to Silfurion. "If my guess is worth anything they'll have Reaver somewhere up ahead."

Voices floated down through the darkness. The doors opened and a lone figure entered the cell. Rough armoured fingers wrapped around Jacob's neck and began to squeeze
"Who did you contact?" the Fang snarled
"I didn't contact anyone" Jacob retorted, trying to suck air into his lungs.
"Well then, maybe I should kill you now" another silhouette passed by the door
"What are you doing Kel? We're supposed to keep him alive for the boss!"
"To hell with that!" Kel squeezed tighter, reaching for the knife strapped to his belt "I'll cut his throat and then we can bail."
