First look at room.

Markus walked in to the dorm room, while everyone else was doing ... whatever they were doing.
It was fairly plain, with one bunk bed against the left wall, and one against the right, with two windows between them. He didn't really care, as he had things to do in private. Slinging his bag of newly-bought clothes, books, and mechanical parts on to the top bunk of the left-hand beds, he clambered up and fetched a poster out of his bag. It depicted one of his favorite team vs team TV show, Crimson Vs Cobalt. Hanging it against the wall, he started to feel a home already. Once atop his bunk once more, he dug out some metal components out of his bag, a blowtorch, a heat-proof mat (he didn't want his new mattress burned to smithereens), and some blueprints.

This will be . . . interesting. Markus thought to himself, with a mischievous grin on his face. He pulled a notbook out of his bag, then turned to the first page and crossed something out, before returning it to his bag.

Step 1: Get into Beacon... Step 21: During the chaos and confusion, eliminate the target.

(OOC: I'm thinking about team names, but I can't think of any. Help)

After searching for a bit, Lucius finally found his team Dorm but he then noticed that the lights in the room were on. Opening the door, he then saw Markus who had already decorated a bit of his share of the room.

Markus Grimm? Didn't actually meet him during the initiation.

"Hello?", Lucius said as he entered the room while Markus was looking at a notebook.

Mike walked into the room, and climbed up to the top right bed.
"This one's mine!" He shouted, before rummaging in his bag, and taking out a chess set, and setting up the pieces and placing them on the windowsill. Then he climbed down and walked over to Markus.
"What'cha doing?" He asked as he saw markus sat with his items.

Markus stuffed his notebook into his pocket when Lucius walked in, and was just about to reply to his greetings when Mike walked in.
"Hi! My name's Markus, nice to meet you!" Markus introduced himself while Mike was setting up the chess board, but then he suddenly got up and approached his bunk.
"What'cha doing?" Mike inquired.
"Just some project that I've been planning for a while, but I couldn't do it without a proper workspace. You'll have to wait and see what it is, but I think you'll like it. Hey, new guy. You met my man Mike yet?"

Markus decided to only work on his project when he was alone. There were too many questions. And besides, they wouldn't approve of what he was doing if they knew the truth. They may even try to stop him. That would be a problem. He pondered on this for a moment before wrapping his work-in-progress in a cloth rag and placing it delicately in his duffel bag.

Nathaniel walked into the room, having just returned from a trip to Vale. On his back was strapped a large chest, and it had been hell transporting it here. As if the weight alone wasn't bad enough, it was extremely awkward going through doorways, and he'd been getting some pretty strange looks as he walked through the school. Upon seeing all three of his team unpacking his first thought was to wait until they dispersed, but he forced himself inside anyway. He couldn't hide forever.
Walking over to what appeared to be the last free bed, he dropped the chest on the ground, causing a definite shudder to run through the floorboards. He stretched his aching shoulders, sighing to himself. Looking back on it, he really ought to have just paid someone else to bring it here for him. It would have saved him a lot of effort.
Kneeling down, he manhandled it around and opened the lid, so that it was blocking everyone's view of the actual contents. Making sure it was out of their line of sight, he reached inside his coat and began transferring over all the money he currently had on him.

"Hey, new guy. You met my man Mike yet?"

"No, I haven't actually... My name is Lucius. Were you one of those guys who fought against a Giant Nevermore during the initiation?", Lucius asked the two as he remembered that there were traces of such a huge fight near the temple.

He then notices Nathaniel entering the room and going towards the last free bed and unpacking his luggage without making eye contact with anyone.

And as distant as ever... He'll warm up to everyone soon, I hope, Lucius thought.

Markus' eyes widened a bit when the Nevermore was mentioned. The last thing he remembered was his gauntlet flying off into the forest and then redness until waking up in the rubble.
"Mike? What did happen to me in the Initiation after my gauntlet fell off? When I go into a ... frenzy ... I don't often remember what happened.

Markus pondered a bit before pulling out a small package from his rucksack. "This is my own personal invention, but I never got round to trying to mass-produce them", he said, a small frown on his face. He leaped off the bed, and walked up to the wall with the door in the middle. In his hand were five small components which he attached to the wall, two on either side at the edges of the wall on level with the top of the door-frame, and two on level with the door-knob beneath the first two. He pressed the button on the remaining piece, and the wall lit up, a massive screen, each of the contraptions forming a corner of the giant holograph. The screen split into four sections, each displaying the same news channel.

"Each quarter can display a different channel, and so the sounds don't get mixed up, each section has it's own set of headphones," Markus explained, a massive grin on his face. He proceeded to dig out four sets of headphones from his satchel, each one with a simple on/off switch at the side.

Nathaniel continued dumping stuff in the chest, but his mind was racing. "When I go into a frenzy I don't often remember what happened." What was this? Did Markus lose control too? How? More importantly, what did it mean for him? Nathaniel acted as though he hadn't been listening, but all of a sudden he was interested. This was important. Not that he viewed Markus as a threat but rather, was there something he could learn from this? He wouldn't approach him about it, that wasn't his way, but he'd make damn sure that he was right by Markus the next time it happened.
The money transferred, the last thing he did was place his old identity inside. In went Eric Hughes, his passport, a few bank statements, even a drivers license (although the license had of course been a forgery to begin with). After that, he closed the lid and padlocked it. When that was done he added a fingerprint scanner and numeric code just in case the padlock wasn't enough. On top of all his identification, there was 150 million lien in there, soon to be 650. There was no way on earth he was letting anyone else into it. And to that end...
Nathaniel stood up, and couged to get everyone's attention. They weren't to miss a word. "Mine." He pointed at the chest. "You touch," he slid a finger across his throat, "you die." The tone of his voice made it pretty clear; this wasn't an empty threat.
Not wanting to end the exchange on such a negative note, he searched for something else to say. He decided Markus' holographic screen would be a good start. "That. Show me."

Mike saw Markus' contraption, and grinned widely. "Now that's pretty cool!" He said happily. He heard the door open, and turned to see Nathaniel lugging a massive chest in through the door. He tried to see what it was Nathaniel had, but he had positioned himself between them and the chest. He turned to Nathaniel, saying "Have you seen Markus' invention? It's amazing! By the way, what's that there?" He asked, gesturing at the chest. "Oh and, while you were flipping out, you just kinda missed the nevermore, and landed on it when it hit the ground. You might want to check all your organs are still in place." He said back to Markus.

Markus had mixed feelings about Nathaniel's lack of communication, and his secrecy. But then again, who am I to talk about such things?

"Ahem, well, each headset is connected to a small circuit in each device, so the sound gets transferred trough the bluetooth. Or, if everyone's watching the same thing, the screen merges back into one, and you can use the built-in speakers. Cool, huh?" Markus explained.

Mike tried to pay attention to Markus' brief explanation, but his mind was distracted by more... interesting ideas. It was getting pretty boring pretty quickly here. His eyes slowly wandered to Nathaniel's chest, and he took a quick look around to see if there was anyone watching him closely. He walked casually up to the chest, then really slowly reached out with his foot and nudged it, making it slide a few inches across the ground, before looking back to Nathaniel with a mischievous grin, awaiting the reaction from the normally silent person. If this didn't cause a reaction, he knew what he had to do.

Nathaniel tried to listen to Markus' explanation but something else caught his attention. A slight scraping sound. He turned slowly, to look at where he'd stuck the chest. Everything seemed to be in the right place, but it was as if... the angle had somehow changed. He looked up and saw Mike standing there innocently. Then he looked again. Mikes foot was dangerously close. He let out a low, guttural growl, but turned back to Markus. He decided that this time, he was going to let it slide.

Lucius was quite amazed at Markus' invention, he wanted to try what Markus had brought but it seems he was rather distracted by what Mike was doing. He was trying to take out Nathaniel chest and he was quiet troubled on what the outcome would be. Hoping that Mike would stop it, he felt a bit scared that Nathaniel would notice him doing that. As he was looking at Nathaniel then looking back to Mike and Nathaniel again, he wanted to say something but he couldn't think of what he should say during these occasions.

Nathaniel then looked back and Mike stopped doing what he was trying to do. He sighed in relief and hoped that Mike wouldn't try that again. He then turned his attention to Markus' invention and asked,

"Hey can I try that out?"

"Sure!" Markus said, handing over a headset.

"Each headset is tuned to one quarter of the screen, apart from when they all merge together. It's voice activated, so just say what you want it to do, and it'll do it. Look," he said, donning a headset.
"Merge," Markus commanded, and the four quarters morphed into one big screen displaying the news channel. "Split." The hologram became the four different screens one more.

"You can also set favorite channels, like I already have. Change channel: favorite number 2." Suddenly, the top right corner, the one adjacent to Markus' bed, changed to an episode of "Crimson vs Cobalt".
"Whoa, new episode! Well, that's the basics, you can even video-call other units, if there were any others. This is the only one so far." Markus clambered up his bunk and lay back, propping the pillow behind him, making himself comfortable, his eyes on his screen section.

Mike saw that Markus had settled back into his bed and was now watching his section of the screen. He took advantage of the fact that no one was looking to move the chest a bit further with his foot. He considered just sitting down and watching some tv, but that was boring.
Not enough interesting things going on here. It's my job to liven things up around here. He thought to himself, waiting for Nathaniel to notice him.

Nathaniel stiffened. There it was again. The scraping noise. He turned, slowly, fists clenched. Lo and behold, the chest had mysteriously moved again. Mike was still standing there nonchalantly, and had even, for some reason, started whistling. Nathaniel walked towards him, close enough that their foreheads were almost touching. He loomed over him threateningly. "Stop. Now."
He turned back to Markus. There was some pretty cool stuff going on right now, but he was currently in no mood to appreciate it. He forced himself to stay calm, but his temper was stretched very thin.

Markus was distracted by Mike and Nathaniel's confrontation, and felt that he needed to take charge.
"Hey! Break it up! We're a team now. No fighting. At least not each other!" Markus realized that he was starting to talk like Nathaniel, short, quick phrases. It gets the message across quickly and easily. Good for quick orders or taking charge.

He jumped down from his bed, a thud marking his impact. Walking up to the duo, he stated "We need to get to know each-other more. Nathaniel, the lack of communication has to stop. Unless it's in battle, use normal sentences. Mike, stop taunting him, now I'm not sure if you're doing this just to annoy him or anything like that, but you need to stop.

His angry rant finished, he walked back over to his bunk muttering to himself "I need to set up a team building exercise or something," just loud enough for the others to hear.
"Now can we all just get along? Hey, do any of you watch Crimson Vs Cobalt? It's, like, the best show ever. Of all time."

Mike grinned at Nathaniel as he stormed up to him.
"Stop. Now."
Mike tried as hard as he could to stop smiling, but he couldn't. Even when someone as dangerous as Nathaniel Dispar was squaring up to him, he had a difficult time keeping serious. Then he heard Markus jump down from his bunk, and start yelling.
"Sorry sir." He said, looking down at his feet in mock shame. Then, when Markus returned to his bunk, he couldn't help but nudge the chest just once more, just to see what would happen.

Nathaniel agreed that they had to get to know each other more. Well, perhaps not everyone here... he glanced back at Mike. Still, he didn't have a clue what Markus meant when he said 'lack of communication'. He knew he wasn't the most talkative guy but he still said everything necessary to get the information across. It wasn't like he missed things out, he just didn't use pointless filler words. Turning away, he started walking towards his bed when he heard it again, for a third and final time. Surely... surely Mike wasn't stupid enough to try his luck again.
He froze, fighting against his instincts. God knows, he'd been trying hard enough to give Mike a chance but it just wasn't working. Maybe he could beat the message into him? No! He'd come here to escape the road he'd been heading down, not to keep following it in a different setting. He wasn't going to lose his temper here. He was with these people for the next four years and he did not intend on spending his first day like this. He was going to go outside, and find somewhere quiet, and take a break. There. That was sorted.
But before he knew what was happening, he was spinning on his heel, a right hook swinging straight towards Mike's irritating little face.

Mike's smile dropped as he saw the fist flying straight towards his face. He ducked, just dodging the blow. He figured Nathaniel wasn't quite the type who enjoyed a good joke. He backed away, realising he should probably make a quick getaway. Nathaniel was stood between him and the door, so that wasn't a option. He turned and saw the window, and grinned. All in a day's work. He opened it, hopped up onto the sill, making sure not to knock his chess set off, and turned back to the others.
"Jeez. Don't fall out about it!" He said, as he dropped backwards out of the window. As he was falling, he took out one of his blades, attaching it to a wall. He swung himself around, above where the new recruits were.
"Hey. I wonder if there are any people I could make friends with down there?" He said to himself as he fell.

(OOC: And I'm off to the third arrivals!)

Watching Mike annoy Nathaniel and Markus scolding them, Lucius couldn't focus on what he was watching. Then he saw Mike move the chest again and Nathaniel who was about give him a very strong and raged-filled right hook to the face. Though luckily, Mike was able to dodge it and Lucius just let out a sigh. He was planning to actually provide a bit of deflective aura on Mike just to lessen the damage he would've probably experienced but he had a second thought and just had him learn things the hard way.

Mike then left thru the window and Lucius returned to watching the news though he could notice that that didn't ease Nathaniel's rage.

Alright then. If that was how Mike wanted to play it, then who was Nathaniel to refuse. Grabbing Teres-Aris from where he had left it lying in the corner, he rushed out the door. He pounded through the corridor, down the stairs, and out through the main entrance. Damn whatever rules they had in place, Mike was going to suffer. He spotted him as he ran past, and dropped to one knee. Not bothering to fix a scope, he took a snap shot as he ran past. The sonic boom echoed out and a nearby fountain exploded. Damn.
Back on his feet, he sprinted after the fleeing boy, reloading as he went. Water began to flood the courtyard behind him.

Markus saw Mike jump out of the window, and was just as shocked to see Nathaniel run out of the door after him. He decided to try and break them up, so he ran up to the window ledge.
"Lucius! You coming?" were Markus' last words before leaping down on to the new arrival of students.

Lucius let out an even deeper sign and opened his bag to retrieve Xavier and Valerie.

"Yeah, who knows what Nathaniel would do to Mike if he caught him"
