Academy Infirmary

"I'll answer this with a gesture."

Kaitlyn leans to Shem and kisses him passionately.

Ron looks back and says to Shem. "No problem, what are friends for?"

Shem kisses back. Slowly drifting off to sleep due to fatigue. Breaking the kiss, Shem says "Get some sleep, I'll see you in the morning...."

Upon hearing someone speak to her, she looks up from her burn and notices the boy standing there.

"Oh, uh... Hi.  My name is Isabelle."

"Hey Isabelle, my name's Ron. Nice to meet you." he says to her. Then looking at her burn, "What happened to your leg?"

Jet walks in a bit slowly, leaning on Paladin. "Hey, how's Shem? He doing ok?"

El Taladro crashes through the door, looking with sadness at his hands. "Uprooting trees with your bare hands is hand because you get splinters..." He grumbles to himself. Upon entering, he sees the large group of people and looks questioningly around.

"Love ya, Shem."

With that, Kaitlyn walks into the hall, sees Aeden and Lucina together and starts nudging Aeden and says

"You gonna tell her or what?"

She then starts snickering.

She shrugs, trying not to make it seem like a big deal.

"I was in the arena and, uh... I got hit by a fireball.

"There's a freaking arena!" Ron exclaims in surprise. "I really need to find my way around this place."

((Jet, Shem's fine, hes unconcious though, regaining strength))

Isabelle smiles, amused at how surprised he is.

"Yep.  I normally just sit there and watch the other students battling, it helps me learn.  But someone challenged me to a duel, and being an idiot I accepted it.  Now I've got an injured leg the day before initiation."

"I think you will be fine when it's time for initiation, besides the medics in this school have to be good, otherwise I would think they would have closed the arena today." Ron says, trying to keep her on the bright side.

Isabelle ponders this for a moment, before nodding.

"I suppose you're right.  I'm just worried that I might not be in top shape tomorrow.

"You're probably better off than Shem." Ron says pointing to Shem across the room. "Anyways, what's your weapon?" Ron asks his go to question when he doesn't know what to say.

Isabelle looks over to Shem, before hearing his second question and removing the sheathed swords from her back.

"Just a couple of swords. Nothing spectacular, but they do the job."

Surprised to see someone with the same style weapon as him, Ron is lost in thought for a moment. He realizes he is staring at the swords, and chooses this time to get out his weapons. "Same, this is Cupiditas and Mânie." He says.

Examining them closely, Isabelle looks at the swords with wide eyes.

"Did you make these yourself?"

"Yeah." Ron says non-nonchalantly. Why is everyone so impressed with these, they're just swords. He puts them back in their sheathes as he says grumpily, "That was a long couple of days. Why did you make yours?"

Isabelle pulls one of her swords out of the sheath and inspects it.

"Yup, made them by myself back at Signal.  Wasn't easy, but it was worth it."

"It was nice having that feeling of accomplishment afterwards, right?" Ron asks, now starting to relate to someone.

Isabelle nods in agreement.

"Yes, hard work is always rewarding in the end."

She smiles as talking about the crafting of her swords brings back fond memories.

Kaytlin walks into the infirmary and kicks off her heels next to Shem's bed.

She hops in the bed and snuggles next to him and falls asleep

Seeing as Ron has run out of conversation topics he decides to leave as nicely as he can. "Well, sorry to leave you alone with them." He says pointing to the sleeping lumps that are Kaitlyn and Shem. "But I need to go find a place to sleep. Good luck at Initiation tomorrow; you'll do fine." He says without any worry.

Shem unconciously turns to his side, putting his head on her chest and wrapping his arm across her waist.

Isabelle waves to him, but her eyes stay inspecting her sword.

"Thanks, Ron. I'll see you later."

Kaitlyn unconsciously kisses him gently on the lips... then she
