A Tour of Avernus 'Matter' Corp.: Vale Branch [Open]

Violet tries to slide under it but the shades slam shut and she rams her foot into the door"O-Ow ow ow ow" She says as she is holding her foot

Emerald pulls her up and asks,"Are you alright?"

Violet gets helped up and brushes herself off "Why wouldn't I be, a door can't beat me" She says as she is limping off of her right foot.

Jakob started looking around and feeling the shades. "Maybe if we took a jar of matter, and mixed it with fire dust..." He started saying. "Think that'll work?" He said facing his team members.

Violet gasps and notices she still had the plasma ball on a matter jar "LET'S BLOW IT UP"

Emerald nodded her head in agreement and started to back away from the shades until she was sure she was in a safe zone.

Looks at Emerald with a smirk "Might wanna back up a bit more" She sticks the orb to the door and runs away laughing. She vaults behind the front desk

OOC: Front disk? Well, that's nice.

IC:

And then Violet stared at the other person who stood behind the front desk. And before she could even react, Riley lunged forwards with a hook to the side of her head, punctuated with his aura's energies focused and ready to be unleashed in his fist.

Emerald grabbed Jakob and followed after Violet when she heard a audible 'Thump'.

Jakob noticed the strange man attacking Violet and proceeded to lunge at him, ramming into him knocking him off his teammate, pulling out his weapon, expanding it.

Looking at the commotion, Carolynn raised the Crutchshot and fired a warning shot at the group before switching it into a gatling gun.

"Don't take the cripple lightly." she said through her teeth, aiming at them.

[[Inside the facility]]

As the two parties confront each other inside the facility, the cameras still remain functional but a strange blinking red light was flashing at its side. There was no one in the control room during that time but the cameras followed their every movement.

[[Somewhere far from the facility]]

A third party was watching their every move.

"Well this is rather surprising. I wouldn't expect a familiar face among the group here. Ms. Carolynn Vondrow, a major stockholder of the company and also a well known wizard when it comes to the realm of business...", he says as he reads a list of the profile of his stockholders.

Though, it seems she isn't the one in control in this situation and neither is the infamous Franklin.

He then notices the other person who had just attacked one of the Beacon students. Though throughout the current situation, that man kept his composure and he could sense charisma from him even though it was just a feedback from a monitor.

He then contacts one of the drivers in the van.

"Elites, it seems we have some valued guests within the premises of the facility. I'd like to have a talk with them so you no longer need to engage them"

"Yes, sir"

"Also, it seems that we have a few Beacon students who are inside as well. Pick up the pace. We need to make sure that they are still alive and are to be safely escorted out of the facility. We don't want an institution that is closely connected with the government to start questioning us about some troublesome matters."

"Yes, sir"

The van then increased its speed. Estimated time of arrival is 8 minutes.

Emerald pulled out her bow and started taking aim at the cripple.

Violet stands up, holding her head, she is a little dizzy, and looks at her with Emerald"Really? You are really gonna aim that at me?"Violet lifts up her fist and ejects the empty dust vial and it shatters on the ground. She loads a ice vial into it and the glove starts to glow again.

Jakob started backing up as he pressed the green button on his weapon, turning it into a spear. He put his left thumb into the air and aimed directly at the attacker. "Your move."

OOC: Does the ice dust let you shoot...ice?

IC:

Riley looked around, shaping the situation within his mind. While he was sure that he could fight it out, he wasn't sure Carol could, and that meant he couldn't risk it. Keeping one hand sprayed out towards Violet's glove, which he could tell was her weapon, he turned towards Jakob and Emerald.

"It seems....we are at a misunderstanding." His voice boomed, echoing through the empty hallway. Riley kept his voice up, confident. In control - that was what he needed to sound like in front of these mediocre trouble do-ers. "You want to get out. We want the things you've hidden. This should be a simple fix."

(OOC:No, the gloves convert dust into purple, explosive plasma balls that Violet can lob)

Violet still in fighting stance, looks confused at Riley, "Fix? What might that be"

(OOC: BTW, there is still a matter bomb on the door that hasn't detonated)

Jakob stayed silent, aiming at Riley

Emerald was just as confused, but did not remove her aim in fear of losing control in this situation.

OOC: I don't think that the matter jar is a bomb. Matter becomes explosive by being an addition to fire dust, but to do that you'd have to carefully apply the dust to ensure the dust doesn't combust. Previously, you threw a red dust crystal and blew it up, right? I would assume that that leaves no trace of red dust at all, to be able to mix with the matter.

IC:

"Aye. You give us whatever you stole from Avernus Corp. We let you leave."

Despite being the one with weapons pointed at, Riley sounded like he was the one threatening - a threat masked beneath a facade of mercy.

"Yeah? What about those other blokes? The ones who ran off with hundreds. You ain't worried 'bout those guys?" Jakob said, furrowing his brows.

IC:

"No."

And that was that.

"No?" Jakob mocked Riley. "You're more worried over maybe 3 jars, instead of hundreds. No, even Thoughands of jars missing. Do you know what they could do? And you just want to track down 3 kids?"

Violet pulls out a small music player and starts playing , https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fZ2f6lFH5cg , then she says "You are ghosties, and I shall laugh at you" She then forces out a chuckle

IC:

"Yes."

And then that, too, was that.

Jakob kept staring at Riley. "Are you willing to bargain something? I really don't know what's so wrong with what we're doing."

OOC: Oh no....a flaw in the system!

IC:

Riley frowned. Don't really know what's wrong with that they're doing? Really? Something here was being stupid - Some[i]one[/i] here was being stupid. And it sure as heck ain't Riley, who quickly vaulted over the desk to stare Jakob in the face.

"Don't know what's so wrong?"

This standoff was getting really, really annoying. This was supposed to be a simple question and answer, but the 'hospitality' he offered was being returned by: 1. Mocking 2. Apparent Stupidity 3. "B-b-but what about those guys?" Sure, Riley hadn't explained everything, but should these people really have to [i]lack[/i] in common sense?

Riley took a step forwards; now, he was really up close. Whether Jakob stood back or not now depended on his sexuality or his idiocy. Or perhaps both. Riley brought his hand up, pressing it against the boy's chest.

"You came into a factory, with the intention of theft. And during this time, attempted murder. You look 17 or 18, and you're most probably a student somewhere, judging by the idiotic way you dress with your stupid suspenders, since obviously all the girls would be crooning for you to take your pants off. Yes, I have a bargain for you. Here's the deal: We get the jars you have. In exchange, you leave safely."
