There was silence as six Beacon Guards approached the door to Team ADAM's dorms, a woman's voice whispering. "Everyone clear. Charge in fifteen. Ready?"

True to her word, it was fifteen seconds later the door was unlocked and the enforcers of security at Beacon stormed the room, wielding their Sanctioned Force shock clubs in case they met a hostile student, two pointing them at the orange-haired girl who was in the middle of changing as the other four prepared to search the room. "Beacon Guard! This is a contraband search, hands in the air!" They shouted at her, not particularly caring about her modesty.

Having just recently returned from an evening out in the city of Vale, Alani had returned to her dorm. All was peaceful as her teammates were all out doing their own thing. She didn't really know what they did in their free time, but they had a tendency to be out of the dorm rather frequently. Taking a deep, relaxing breath, Alani began to undress and change out of her street clothes. Of course, she made sure the door was locked and the boys weren't hiding anywhere in the apartment.

Unfortunately for her, the locked door meant nothing to the officials who decided to barge in without warning. With her pants kicked off into a corner and her shirt pulled up to her chest, Alani quickly turned towards the door with a look of shock. Her heart pounded rapidly as the strangers entered with the booming voice announcing their purpose. Reflexively reaching down to cover her exposed undergarments, her shirt fell back down to cover her torso. Still, she was only half dressed.

Rather than listening to their command, Alani questioned them in fear. "What's going on?!" They had already given her the answer, but in her current state she needed a better explanation for their sudden entry into her team's private dorm.

"HANDS IN THE AIR," one of the Beacon Guard yelled, a thin red laser and a hum denoting that he was about to shock her if she didn't comply.

"Contraband search. You can thank your leader trying to drug people," the first woman, who wore epaulets the others did not to denote a slightly higher rank. Alani's stuff being closest, she opened a drawer and began tossing out garments. in her search.

Alani hesitated for a split second before throwing her hands up just above her shoulders. Needless to say, she wasn't very comfortable being so exposed. She shifted her weight and bent each knee alternatively, as if it would help cover her lower half. It didn't, but it helped her feel more secure now that she was unable to use her hands. Looking around the room, the look of fear never left her face.

"Drugging people??" Alani had no idea what the guard was talking about, but she sounded serious. Her eyes eventually locked onto the guard who was rummaging through her belongings, quite roughly at that. "Hey!" She wanted to stop them, but she was petrified. One wrong move and she'd really be paralyzed.

"Goddamn it," the woman said as Alani called out, jumping a little and glaring, "administer a breathalyzer test. At least she'll be quiet for a few seconds..."

Another guard nodded, pulling out a device that he plugged a straw into and held in front of Alani's face. "Put your lips around the straw and blow as long as you can."

As the other guards began searching through the others' belongings just as roughly as Alani's own, the woman reached Alani's underwear drawer, tossing her delicates out without care to Alani's potential embarassment, until she looked at Alani. "Oh ho ho..." She pulled out a bottle, waving it. "An accomplice?"

"Seriously?" Alani muttered quietly to herself before rolling her eyes and complying with the instructions given to her. Taking in a deep breath, she exhaled into the tube. Half way through the test, Alani's eyes widened as she came to a sudden realization. She had, in fact, been drinking just a few hours ago. It was just one small glass of whiskey and a sunrise at the café, but she had no idea if the alcohol was still in her system or not. Trying to remain calm, Alani tried to end the test as quickly as she could, blowing as hard as the device allowed her to.

When the other guard pulled out an unusual bottle, Alani was confused and worried. She quickly pulled away to question her once more. "What is that?" Alani knew she was no accomplice. She still wasn't even completely sure what Aphelion had done. She couldn't imagine her own teammate, their leader, putting their fellow peers in danger.

The woman was about to ask Alani the same question when the breathalyzer beeped. "That's an affirmative. You're Alani Fields, correct?" The man with the breathalyzer looked at it, and tapped his visor a few times. "Yup. Underage drinking. Permission to cuff her, Lieutenant?"

"Granted." The woman with the bottle handed it off to another Beacon Guard as as the first put away the breathalyzer and produced a pair of zip-tie handcuffs.

"Alright, hands behind your back facing me. You don't want to make this harder for yourself." As the woman tossed more of Alani's underwear out of the drawer, and produced a second bottle, the man held out the cuffs.

Alani couldn't believe what was happening. She shouldn't have accepted the whiskey, or the drink at the café. She wouldn't have had she known this would happen. "What are you doing?" Doing as she was told, Alani couldn't help but feel like things were about to get much worse for her.

'This can't be happening. I can't get in trouble like this. I didn't even do anything. It was just a few drinks. I've never even had alcohol before today. Ugh, I'm so stupid!' Alani couldn't even try to hide the look of worry on her face as her thoughts continued down the dangerous path of negativity. Spotting the second bottle only made it worse. "Those aren't even mine! I don't even know what they are!" She figured if those bottles were getting her in trouble, the least she could do was try to defend herself. She wasn't lying after all.

When Alani didn't cooperate, the Beacon Guard who had the cuffs grabbed her and threw her face down on her bed, forcing her hands behind her back as he slipped the cuffs on and tightened them, giving the entire room a clean view of the only underwear she apparently owned that wasn't sitting on the floor already as he roughly bound her wrists together.

The lieutenant didn't seem to care. "We hear that all the time. It's never theirs." Casually tossing aside more of Alani's clothes as she searched. "As it stands, we already have you on underage drinking, so the more you cooperate, the easier this can go on you."

"Jackpot," a Beacon Guard said as he rose from under Aphelion's bed, dragging a case of bottles. He opened one, and took a whiff. "Yeah... there's something funny in here..." He closed the bottle, putting it with the others. "Think they're all involved? I can see it now. 'Team Busted on drug ring. Beacon Guard proven wildly effective at cleaning up school.'"

"Don't get ahead of yourself. Call down to the lab, we're scheduling drug testing for the entire team."

"Augh!" Alani groaned as she was slammed down onto her own bed. She bounced a up a few inches before feeling her body rebound right back down onto the mattress. Hands behind her back forcefully being tied up, Alani was helpless. "Come on! I didn't even do anything! I don't even know what's going on! I just got back from Vale!" Part of her wanted to listen to the guard, cooperate just as they said, but she couldn't help but panic a little. The raid was so sudden and everything was happening so fast.

"Oh, then mind explaining why you had drugs and alcohol squirreled away in your unmentionables?" The lieutenant's voice was tinged with amusement. "Let me tell you what's going to go down."

There was a creak as the guards lifted Marc's mattress, finding a bottle. Lifting it so the lieutenant could see, she held the bridge of her nose under her visor.

"As things stand now, you're already in trouble for underage drinking. Alphonso here is going to take you down to the infirmary, probably just as you are, and you're going to be administered a drug test. If it comes up positive, that, plus this evidence..? You're looking at expulsion, and with what your leader pulled added, you're probably going to get lockup for a bit while criminal charges are processed. If you're blushing and nervous now, I'd hate to see your face during a strip search."

That got a few looks from the guards.

"... But anything you say to help us can be used to help you. Anything to deflect guilt off of you, because if your leader tried to drug the whole school, are you absolutely, positively sure you're going to pass that drug test being in this dorm?" The lieutenant stared down at the girl, her arms crossed. "It's a lot easier to be lenient on a dumb kid who got caught up in something she didn't understand than an accomplice who doesn't talk."

Ven noticed something was wrong as he was returning to his room. In the hallway, there was an armed guard outside his room and the door was open. Judging by the uniform, it was a Beacon guard, so he at least didn't have to worry that some other power had managed to infiltrate the place. Well, even if unlikely, it is a possibility.

But with that possibility ruled out, he decided to approach the guard rather calmly and asked, "What's going on?"

Alani shuffled wildly, about to yell out at the mention of a strip search along with the severe punishments. Though, she quickly calmed down as the guard continued. Hearing everything she had to say, it was starting to seem like she was almost trying to help Alani, advising her on the best course of action to get her in as little trouble as possible. Still a bit frantic about the whole situation, Alani couldn't stay calm for long. "I don't do drugs! I barely know him!" Starting to tone it down a little, Alani spoke at a more normal volume. "I really didn't do anything. I just had a drink when I was out with some friends. I didn't even know it had alcohol. They didn't ask for my ID or anything." She was mostly telling the truth, admitting much more than she'd like to have, but she couldn't help it. Her emotions were getting the better of her. All she wanted for all of this to be over and to go back to the peace she had just a few moments ago.

Throughout the entire scuffle, Alani hadn't even noticed her teammate walk in through the door.

A Beacon Guard intercepted Ven, holding out his arm to stop him. "Contraband search. You can't go in there. Please stay right here."

The lieutenant shook her head at the girl in her underwear on the bed, sighing. "Come on, you can give me more than that. You have to help me for me to help you."

Ven stops just before entering the room, looking inside. After seeing Alani on the bed with her hands behind her back, and exposed legs, Ven blushes a little and steps to the side to use the wall to cover her up for him. Looking back to the guard, he asked him another question. "Contraband search? What for?" Ven was curious. He knew Aphelion had stashed stuff around the room, but hardly knew anything about him or his other teammates. Judging Aphelion from a first impression, he wouldn't guess that Aphelion would do anything to put him and his team in danger, but Ven's been wrong before.

Alani struggled for a moment once more, not exactly trying to escape, just get back up at least. Seeing as she was unable to in her current position, she gave up with a sigh. After settling down, she spoke up once more in that same calm, yet helpless voice. "What more do you want from me? I don't know anything." There was a hint of a sob in her speech, followed by a few more which she tried to hide shortly after. Unsure of what was to come, only one thought echoed in her mind as she shut her eyes. 'I don't wanna get in trouble. I can't. I just can't.'

"... Alphonso? When you take Miss Fields to get tested, please tell the medical staff we'll need someone on hand to perform a body cavity search as part of lockup procedures." The lieutenant spoke in a matter-of-fact way, looking away from Alani. "She's not going to give us anything useful, unless she wants to share who she was drinking with." Slowly, methodically, the lieutenant's gaze turned back to the girl on the verge of tears. "Without any other directions, we'd have to assume you're responsible... And I already told you what that would entail."

Outside, the Beacon Guard glanced inside the room at Alani. "Your leader tried to drug the second initiation ball. We've already found plenty of contraband, in the girl's area, and everyone else's. Your entire team has some explaining to do, and you'll all be getting tested for drugs. ... Speaking of, mister... Ven?" The Guard had pulled up his file, but looked confused. "Anyway... When the search is over, we'll be escorting you to the clinic so the test can be administered. Anything you can say to try to clear yourself ahead of time might help your case." He jerked his head at the door. "Or hers."

"Well darn.... I don't know what I expected... but it wasn't that...." Ven didn't look or sound nervous or worried. But he was disappointed in Aphelion. He actually kinda liked the guy. What little he knew of him, anyway.

Peeking back in the room to look at Alani, not bothering with her current clothing situation, he felt kind of bad for her. She's definitely worried. Ven was a little nervous too, though he didn't show it. While he had gotten in trouble with authority figures in the past, he's never been in trouble with something as serious as poisoning people. But since he didn't do anything wrong, he figured that he himself shouldn't get in too much trouble.

Unfortunately, he didn't know enough about the others or their daily lives to defend their cases. He wouldn't have much to say. "Can I go in to be with my teammate until we head towards the clinic?" Ven asked looking back to the guard.

There was one more sob before Alani began considering everything the lieutenant said. 'A body cavity search?' She didn't like the sound of that. Then again, she wasn't exactly happy with the entire situation in the first place. It only seemed like things were getting worse and worse as time went by. There was a long silence, which Alani knew wasn't a good thing considering the way things were progressing. She had to say something. After a few sniffles and considering all her options, she eventually spoke up, her tone dead and monotonous. "This girl I met today, Viola." Alani didn't want to rat her out, especially after she purchased that brand new motorcycle for her, but between her and Chiu, she was the oldest and clearly had enough money to get out of a scuffle like this. "She invited me to a café. I ordered a drink there, but I didn't know it had alcohol. I thought it was a smoothie or juice or something. They didn't even ask for my ID." She restated that last fact, figuring the blame could be put on the staff for not following proper procedures.

Yawning and stretching as she walks through the dorm halls, Viola is just killing time while waiting for Chiu and Alani to be ready. Dressed in her formal attire, she is somewhat careful about running in to anyone, or anything. Nearing Team ADAM's dorm, she spots some of the Beacon Guard and a male who she supposed was one of Alani's teammates outside the room. Walking over, she glances inside quickly and notices how little Alani actually has on, as well as how tough the guards are being. Turning to the guards outside the room, she asks, "What the HELL is going on here? Even if you're conducting a search of the room, at least let the girl get some damn pants on!"

Without noticing Viola approaching, the guard dealing with Ven shook his head. "I'm sorry, we have to keep interference to a minimum, and she is being detained for possible arrest. Remain out here."

Another turned to Viola, glaring at her under his visor. Pulling up her file from facial recognition, the glare deepened. "This is none of your concern," he barked, hand on his club. "She is being detained for underage alcohol use. Procedure is being followed. That is all you need to know."

"Who is it," the Lieutenant inside called out.

"Viola Aria, according to fil-"

"... Bring her in here..." The lieutenant's voice was cold and distant, and she looked down at Alani. "Viola, you said? Is it this Viola?" Outside, the guard dealing with Viola stepped out of the way, and pointed inside, clearing the line of sight between Viola and Alani. "... Come on in. I have some questions for you..."

The disposition and arrangement of the guards in the hallway shifted, and refusing didn't seem to be an option.

Hearing the voice outside, then finally spotting Viola, Alani began to panic inside. 'Crap, crap, crap. I'm dead. I'm so dead!' She shut her eyes tight and buried her face in the mattress, not answering when asked to confirm the girl's identity. Alani had been worried about the trouble she'd get in after this whole mess was over, but now she was worried for her life. 'She's gonna kill me. I just know it!'

Shrugging at the hostility of the guards, Viola steps in to the room, standing just inside the door. "I'll only answer your questions if you let her get dressed. You can arrest me or whatever, but I won't be saying anything if you continue with your current treatment of Alani."

The lieutenant looked at Viola coldly a moment. "... Cuff her."

Another Beacon Guard was more than happy to comply, pulling Viola's hands behind her back and slipping the cuffs on before tightening them.

The lieutenant looked down at Alani, who was silent, then back at Viola. "... I guess you aren't going to say anything, and she's refusing to confirm anything... So I guess we take her up, give her a strip and cavity search and lock her up until her drug test, and depending on what we have on you, get you a nice little cell until administration or municipal authorities decide to do something about you..."

She turned back and patted Viola's cheek, like a soft series of slaps.

"But you were concerned. It could be passed off as just being anti-authority, but you know her name... You're refusing to cooperate, unless we do something for her..." The lieutenant leaned in, whispering. "The problem is, we're holding all the cards. If you're really concerned for her... I suggest you start talking, unless you want to be there for that ordeal when I arrest you for obstruction of justice..."

Being shrugged off, Ven just leaned back against the wall in front of the door watching everything going on. My snacks... Ven thought. With another girl approaching the room, his attention turned to her. Something bothered him about her. Her reaction to the search and seizure was also less than ideal. It's natural to be a little less than pleased when one of your friends is being treated this way, but this other girl had no respect for authority. This made him very upset and with her being let into the room, this bothered him even more, but in a different way. He was Alani's teammate and he wasn't allowed in the room, but this other girl was. Maybe she had something to do with the crime itself, maybe not.

Turning to the guard he wanted to ask again if he could go in, but decided against it and decided to watch the girl's actions instead... this Viola... she interested him... but she bothered him.
