Sunset Cliffs overlooking beach

"Well in celebration I say we go to the music room and record something!"

Aeden doesnt look very sure. "The music room? Are you sure? Cat and Tyler spend a lot of time there and I may have said some stuff to them. How about we go find Shem and Kell to tell them the good news?"

"Sure. I guess so"

Aeden holds Lucina's hand and they head to the gardens.

((A day after Broken in so Many Ways))
Indigo Sit's in a tree, looking over the cliff. In her perch she admires the sunset, fighting off sleep. As she yawns and begins to close her eyes, she feels another presence approaching. A presence she was very happy to have approaching.

Shem walks out onto the cliffs carrying a basket, sets it down and stretches his arms. Things were going good for him. Ragnarok was "behaving", he was doing well in school, havent gotten into any fights, and most of all, has the most beautiful girl in school as a girlfriend. He looks out to the sunset and smiles. He knew she was up the tree, she wasnt the best at hiding, but he didnt care, he wanted her to try to be sneaky, it was cute to him.

Indigo smiles to herself. I wonder what he's doing? Probably looking for me. Ha, good luck with that! She sniffs the air and whispers "I smell food..." She swings her body off the side of the branch, hanging by her legs upside down. "Looking for me?!" She yells with the intent of surprising Shem.

Shem turns around and smiles at her. "As a matter of fact I was. Dont startle me like that!" Shem says with his tongue sticking out in a joking manner. "I'm glad youre here." He reaches into the basket and pulls out a blanket and sets it on the ground. "I decided to have a little dinner out here. Care to join me?"

Indigo yawns and stretches a bit, still upside down she says "Are you really asking that question?" She flipped off the tree, landing on her feet before spinning around and dropping onto the blanket, cross legged. Looking inside the basket, "Let's see... OOH! Sandwiches!"

Shem sits down on the blanket as well and reaches in the basket and pulls out a water bottle. "There's other drinks in there too" He said with a smile. "So Indigo...we're, ya know, boyfriend and girlfriend now, and Im just wondering...Well I want to know more about you. Where ya from, what's your family like, anything you want to tell me." He looks into her eyes, almost lost in them.

Indigo pulls out an unknown sandwich and swallows a slice whole. "Well... I was born in Mistril kingdom, lived there for six years before we moved to Vale. My family... They're all insane, but I love them anyway."

Shem shows a half smile. He had a family, he wanted to tell her his story but didnt want to ruin the moment. "So does the rest of your family have this aura ability? Do you have any brothers and sisters? And if so, would they like me?" Shem laughs at the last question. "Sorry, I feel like Im interrogating you." He lays down on the blanket and watches the clouds float by. He looks over to Indigo. "You look so beautiful in this sunset."

Indigo smiles. "I can just pose her if you keep complimenting me." She giggles before lying beside him. "Nope. I'm the only person in my family that has extended control over my aura. Dad was ecstatic when I first flash stepped. I did it by accident of course." She tilts her head to 'rest' on Shem's shoulder. "My whole family is female, save my dad of course. They also all look like my mom, except me." She sighed a bit looked irritated. "And thanks to the tradition of the family, every Marigold female must become huntress." the last was said in a mocking voice. "Phteh."

Shem lets out a small laugh, "My dad wasnt really ecstatic when I went Ragnarok the first time. Luckly my mom was there to take care of me..." Shem's words seemed to have trailed off remembering what his real dad, Dameon, did to Marshall. He shook his head and continued. "'A little love to stop the rage' was her slogan when it came to me. I was an only child. Didnt really have friends, just me and my tools." He looked over and kissed the top of Indigo's head. "and hey, dont phteh about that, if you didnt come to Beacon, I dont know where I'd be."

Indigo hummed softly. "Well, your mom was right about that. I guess you're right, but I didn't come here to meet you. I'm glad I did, but I was put here against my will." Indigo shifted around to put her perpendicular to Shem, using his tummy as a pillow. "Come to think of it, I don't think anyone in my family really wanted to be a huntress. Except Victoria, she defiantly does. On the topic of her, keep away from her, she might kill you."

Shem pauses for a second, "Duly noted...." He reaches across his stomach and strokes Indigo's hair and rests his other hand on her hand, gently holding it. "If you didnt want to be a huntress, what would you want to be?"

Indigo takes the ring of her pony tail and undoes the braid. Her hair measures about 4 feet. "In case you didn't already know, I'm kinda garbage at fighting. This school only let me in because of my aura abilities. Go me." She lies back down on Shem, spreading her hair out. "What I really wanted to do was research aura like my dad. Unfortunately, that would be "Dishonoring my family's traditions.""

Shem runs his fingers through her soft hair. "Why dont you research aura here? I can be your guinea pig" Shem chuckles. "And Im pretty much bad at fighting too without Ragnarok."

Indigo closes her eyes, "I really wish it were that easy." She inhales through her nose, stretching out a bit. "Would you mind if I just lied here for like, twenty years or so?"

"Lay here forever if you want." Shem smiles at her. "Indigo...I...um.." Shem turns red as he studders his words. He continues stroking her hair.

"Hmm..." Indigo hummed softly, relaxing with Shem stroking her hair. Her breathing steadies and after a moment she begins making her odd hissing snore.

Shem smiles again, slowing his breath so his breathing wouldnt wake her up, and continues stroking her hair. With his other hand, he squeezes her hand tightly, but not too tight. "...Im glad youre here with me Indy..." He said to her, probably knowing she didnt hear him. He lets go of her hand, brings to fingers too his lips and kisses them and taps Indigo's lips with the same two fingers, since he cant really bend over and kiss her lips as bad as he wanted to.

Indigo shifts on her side, facing Shem. Her eyes still closed she softly says, "Sorry, you're just too comfy." She yawns and wraps her arms around his head. "What were you saying?"

Shem turns red again. "I...um..." he then whispers to himself, obviously talking to ragnarok, "need a little help here..." His eyes flash red for a second and just spits it out. "Indigo, I think I'm falling in love with you."...Shem's face turns super red and is in shock of what a certain self aware aura just made him say.

Indigo smiles like she was on top of the world. She rises from her spot and descends down onto Shem's lips, kissing him passionately. When she finally rises for air, she whispers into Shem's ear, "You think you love me? I'll just have to try harder then..." She goes back down for more of his mouth. She says in between kisses, "How... About... Now..?"

Shem smiles like he never smiled before as Indigo passionately kisses him. He holds her body close to him, with his hands on her sides. "Ok...Indigo...I LOVE YOU!" He begins to kiss her passionately back. As they kissed, the world around them disappeared. Even Ragnarok wasnt even an issue anymore while they kissed. One hand left her waist and began stroking her cheek as they continued kissing. It was just them alone on the cliffs, they didnt care. They had each other.


((FADE TO BLACK))

((Timeskip to the next morning.))

The sun rises over beacon, the young couple lay together on the grass, wrapped in the picnic blanket and each other's arms. By some divine intervention, no dew has collected on the two. Several feet away, on a rock, sits Petra Evans. Tired of waiting for the couple to wake up, she bangs on the rock, yelling "Rise and shine, sleepyheads!" The sound of her intrusion causes Indigo to jump and flash step. Unfortunatly, Indigo is caught by the tightly wrapped blanket, causing it to jump a few inches upwards.
