The life and times of Lycus Montag.

((Takes place roughly thirty minutes after the end of the third initiation, which is about three minutes after Lycus was critically injured. The Beacon staff were able to put him on a sort of life support.))

Six members of the Beacon medical staff carry in a boy on a stretcher, lots of tubes and IV drips and other such medical implements sticking out of his body. He seems conscious, but is fading fast. Placing his body on one of the empty beds, in one of the empty rooms, they hang all of the fluid bags up and begin to work.

They quickly signal for the lead healer, and with her coming in, they are able to repair a small amount of the damage to his body, primarily repairing the punctured lung. The rest of his injuries were too severe, however, and they realized he only had a few hours of life left. For the time being, they didn't say anything about him dying, but the lead healer did ask him one question. "Lycus, if you can hear me, is there anyone you would like us to send for to visit you?"

Lycus looked around the bleak hospital room with blurred and tired eyes. In the background he was able to hear the faint dripping of IV tubes and the monotonous beeping of his own heart monitor over the rushed voices of the doctors and nurses rushing around the room as if they were muted. At last a voice spoke out to him to break the repetitive sounds of the medical equipment, asking him for anyone to come to his side. The man didn't say it but he knew why he was asking him the question. Lycus thought about his family. His mother and his father, back in the town of Aldens Valley, He left that place at the mere age of ten....he hadn't even said goodbye when he left. He thought of his own brother. His last memory of Nycteus was the playing in the river which ran through his town, the night before he left. His hometown.....they could never reach him in time. Who had he met here? His teammates...their names were...were...He had met the girl at when he first arrived here...she was..nice..her name.....He felt the blood drain from his face as he realized how he would die, alone in a bleak room with medical equipment stuck into every inch of his body. Tears began rolling down his cheek as he came to that realization, with a heavy heart he turned his head toward the direction the question was asked from and slowly shook his head.

That's when Robin of all people kicked open the door and marched in. Looking more annoyed then anything else.

"Yo, you done with the self pity crap and starting with the healing?" She asked bluntly.

David walked in behind Robin. "You know we could have knocked at least." David walked near Lycus. That damn worm. "If we only we could have done more he may not be in a hospital right now."
