The Kitsune and the Fenghuang [Invite Only]

Aphelion chuckled nervously when he saw and read about Emer. I guess I can see some similarities to Aoife... Brr, I sure hope no volcanoes are involved with her.

Deciding that there was nothing more to see in the library (and that choosing only one book would be unfair) Aphelion left the library and looked for a way to the lower floors.

Katy blinked and quickly stepped over to Melissa to help her back to her feet. "Bulletproof glass?" Bulletproof glass was one of the true annoyances for a sniper. As far as Katy was concerned the stuff served no purpose except as an additional, aggravating obstacle. Thankfully Grimm weren't smart enough to ever hope to use the stuff.

"I bet this place probably works as an excellent safehouse, huh. I'm guessing you've got enough supplies in here to hold off like.. a siege or something."

"And you know. Keeping a five year old child in a tower where falling out of the building would mean death, yeah." Facepalming at Melissa despite her tone being friendly if not sarcastic, she smirks, "Well the bedrooms are all outfitted with escape tunnels what lead to the cave systems the robot army resides in. Then some of the rooms have extra seals on it..."

Aphelion would come to one of such sealed doors, a metal door more like a bulkhead than anything else, evidently going down to the lower levels with a the caption,"Entry to only the current Head and allowed guests. Anyone else runs the risk of dismemberment, beheading, shot, impaled and otherwise a bad time."

Getting back to her feet with Katy's help, Melissa immediately began trying to open the window, instead of simply jumping at it. Unfortunately (Or fortunately, depending on how you feel about a poor, innocent girl jumping out of a tower), in her dazed state from crashing into a solid object, she was failing miserably, failing to even find a way to open it. Instead she simply flailed flopped poked vainly at the glass, trying to get it to open with no success.

"Stupid window... Open!" She said, her words a little slurred.

Right. So I guess I shouldn't go here...

With painful curiosity, Aphelion started walking away from the door, only to come back to it and walk away again, only to come back to it and run away as far as he could until he couldn't tell which way it was back to the door.

"Wait. Robot army?" Katy put an arm around Melissa's shoulders to keep her steady, briefly wondering if she had somehow given herself a concussion. "You have a robot army? Why do you have a robot army?" Katy had given up trying to mentally quantify how much stuff Aoife's family seemed to have, and had begun just assuming they had all of it. They probably had all the money, and all the things.

She had doubted Aoife could have mentioned something that would have shocked her at this point, but 'robot army' had done it.

"Well... My aunt doesn't like it when you call them robots, so really an android army? And they are her means of killing stuff. She is their General or something like that." Shrugging, she looks at the pair, "Also can you stop Melissa trying to jump to her death? Wouldn't look good on a report as to why she died, plus-"

Downstairs, the group had finished their singing and fighting. Cutting off her with a loud, "Aoife get your backside down here! Food is done." Followed by hushed voices and a loud yelp from Connla, having been struck for his wording.

Realizing that her plan to find a way to open the window with her hands wasn't going to succeed, Melissa came up with a genius idea. One that would ensure her victory over the window, and allow her to leave this silly candy-room-less house to go find a better one, with lots of candy. Putting her plan into action, she began bashing her head against the window to break it open.

"Open... Damn... You... Window...!" She said, punctuating each word with a bash of her head against the window.

Having now found himself lost in the giant maze of a house, Aphelion decided it would be only logical to stick to the left wall and follow it in hopes of finding his way back to the room with his book, or at least the library, else he'd be stuck wandering the house and completely miss the rest of the party.

Katy attempted to forcefully pull Melissa away from the window. "Melissa, leave the window alone? I think you'll win if we give you enough time, but we can go find something else to do, away from the window." At the yell, Katy quickly motioned with a hand. "See? Someone yelling seems more interesting than a simple window, right?"

Sighing, she would grow irritated by the attempt to break her stuff. Simply walking to the window, she would press a button on the side, a shutter coming down rather rapidly between the glass and her, "We should probably go down, there will be food for you two as well, don't worry."

Aphelion would instead of finding a large room with a table dominating it. Seats spaced out around them, there would be one chair unlike the others: Made of Gold instead of the wood like the rest, it would be at the end of the table and rather obvious who it was for. Food being laid by the quartet, Lilliana would give him a brief smile before returning to work, having just placed a large salad down.

Melissa allowed herself to be pulled away, although she shook her fist hatefully at the window, now with a shutter protecting it, "HIDE BEHIND ARMOUR, WILL YOU? I'LL SHOW YOU ONE DAY, COWARD! I'LL SHOW ALL OF YOU!" She shouted.

Grumbling, she allowed herself to be lead to wherever the food was - the window hadn't won, she had merely decided that food sounded more attractive than defeating the window. One day...

Keeping quiet but returning the smile, Aphelion moved aside timidly and waited to be instructed or otherwise told where to sit as he didn't wish to do something wrong by anyKnight's standards.

Katy kept an arm around Melissa for the time being, to make sure she didn't decide to run back and start attacking the window again. "Downstairs seems like a good idea, right Melissa? No nasty windows or anything down there, and I bet there are some sweets down there that need to be eaten."

Katy was hoping Melissa would forget all about the atrocities committed by the nefarious window by the time they came back upstairs, or getting any sleep later in the evening was going to prove difficult.

Nodding at Katy, she would smile before leaving the two to go downstairs, saying back to them, "I never said we had no candy, I said we had no rooms made of candy.. Also if you want to actually reach the food and not get lost, would hurry up." The seperator staying across where she got changed, Aoife's whistling echoing.

Meanwhile, Aphelion would just be ignored except for the mechanical whirring coming from the hall he just exited. Walking up and ignoring him would be two rather evident robots, followed by a pink dressed woman and an evident faunus in black armour, saying to the companion, "I figured it reeked more like humans than usual, seems they are inviting yet more of the mongrels to this place."   The woman not replying, they would move over to help with the feast being prepared, Lilliana moving over to him with a slight frown, "Hey, how's everything so far?"

Suddenly feeling very tired and a little dizzy (Probably from her valiant battle against the evil Window of Doom), Melissa snuggled into Katy, yawning softly as the group began moving towards wherever there was food.

"C-could I..." Aphelion looked for a right choice of words as he slid himself into a corner, shaking slightly nervously, "Sit away from the... things?"

Katy led Melissa downstairs, following Aoife downstairs to the dining room. "See? Candy awaits. It might not be a room made out of the stuff, but it's better than nothing, right?" Katy was far more interested in what the rest of the food could be. It had been a few hours since she last ate, and she was starting to get hungry again.

"Aoife, what are you having for dinner anyway? I'd imagine it'll be at least as good as the food from earlier was, right?"

Shrugging as if telling them to wait and see, she would lead them to a mostly prepared dining room, the table nearly as long as the room with a large space left. As it was said, Lilliana would nod to Aphelion, "You can sit next to me then." gesturing to a wooden chair near the golden seat. Meanwhile, the robots taking out a large carcass in a bowl and placing it on the floor nearby as the other two add small trays to the table. Finishing rather quickly, Aoife would smirk, "Well. What do you want? I mean, I would have to go grab the candy for Melissa, but we have set out pretty much everything. Try not to eat it all however."

Meanwhile, Melissa had fallen asleep while hanging onto Katy, her legs moving automatically in response to being guided along.

Aphelion gave Lilliana a thankful smile and took off. He made it his business to take the long route around the robots before sitting in the instructed chair and waiting for the feast to begin... looking forward mostly to the salad and doing his best to ignore both the robots and the carcass, swinging his legs under the chair and humming himself a tune.

"I'll probably try a little bit of everything," Katy said, looking at all the various kinds of food. "But I think Melissa fell asleep," she said, giving Melissa a small shake to try and wake her up. "Or she actually hurt herself fighting that window.."

Katy busied herself by carefully checking Melissa's head for any large bumps from her collision before sitting down. It wouldn't be right to sit down for a meal with an injured friend possibly needing medical attention, after all.

Sighing loudly, Aoife would just gesture to the table, pointing towards the seats as the last of the dinner is served, a loud roar coming from the same direction as the Ursa walks up to its bowl, sniffing the dead animal as Connla moves to pour a jar of red sap over it.
The rest of the family would move to sit down, Ferdiad in the golden chair, Cecilia in the chair to the left of it and Lilliana to the right, skipping the first chair in favour of the second. Imperia and Milisendis would take the seats next to her sister, all staying quiet as the two androids evidently power down away from the table. "Just sit her next to Mil' , she will take care of her."

Melissa continues to sleep, although there aren't any noticeable marks on her head. Slowly though, her eyes open, and she yawns, standing up straight and stretching, scratching her head in confusion. When had she gotten all the way down here?

"Huh? Wheeere are weee? How did I geet heree?" She asked in a daze.

Aphelion glanced around the table, counting up people, a flash of curiosity as he looked at Imperia followed by a flash of sorrow as he looked at Aoife. He stopped humming and settled his legs before putting on a serious face and facing forward.

Katy frowned slightly, but tried to guide Melissa toward the chair Aoife had indicated. "We're in Aoife's dining room, Melissa. It's dinner time, right? Plenty of food and probably plenty of candy too," she said quietly, before finding her own seat. "We'll have some dinner and then you can get back to your nap. Sounds good, right?"

Aoife would first walk ahead of them and whisper something into Imperia's ear, her tail raising to next to her head before she sighed and nodded. Then Aoife would exit to grab a quick stash of candy, Connla moving to sit at the right hand side as his Father, Lilliana leaning and whispering to Aphelion, "Best behaviour, as three of the people sitting down could kill you without a second thought, and the cyborg would kill you just for her master thinking you looked at her the wrong way."
