Field trip to Savage's Peak, day 1 [Plot, Closed]

Roy managed to avoid being speared by the spikes. Narrowly. He flopped over on his back mere inches from where the spikes came in, seconds before they actually came in. He stood, reaching into his pack and grabbing his collapsed spear to ready himself for whatever was coming.

"Geez, those things are huge."


He wasn't so impetuous as to poke one, though he did unfurl his spear and lean on it. There was no fear in his voice, just mild surprise. This was either going to turn out very fun, or very bad. Possibly both!

As the engine was shot and the airship started to ascend Kyri looked to Petra and back to her partner. It was becoming clear that not only where they under attack, their transport was about to become lunch. She rushed over to Petra.

"I agree with the others, we need to get out of here otherwise this ship is going to be destroyed by what is flying away with it right now."

Petra, back on her feet, dashed to the cockpit to fetch the pilot, but found him impaled with one of the spikes through the chest, dead. The door controls were also destroyed by the same spike."... Shit..." Petra ran back to the bridge, taking Grinning Dragon off her back and mounting it on her missing hand. She pointed the dragon's head at the door, charging a fireball. "Everyone grab a parachute an' clear the way! We're jumpin'!" No sooner then the words left Petra's mouth then the ship's hull vibrated from a thunderclap and the spikes retracted, leaving massive holes in their place, and disappearing from view as the ship began falling back to the earth. Petra quickly canceled her shot as her feet left the floor. The rapid descent was causing her, her students, and every loos object on the ship to "float" as the ground rushed up to meet them. 30 seconds to the ground.

As David inspected the spike, he looked down to see he was floating. Interesting. He looked up to see the spike gone. I wonder. "Icarus. Hands." David's wings unfolded in to a pair of giant hands. David the used them to make the hole where a spike had ben in the wall was larger. "Attention passengers please use the new emergency exit to safe your life." He then jumped out and opened his wings. "Fight mode activate."

As he felt himself flying into the air, Roi quickly hooked onto a nearby chair that had stayed on the floor. He sighs, Why didn't I see this coming... He then hears the sound of bending metal and looked toward the source. David was in the process of flying away. "Well as enjoyable as plummeting to our deaths is, I have to be going!"

Roi grabs the chair and pushes off at the hole. Roi gives a final wave at the exit. His eyes widen. I forgot a parachute... With that, Roi starts to fall again, but this time, outside the ship.

"Oh...this is...pleasant." His voice holds no humour as he floats upward for a moment, quickly pulling himself back down to sling the case over his shoulder as she looks to those already departing. After a pause he grins...a manic grin. What would come next would be something of his signature it would seem...

He darts forward with that moment on the deck, kicking off into the air, sans parachute as he brings the talons around. For a moment the air about him shimmers as his focuses, making the most of the seconds of freefall before bringing the Talons forward, flickering blades following the movement of his arms. He guns the fuel of the flamethrowers for a few seconds more and with time to spare ignites hit, causing a whoosh of flame and a back draft as the wings of the Dragon's Descent kick in and he starts to direct his fall with a more careful manner...
