Dr. Steinmetz's Annual Open House [Open]

Melissa tilted her head more than usual, at an angle usually reserved for when people did weird things. Though this did count. Without hesitation or embarrassment, she replied.

"Hmm.. Not interested. At all." She said, though she said so with a smile, making the words seem confusing.

Shard punches Inigo in the shoulder as hard as he can
"You could not be more of a pain in the ass. And be thankful it wasn't your face"

Markus, being new to Beacon, was not informed about this event, and spent much of his time wandering around campus. He appeared late, and, with no friends to talk to, he merely walked around the room, and this being his first time here, was intrigued at all the inventions and machinations on display. Maybe this man could help him remember his past... But Markus decided it was time to leave, as people were giving him strange looks, and he could hear them muttering about his gauntlet. As he prepared to leave, something caught his eye...

Expecting a punch Inigo slips it and spins around to Shard's other side.

"Aww, it looks like she's not interested, buddy"

"But fret not! Women are complex creatures. You must pursue them with all your being, and then they will come to you!"

"Show her your drive!"

Shard was teetering on the edge of how much he could hold back snapping, and it was showing on his body. He was snarling, and his body was shaking with rage.
"I am warning you now, if you continue this BS, I may snap and attack anyone and everyone. That wouldn't be too good for business, now would it?"

Markus approaches Shard. "Hey, calm down, Let's all sort this out", little did he know the chaos that sentence would unleash.

Melissa, getting bored with standing around, decided to join Inigo in taunting Grumpy Boy. It would be funny to see him snap.

"Welll... If you try reaaallllly hard...." She said, striking a 'seductive' pose, although she couldn't hold it for long before descending into giggling.

Shard interrupted the newcomer mid-sentence with a punch in the face.
He then turned around and literally growled at Melissa
His "feral meter" was at 99/100

Markus couldn't take it anymore.
"WOULD EVERYONE JUST SHUT UP! THIS IS MY FIRST DAY HERE AND I'D LIKE A NICE, QUIET TIME! IT DOESN'T HELP ARRIVING HALFWAY THROUGH THE SCHOOL YEAR, BUT EVERYONE THINKS I'M A FREAK AND NO-ONE WILL EVEN TALK TO ME! SO CAN WE ALL JUST BE QUIET AND SORT THIS OUT FOR 5 MINUTES??!!??!"
As he cooled down, he noticed quite a few people where staring at him, and there was a VERY awkward silence.
"Um..." Markus stuttered.

"Sorry... I'm not into bestiality... Nor am I a masochist. You'll have to try harder." Melissa said, continuing to taunt Shard."

Shard snapped. No longer aware of his surroundings, everyone in sight was an enemy.
Shard dropped onto his hands and swung his feet at Marcus' ankles. He rolled backwards, jumped up and took a swing at Melissa while drawing Shrapnel to take a swing at Inigo

"Target has entered critical mode, I repeat target has entered critical mode, requesting permission for take down"

"Roger that, permission for take down granted"

"Roger, subduing target"

Three guards from surrounding bushes pop out and aim at Shard. They fire 3 rounds each directly at him.

((The first round is similar to the paralyzing bolt from the Armbrust and the second and third rounds are similar to the sticky bolts. Stun, sticky, sticky.))

Shard (By pure coincidence) dodges bolt 1 and 2, but gets his legs stuck to the ground by bolt 3.
The feral Shard starts slashing at his legs trying to free them. He does so, but due to his state, didn't hold too much back and took a sizable chunk of flesh off each leg. However, Feral Shard doesn't appear to care too much. Seeing the closest person (uni-identifiable to Shard. Could be anyone), he makes a dash and slashes with Shrapnel.

2 more guards show up and all 5 begin firing at will at Shard.

A mix of stun, gravity, and sticky rounds fly at him.

Raising an eyebrow at Grumpy Boy going crazy, Melissa carefully sidestepped his attack, feeling his strike whoosh right past her with what would probably be a very painful hit.

She prepared to dodge a follow up hit, but by then Grumpy Boy had already moved on to attacking someone else.

Markus went over the edge. A blue-electric field started to appear around his body, and he was levitated from the ground. His eyes glazed over and he began screaming like an animal, he dropped to the ground and his gauntlet started firing off bolts of lightning randomly, 2 of the guards and Shard were all hit, being flung backwards, but then the electrical field dimmed, and he slumped to the ground, unconscious.

Inigo was very familiar with Feral Shard but instead of trying to dodge his swing, he activated his Pesado Muito and blocked it with a kick.

He noticed the guards, so he figured a block would hold Shard in place long enough for them to subdue him.

The stun bolts hit Shard's leading arm, and he drops Shrapnel.
Only one sticky round hits, sticking his arms to his side, but this does not stop his charge.
Feeling the pull of the gravity bolt, Shard dives and bites into a table leg. A comical sight ensues, as Shard, now horizontal, was hanging onto a table with his mouth.
Marcus' shots hit Shard, dissipating the sticky gel binding his arms. Shard grabs knives from the table and plunges them into the ground, using them to pull himself out of the range of the gravity bolt. He picks himself up and once again charges the closest person.

Markus awoke, to see Feral shard charging at him at full-speed. He tried to roll out of the way, but they both collided in a heap. Markus was barely awake at the time and the collision knocked him out once more. Fortunately, his gauntlet was still electrified, but Shard was still on top of him.

"What? Are you guys still having trouble with this kid?" ((The guard on the radio from before granting permission for take-down))

A short man wearing a guard uniform wielding a...shovel(?) appeared out of one of the towers on the estate in the courtyard.

"Let me handle this"

He gets to about 10 yards away from Shard and jams his spade into the ground. With a twist of his wrist, the ground underneath Shard and Markus begins to shake until Shard is shot up into the air landing in the center of the courtyard.

He then turns to Shard

"Let's dance!"

The short man grabs Shard's Shrapnel Shifter and throws it over to him

The mini-earthquake awoke Markus one last time. He doggedly crawled off the estate, and made it to a local pharmacy to get patched up, then, he journeyed back to Beacon, where he got to his dorm, and finally got some rest.
"Maybe making friends can wait 'till tomorrow" he murmured, before drifting off...

Shard stands up and throws his knives at the man.
He sees the familiar weapon and grabs it.
He activates its ability, and pelts the man with every sharp object Shrapnel can grab, making what would look like a rain of arrows... except forks and knives

The short man spins his shovel, deflecting the knives into the dirt. Then spins it over his head, doing the same to the incoming rain of cutlery.

There is no one in-between the two, so Shard's attacks slice the air.

The short man gives and assumes a fencer's stance with the shovel in the left hand. He lifts his shovel to block, stopping Shard's massive swing. The pressure from the blow is strong enough to visibly kick up dust from underneath the man, but he doesn't flinch.

Finally getting her stuff together and enough strength to not crash on the way back, she runs towards Inigo, a subtle smile at the attacks against Shard, she would say, "Thanks by the way, got to run."

With that she retreats out the open house, the sound of rubber being killed as she speeds off on her bike.

Shard, now crossing swords with this man, lunges forward, knocking both of them to the floor.

Before hitting the ground, the man jams his shovel into the ground and spins around, landing on his feet, 10 feet away.

"You big guys are all the same, so clumsy", taunting Shard, chuckling.

Shard hears, but doesn't comprehend shovel man's words.
He jams Shrapnel into the ground and uses it to flip himself to his feet before hitting the ground.
He starts spinning, Shrapnel extended. He gets faster and faster, until he is just a blur. He activates Shrapnel, and tilts himself slightly so that each rotation has Shrapnel make contact with the ground, send a constant stream of rock flying towards shovel man.
