Sunset Cliffs overlooking beach

Shem smiles like he never smiled before as Indigo passionately kisses him. He holds her body close to him, with his hands on her sides. "Ok...Indigo...I LOVE YOU!" He begins to kiss her passionately back. As they kissed, the world around them disappeared. Even Ragnarok wasnt even an issue anymore while they kissed. One hand left her waist and began stroking her cheek as they continued kissing. It was just them alone on the cliffs, they didnt care. They had each other.


((FADE TO BLACK))

((Timeskip to the next morning.))

The sun rises over beacon, the young couple lay together on the grass, wrapped in the picnic blanket and each other's arms. By some divine intervention, no dew has collected on the two. Several feet away, on a rock, sits Petra Evans. Tired of waiting for the couple to wake up, she bangs on the rock, yelling "Rise and shine, sleepyheads!" The sound of her intrusion causes Indigo to jump and flash step. Unfortunatly, Indigo is caught by the tightly wrapped blanket, causing it to jump a few inches upwards.

Shem jumps at the sound of someone not Indigo and panics of his choice of clothes, or lack there of. Shem jumps again at Indy's emergency flashstep. "Huh!? what!?" are the only words that came out of Shems mouth.

Petra steps of her seat and begins walking slowly over to Shem and Indigo. "Ya know, I expected to find you here, Indy, but I didn't expect to find you with... Company." Indigo turns red enough to catch fire; Given her situation, catching on fire was a welcome alternative. "I'm not interupting anything, am I?" She says sarcasticly.

Shem also turns bright red. He looks at Indigo and whispers "Who's this and why is she walking towards us when we arent even clothed?!"

Indigo hides her face under the blanket and says meekly, "That... Is my sister Petra. I have no idea why she's here!" Indigo groans uncomfortably.

"S-sister?!" Shem practically yells out loud. Shem struggles to cover himself and try to get something on at least. 

Petra chuckles and sits down beside the couple. "Calm down, kid. I'm not gonna bite yer head off or nothin'. You must be..." She looks at a list. "Shem Drakur, yeah?"

Shem's voice cracks of nervousness as he replies and still covering his scared torso from view, "T-that's me." He puts on his glasses and eyes the listin Petra's hand.

"I knew something was up between you two." She stands up and pockets her list. "You two are excused for today, but I won't be so friendly next time you miss my class." She begins to walk away, back to the school. Without looking back she yells back, "Get dressed and get some breakfast, I expect you two to be on time tomorrow, ya hear?"

"Y-yes ma'am?" Shem half yells as Petra walks away. Shem rolls over to Indigo, "what does she mean by her class? Is your sister a teacher here?" He leans in and kisses Indigo's cheek.

"I- Uh... Apparently so." Indigo surveys the area to make sure the coast is clear before unrolling from the blanket, freeing herself. After sheepishly pulling on her clothes and waiting for Shem to do the same, she says awkwardly, rubbing the back of her head "I, Uhh, was really hoping to introduce you more... Formally... To the family... But, Petra will blab about us everyone else, especially this part."

Shem follows suit, putting on all his clothes and putting his hands in his labcoat pockets. "Well dang, so much for first impressions" Shem frowns. "If your dad hears of this, I sense that he is going to destroy me...and not to mention that other sister you told me about." He sighs.

Indigo begins braiding her ponytail with staggering speed. "My dad won't be a problem, but who he hears the news from will make a huge difference." Indigo ties of the end of the braid and straps on Favonius. "If he hears it from Petra, he'll hear the truth. If he hears it from Maria, he'll be told we were actually picnicing or something else romantic. Sarah will probably tell him some horror story, and Victoria... Probably won't tell dad anything."

Shem smiles and walks up behind Indigo and hugs her from behind. "As long as you dont think differently of me after that, I think I'll be fine." He kisses her cheek and lets go and looks out to the distance and stretches. "Your family sure sounds like a fun group to be around."  He looks back at Indigo, "I hope they like me". He smiles.

"Well, one down, five to go." Indigo joins his side. "Oh, I may have neglected to mention that Victoria probably won't tell anyone... Because she'll be too busy skinning you alive."

Shem gulps and his voice cracks again. "Cant wait..." He reaches over and holds Indigo's hand. "Let's introduce me to her last, ok?" Shem chuckles nervously.

Indigo leans onto him. "Just don't show fear, she can smell fear." Indigo chuckles at her own joke. "I'm kidding of course. She's really a nice gal under all that scary." She stands on her toes to try and give Shem a kiss, but fails to reach. "Agh, get down here! It's not fair that you can surprise me and I can't!"

Shem smiles at Indigo's cuteness and ducks down a little to eye level with her. "But you love heights, Indy, just climb up" Shem jokingly said.

Indigo sticks her tongue out a Shem. "Just for that..." Indigo vanishes with a puff of air and, from high up in the tree they were under, calls out "You'll have to catch me!"

"Oh no fair!" Shem laughs as he looks up at Indigo. Shem then looks at the tree and clumsily (but cutely) tries to climb the tree. About half way up there, he looks up at her, "A-almost there!" Minutes later, he gets up to the level where Indy was and climbs "gracefully" (aka not so much) over to where she was sitting and sits down next to her. Breathing kind of hard. "Well...that was fun..." He looks at Indigo and smiles.

"Hmm... I'll give you a C for execution." Indigo rubs his head. "But an A for effort" Indigo kisses him on the cheek.

Shem smiles at Indigo. He cant take his eyes off of her.  He reaches into his labcoat pocket and pulls out 2 lollipops, and offers one to Indigo. "No wonder why you like it up here." Shem says as he puts the lollipop in his mouth, "The view is amazing...as long as I dont look down of course."

Indigo pops the lollipop in her mouth. she rolls it around impatiently in her mouth. She tries pulling the stick out, to no avail. Her face turns frustrated. "How the hech do you eat thesh thingsh?"

Shem looks at Indigo quizically. "You never had a lollipop before? Just put it in your mouth and it will dissolve slowly, you dont have to chew it" Shem smiles, scoots over closer to her and wraps his arm around her waist. "I love you, Indigo Evans."

"What? Food you don't just eat?" Indigo bites down hard on the candy, shattering it and chewing contentedly. After swallowing her destroyed lollipop, Indigo drops her head to Shem's shoulder, breathing softly. "I love you too, Shem Drakur." By now, students were being let out of class, headed for their dorms or their next classes. Indigo hummed lightly, her eyes closed she whispers "Looks like time's up."

"Time's up?" Shem looked at Indigo confused. Then it hit him, the first time Indigo read Shem's aura. Something about time. Shem's eyes widen and gets nervous. "I-Indigo? Wh-what do you mean times up?" He scoots over nearly falling out of the tree.
