Broken In So Many Ways [Open]

Oh Hells indeed.

The point blank Shockwave dissipating he pretty much realises there's only one option left. And he really doesn't want to go there again. He quickly turns to avoid the spear, blinking as it embeds itself perilously close to him and then...well...the kick connects. Now things are going to get ugly.

His leg likely crunches. Or at least the armoured plates do and there is a surge of pain. But with that pain his aura flares up, jagged, erratic, covering him in interlocking blades, an instinctive shield against Shadow Dragon's strike. But the pain pushes him even more. He starts to laugh again and his movement speeds up even more.

FRENZY.

His eyes open, bright blue instead of the black of the abyss and he lunges forward. The aura forms around him, covering him in a shroud of blades and he brings the Talons forward far, far faster than he was before. A flurry of blows, designed to force her back on the defensive as his leg flared up in pain. He was now fighting like a cornered beast, his mind racing as he sought to drown the memory. Drown the images...replace them with her. This angel of wrath.

He just had to drive her back...Not succumb to the Memory....

Jumping and narrowly missing the shot by accident, she would make a quick barrier between her and Drake with her aura, grabbing a now roaring White with her speed still intact, she would go to block his next attack with the tip of the spear, aiming to electrify the blades and by extension - Drake, as the back of the spear spits out white flames, creating a flame barrier behind her.

Fire? Fire? Fire was his. He lunged forward, hacking, slashing, his movements wild and incredibly difficult to predict, triggering the Flamethrower as he does so. Soon enough those rapid, flurried strikes become accompanied by flame, burning liquid splashing forward with each berserk swipe, creating a criss cross pattern on the floor of the courtyard around then.

When the electrified spear is brought up the surge of electricity is enough to send a shock through him, forcing him back for a moment, shaking his head but then he turns, looking at her with those wild eyes. Something more was going on. The Memory was surfacing...and she was becoming the beast.

He roars, losing himself and his aura responds in kind. As he starts to shock himself, as he is slowly forced back with each spark the aura starts to intensify about him. Each swipe is accompanied by further slashes from the aural blades covering him and he starts to press forward again. His black hair starts to pale, turning that dirty ashen blonde even as the blue of his eyes seems to intensify.

Setting alight the liquid as she briefly retreats, smirking at him before outright laughing. She would give him her patented Malice look, "What's the matter? I have yet to reach my second form."
With this, she would spin the spear, the flames what before were just by the hilt now compassed the spear while the opposite happened with the electrical currents. Sheathing Shadow Dragon once more, she would return into the fight with the entire weapon electrified and on fire, each block she does to his blades causing him to suffer a shock, each shock stronger than the last.

Each shock would cause him to roar. Each shock would push him deeper and deeper into the Memory. Each shock would mark her as his prey. And finally...each shock would cause the aura around him to flare up, extending outward, the curved blades covering him, working to push the range of the frenzied Talon swipes further and further.

And as those swipes increased in range, the shocks became less and less of a problem, dulled down by the aura more and more. He strides forward when she retreats, walking through the flames...no...shearing through them with his aura flared. And for a brief moment in the rising smoke, cutting through the flames the blades form the shape of a dragon.

No words. No taunts. No quips. No witty remarks. No. He was already going too deep into the Memory. Even with his leg shattered he was moving faster and faster, his natural speed ramping up further and further. Then it would reach the trigger point. He'd lunge forward, quickly pivoting, moving to the side and then back toward her at blinding speed. He'd care not about the shocks, the flames or even the risks to himself. Now he was closing for one thing...

A leap off a bench at high speed. The Talons brought forward as the flames triggered. The draconic bladed aura extended around him and then...wings of flame. The Dragon's Descent. He would take both of them out if he needed to.

Aiming to perform the same trick as before, she would jump backwards and form another barrier, pushing off it as the spear ramps up to higher levels, aiming to stop him for just a second as she goes to kick his nearest arm with another flame-kick.

Of course, she's not quite prepared for this. His landing strategy of all things. At his current speeds, propelled by the aura and flame it's designed to be an almost explosive kinetic impact, probably worsened by their auras meeting, mingling and then collapsing in on eachother. Her kick would meet a far greater force coming toward it, likely accomplishing the same on her as she did on him before the Descent landed...

A trail of fire and kinetic force, an impact that was explosive. They'd meet and the result would be an outward blast designed to shred stone and wood...compressing them both onto the ground and quite likely putting them both out. Him into the oblivion of nightmares that is The Memory and her into whatever this crazy angel of destruction dreamed of...

The reinforcements of her aura in her leg barely keeping it from snapping like a twig, she would be sent flying a few feet before collapsing, aura still activated as her chainmail stops the spear piercing her unconscious body. With her loss of conciousness, she would start dreaming of her video games, with Aphelion by her side in them, despite knowing how bad at using computers he is.

And Drake goes down like a rock. The last thing on his face is a smile. And the last words... "Finally...free...". The impact is destructive yet both are cushioned by the imploding auras and when the mess is clear both are out cold in the centre of a very impressive crater.

At least one of them got sweet dreams. For Drake he got pulled into the nightmares. As he passes out his hair darkens, the Talons flicker out and he lands heavily on his front. But he did not rest well at all. His unconscious state was one of torment...pain filtering through to his face...twisting the small smile into anguish as he lay there.

Alexander dares a look from behind his arms. The hair on which was singed off.
"I... Should probably get a professor."

Groaning, her aura would stop burning and return to its passive form of a blood-red colour. Dreams fading away, her brain would start rebooting in safe mode, though there would be little sign of her waking up immediately.

That was much more trouble than it was worth. Mao scratched his head. He had finally finished cleaning his room and had taken a shower and was now walking around to relax himself. The ground under him suddenly shook. Yeah...I have a bad feeling about this. He sighed and continued walking.

Eventually, Mao came upon a crater. At the center was Drake and the waitress, who he had seen before. They were still. There was also an onlooker who got mixed in standing around nearby. He walked to the center of the crater and stood over both their bodies. He began to tap at Drake's body with his foot. "Really?"

At least the smoke was settling. And with the repeated tapping of the foot Mao does eventually get a response. A heavy clink of metal as a Talon is slowly lifted and falls back down. Then Drake grunts, realising he is in rather a lot of pain around his leg...

"Mmh..."

He slowly turns his head and stops, noticing Aoife laying there as well. He really, really didn't know what to catalogue this as within his mind. A good thing? Of course you have to be really messed up in the head to class near-death experiences as a sort of good 'date'. He laughs, just a little and tries to move again with another dull clink. Nope. Not today.

"Lady...Aoife....huh...so...not a dream?"

Hearing her name as she regains conciousness, she would recognise the voice and in an instant her flames would return, burning brighter than ever. Grabbing her spear and pushing up from it, "Oh. So you can manage to barely survive a third of my strength? Considering you just performed what is likely to be your ultimate attack, rather foolish of you."

He laughs, quite clearly in a far better mood than he had been in earlier on in the day. To the point were even Mao would be taken aback. Drake was not a happy person. He was serious, dour, droll and far to knowledgable for his own good with no emotions.

Of course he tries to move and grunts a little as he realises his leg is not in a good state. But clearly he is not caring that she's trying to get up and go on another rampage. He tugs at his belt and pulls out that damned box of pocky, offering it to her with an actual genuine smile.

"Hah. Considering you found me rather drained...I enjoyed that. Here. Snack?"

Looking at her spear, she refreshes the dust supply with a new combo, red at the tip and white in the back, "You really think I will eat something with you? After you sexually assault me!?"

He could let out a frustrated sigh. But instead he shrugs, non-chalantly and decides to pull out a pocky stick with his teeth and chew it that way. She was being awfully haughty about all of this. Girls made absolutely no sense.

"Assault you? I was paying you a compliment oh fair Angel of Devastation."

At least his smile is less smug. But right now he was really rather relaxed. Really quite calm and for a change...happy. He rolls over, wincing at his leg and then sighs, looking up at her.

"Seriously though. Have you never had one of these?"

"Really, then you could of complimented me while you were ten feet away. Perverted dog." Still not taking a step forward, she eyes the box with a small smirk.

He laughs at that and shrugs, simply lying on his back, nomming the stick of pocky and then he looks to her and smiles. Yeah. He was happy. That for some reason cheered him up. She was really quite fascinating.

"Go on. It won't bite."

He grins and offers the box up again, freeing one hand from the Talons and letting the metal gauntlet fall with a dead thud. "You okay?"

Taking the box, she would step in range of him, slightly timid as she inquires, "Got another on you?"

Now this was a different approach. The more timid Aoife was also something else. He nods and with some effort frees the other hand, the other Talon falling with a dull thud and he moves to his belt, unhooking another small armoured case. He holds it up with a genuine smile and then pats the...crater next to him.

"Take a seat. And don't tell anyone. I'd hate for people to think I was anything less than a dour and miserable bastard."

He continues to nom the pocky stick, glancing about and realising there were some serious problems here. Mainly the crater.

Saying in her timid voice, "Oh, that's a shame then..." With that her timidness would drop to pure malice, in one swift movement crushing the box she has in her suddenly alight hand, fire kick going straight for his chest at maximum speed as she goes to catch him off guard.

Interesting!

He can't really move much at this particular moment in time, just enough to lay himself down flat at her sudden chest aimed kick, laughing and then just scooting himself slightly to one side with a rather awkward roll. He really did like this one!

"Now now Lady Aoife...can we at least give this a rest for a while?"

So much anger. It's like she bottled it up and just never let it out. But at this point in time he was getting perhaps a bit weary of it. He'd also burned a lot of his own energy earlier with his...outburst. And then he'd Frenzied yet again. This was getting tiresome.

"Grimm won't give you time to rest, so why should I?" Comes from Aoife, turning and walking with a slight limp away.

"Well for one...Grimm certainly are not beautiful."

He shrugs and keeps himself on his back in the crater, glancing after her. And then he gets an idea. A stupid idea but at least one that matched his personality.

"Catch!"

With that a half hearted throw of the second box of pocky before he slumps back down. And only when he thought she was gone a voice that was a bit more awkward and painful...

"Little help here....someone? Anyone?"

Turning at the yell, she would see the box throw
and go to intercept. Splitting the spear into its seperate parts, she would cut the box in half with the burning sword, both halves being incinerated as she catches the sheath with her sword, putting it on her belt before walking off again, her MP playing 'Prelude to destruction' from the Tail Fairy soundtrack out loud.
