Third Team SNTS: 1st Training Day at the Temple [ CLOSED ]

"Quit staring you have a date with some other girl!" Kaitlin hissed at Shem. Hunter went on full alert.
"Kait..."
"I DONT HAVE ANOTHER DATE!" Shem's aura suddenly burst. "STOP TRYING TO MAKE ME FEEL BAD!" Hunter began to worry a little, cautiously saying "Shem..." while Kait muttered something.
"WHAT DID YOU JUST SAY!?" Shem suddenly appeared up on the roof. "Say that again."
"Guys. Stop arguing, right now." Hunter tried to intervene, but couldn't for two reasons. One, they didn't seem to notice him one bit. Two, Hunter did not want to get teamkilled.
Kaitlin smirked and brought her knee to Shem's sensitive parts, saying, "Like I said...Like father, like SON!"
"GUYS. Cut it out. NOW." Hunter shouted at the top of his lungs. "Look, I know you two are not having a good time right now, but if you guys argue, at least try not to bring it to Team Practice?" Shem just sauntered off as his aura dissipated muttered something, then fell off the roof.
"Aw, crap. Shem!" Hunter tried to grab Shem as he fell, but grabbed only air as he saw the ursa circling Nigrum.


The ursa had began circling the human with the stick when something fell out the corner of its eyes. It turned and looked. Another prey? The ursa began running towards the object that fell, roaring as it did.

Looks like it's time for a midday meal.

Shem hits the ground holding his region. "ow...the pain..."

Nigrum readied himself preparing to attack as the Ursa circled around him. A staring contest, neither opponent wanting to make the first move. From the ruins Nigrum heard the sound of Kaityln and Shem fighting. He couldn't take his eyes off of the ursa lest he give it the advantage. "Oy guys would you shut up over there, I'm trying to focus"

He heard light a slight thump from the direction of the others. A moment later the Ursa looked away and started running towards the others. "What did you guys do" Nigrum said spinning around and running after the Ursa. Ahead of him he could see Hunter and Kaitlyn standing on the ruins but couldn't see Shem. Did he fall? Nigrum thought running forward. He clicked the ear of the Panther causing the eyes to glow White.

He Jabbed forward while running aiming ahead of the Ursa and shooting a ball of ice to hopefully freeze the Ursa.

Hunter watched it run towards Shem. Recalling what he learned in class, Ursas all attack by doing a jump attack while slashing with its arm at its target, then mauling the target. Hunter looked beyond the Ursa and at Nigrum, who was lunging with his fancy walking stick.


Food.

The Ursa was charging towards what seemed to be a delicious snack, roaring as it did. It lunged towards its prey and slashed with its left paw. Its arm suddenly stopped midair. The Ursa took a look at why its hand felt weird. A clear ball surrounded it, making its hand feel numb and tingly. The Ursa turned around and saw the prey from before behind it.

Live food. The Ursa roared and swung towards its prey with its giant, heavy cold hand.

Shem slowly stands up and grabs his sword, looking at the turned around ursa in pure rage. His eyes fully red with black iris' and the skin on his arm cracking. "I...am nothing like him..." Shem jumps at the ursa and jumps on its back, splits his sword into 2, and lets 1 half fall to the ground, and changes the 1 in his hand to its gattling gun form. he puts the barrels right at the back of the ursa's head and squeezes the trigger.

"What's he doing?" Hunter asked Kaitlin, but she didn't say anything. Shem had just split his sword in two and unleashed a torrent of bullets using only one half of it. He's been firing nonstop for about two minutes now into the brain of the Ursa.

"Okay... um... Kaitlin! I think it's your turn to kill an Ursa." Hunter launched another sword beam at the crates. "Let's see what you have in store."

Shem stands on top of the obliterated body of the ursa, covered in its blood. He looks down at it with red eyes, his own blood coming from his mouth, and begins to laugh manaically.

"Go and degenerate."

"Kait? Are you going to attack the Ursa?" Hunter asked.
"Go and degenerate." She mutters.
"I sure hope you're saying that to Shem and not me..." Hunter turned back to the open field. "Nigrum, you're up!"

Nigrum watched as Shem jumped onto the Ursa and proceeded to obliterate it's brain with the minigun form of his weapon. He stood and watched, it was ruthless. "Oy shem, It's dead you can stop now" Nigrum shouted at him clearly ignored.

He started walking towards the temple after Shem stopped shooting the corpse. "What is wrong with you Shem?" He asked looking at his blood covered teammate.

"Nigrum, you're up!" Hunter shouted from the roof of the temple.

"I was just suppose to be up till this guy" he pointed to Shem "stole my Ursa. I call Shem-nanigans." He chuckled a little bit at the terrible pun.

"Shem-nanigans?" Hunter shook his head. Who did he think he is? Punkleman the Standup Comedian?


Crawling out into the blazing light, the Ursa staggered, not because it hasn't seen daylight for days, but because it hated the sun. If only it could reach the bright orb in the sky that blinded it, the Ursa would be happy. At least it had some food near it to satisfy its hunger.

A slight crawl led to a slight gallop. The gallop turned into a charge. The charge became a sprint. The sprint led into a jump.

All 900 pounds of the Ursa came out of the air at its prey.

Shem stopped laughing and began sobbing as his Ragnarok fades. He falls to his knees and sits in the bloody mess that was the ursa. He holds his arm with intense pain as a faint cracking noise is heard and a red aura glow under his arm.

OOC: Hunter is unaware of Shem's anger issues. All he knows is Shem loves to drink.

IC: "Shem? You okay buddy? Do you need alcohol?"

Shem winces at his arm. "No...no I'm ok..." Shem walks over to a tree, struggles to climb it and sits on a branch.

Nigrum rolled forward as the Ursa attempted to tackle him. "no no Boo boo" He said looking at the bear. he stabbed towards the bear with Panther. aiming to hint just behind the bears right ear and impale it's brain. It was a risky attack but would end the fight quickly if it worked.

Nigrum pulled the Panther out as the Ursa rolled away. He had missed his mark and was gonna have to pay for that now.

The Ursa moved away before swinging it's claws at him attempting to catch him in the middle of the claws. He jumped forward out of the way of the Ursa's claws and ending right up against the bear. He took in the horrible smell against his better judgement. "Boo Boo, you need to take a bath" he said before stabbing the Panther down at the Ursa's left foot.

"No, you're not okay, Shem." Hunter jumped down, did a little roll, and walked towards Shem's tree. "You're obviously hurt. I've been learning how to use my aura to heal others. I can help you."

"RAWR!" The ursa cried as its foot felt like it burst into flames. It swung its left paw down, trying to smash its prey with its hand.

Shem jumps down the tree and shows Hunter his arm. The skin is cracking like an old statue, with a warm red aura glowing from underneath. "Good luck."

"By the gods." Hunter looked closer at the wound. He couldn't tell if it was red from Shem's blood or what seemed to be his aura. "Shem, why- What- HOW, did you get this? The ursa didn't even scratch you. You shot it. No CQC between the two of you." He gestured to the Ursa, which was now dissolving.

"How did you get this?"

Shem smiles, "Its a part of my degeneration. As you know, with continuous use of Aura, it degrades. Well, when I use Ragnarok, I begin to degrade instead. Soon, all that will be left of me is just aura without a body...."

"Wait-wait-wait." Hunter stopped him. "Ragnarok? What do you mean by 'use Ragnarok'? Doesn't it mean, 'the cold, freezing end of times'?"

Shem looks at him. "My berserk state, I call it Ragnarok. Its like my aura has a mind of its own." Shem lets out a small chuckle.

Nigrum pushed towards his right as the Ursa brought it's arm up to smash him. It wasn't the most elegant escape as his hip got struck by the claw. He hopped back a few steps from the ursa massaging his left side. He stopped and waited for the Ursa to come at him, the pain in his hip would make directly approaching risky.

"A rage mode?" Hunter was shocked. He's been looking up information of his teammates while he was waiting for them, and when scrolling through Shem's FaceSpace profile, he saw no mention of a Berserker mode, much less dying from using aura. All he knew was that 1 in 7 billion people have this condition known as berserkus smashimus, and that Hunter was staring at one of them.

"Shem, this is a dangerous condition to have. Do you have any way of controlling it? Or-or suppressing your-" Hunter was at a loss of words. He didn't expect to have someone this deadly on his team, much less unstable.


Food.
The ursa sniffed the air, smelling something it hasn't smelled in quite some time: Fear, emanating from its prey. With another mighty roar, the ursa charged again, jumping at its prey and striking down with its good arm.

Shem shrugs, "its what i am."

Shem didn't seem to mind the fact that he's a timer that's waiting to unleash an uncontrollable rage machine. Hunter wanted to say something about the subject, but he couldn't find the words.

"Fine. Give me your arm." Hunter began channeling his aura from his hands into Shem's wound, recalling stanzas from Flare Hall. He's only used his aura heal twice on another person, and the second time, it wasn't successful. Nonetheless, Hunter went on.

As he channeled his aura, Hunter couldn't help but notice on his Infinity Lens that his aura levels were dropping.
