Robin Vimana, David Maloney

As you walk up to the entrance of the maze that your team was assigned, you notice that this area seems much more dry than the rest of the cave. Indeed, with the dryness you are granted a small reprieve from the amount of darkness you were subjected to earlier, though the smell of rotting fish and sulfur is very prevalent here. Your visibility seems decent enough that the lantern hanging slightly above the entrance might actually have some use in your tunnel.

Peering in to the dimness ahead of you, the route seems fairly straightforward. As the clock counts down to signal the start of the initiation, you hear the faint sound of something digging. Once you walk forward a bit, your path options will be left or right.

Robin Vimana walked up to the tunnel entrance, trying to stifle her growing dread. Looking around, she noted the lantern placed above the entrance. "Okay, that could help." She said, wondering how to get it. Turning to her partner, she asked:"Do you have anything that can get that?" Robin pointed to the lantern.

David looked up at the lantern. "Sure, Icarus online." Icarus's wings folded out of his back-pack. "Icarus grab the lantern." David's wings folded into a pair of giant hands. Icarus reached up and grabbed the lantern. "Here you go." He said has he handed her the lantern.

Robin balked at the extending wings, but shook her head as she took the lantern, "Come on, let's go." She said, walking into the tunnel and coming to the injunction. Looking to the left and right, she scratched the back of her head, "Which way?"

David looked down each. David hated choices. He then got an idea. "I have an idea, If they way out has air flow then..." He said has he pulled out a match. "...we should be able to see the way the air is coming out." David lit the match and saw it was blowing from the right. "If I had to guess, I would say we go right. It your call though."

Robin nodded, "Alright, Right it is." She turned and began walking down that pathway.

David followed behind keeping an eye on the back. 'Oh wait.' David turned his heads up display on. He was relived he could see behind him. "So tell me about your self." David was just trying to pass the time. He hated being in caves or any dark places.

As the students continue walking to the right, they very quickly come across a dead end. Having no other option, they turn around.

As they begin walking back the way they came, something extremely quick flies overhead, ignoring them for the moment.

Robin ducked on reflex, "Uh, we'd better hurry up..." She muttered, speeding up and drawing one of Vera Volare.

David ducked as well. "Targeting systems active." He tracked the creature for a couple of seconds before taking one shot directly at it.

The creature had quickly ducked in to a hole in the ceiling before the shot could land, disappearing for the time being

The students come back to the original crossroads, with their options being forward or to the right this time.

Robin grabbed David's arm and continued pulling him along the path, "Come on." Her dread replaced with annoyance. Passing the crossroad, she pulled David onto the straight path.

David continued to keep an eye out as he ran down the tunnel. "What kind of thing was that?" He said as he was running behind her.

As the students head to the path straight ahead of them, they begin to hear something slithering against the walls of the cave, perhaps on the opposite side of the walls from the students. For now, they can carry on forwards... but they can tell there will be fighting soon.

"I don't...Do you hear that?" Robin asked, coming to a stop. Drawing her other sword, Robin took a cautious look around.

David said listening carefully as they made their way down the tunnel. David looked at the wall near him. "Careful I hear somthing the walls." As he said this he readied his hand cannon.

Suddenly, a total of 8 Salabinders arrive through some of the holes in the caverns, surrounding the students. There is one on each wall, including one being on the ceiling, and another 5 scattered across the floor around the students. None of the beings in the cave have much mobility, and that could prove to be a massive problem in the upcoming fight.

You quickly recall that the Salabinders have adhesive blood, and make a note to try to avoid fighting them anywhere close range.

"Uh-oh...." Robin said, then latched together Vera Volare to form a a bow, "Back up back up." She said, pushing back against David.

David did his best to stay back, but looked up to see one coming through the ceiling. He pulled Robin backwards so as it fell from the ceiling.

As the Salabinder falls on top of the students and starts attempting to bite them, the other ones move in on the extremely easy prey. Three total bites head towards the students, mostly aiming for the arms or legs. There is one biting at David's right leg, another at his left arm, and the third is attempting to bite Robin's left leg.

David saw on lunge for his arm and put his right arm out. Icarus put its wings down by his legs. "There's too many!" He screamed. "Icarus target all of them!" Icarus targeted all of them. "Firing now." David opened fire on the salamanders around him.

Robin jumped back as the Salabinder tired to bite her leg. Then her eyes widened as David's weapon..backpack...thing, began shooting wildly.

As the bullets from Icarus start peppering the Salabinders, their adhesive blood sprays all over the cave, including the students. This could pose a problem... except for that fact that the remaining five Salabinders no longer seem interested in the students, now that they're covered in blood. Interesting tidbit.

"Nice job." Robin said sarcastically, "You do know that this stuff is adhesive right?" She said, trying ignore the sticky stuff that clung to her leg.

David felt so stupid. "Gee, you don't say. Listen I can tell you don't like me, but we are stuck together"(ooc not a pun.) David's wings folded up raveling he had no blood on his legs. "I'm have no good weapons, for close range in this confined space so get off my back." 'Release me.' David could hear the voice growing. 'I can't let him get out. I need to keep him under control.' David was worried he had to keep calm or else his dark side would get out.
