Journey To The Tower of Grimm [PLOT]

The two figures separate, darting in two different directions while firing shots at Ron.

When Ron releases Caihn, he springs to his feet, dropping into a combat stance. He swings the Flute in a wide arc in the general direction of the enemies, simultaneously forming his aura-blade and sending a flurry of energy needles towards the area between Ron and the leftmost figure, hoping the storm of projectiles will neutralize the shots from the enemy, thus leaving Ron with just half the bullets left to dodge. He then dashes forward, swinging his aura-blade at the opponent on the left.

Ron uses his semblance to run at high speed out of the way of the shots. Having heard the aura projectiles cutting through the air, he runs to the right figure, swing Mânie in a right-down diagonal strike.

Ron's attack is blocked with the figure's cutlass, the edge of the sword meeting your weapon. Suddenly from the folds of the figure's cloak, the barrel of a gun emerges and a shot rings out, the bullet seeking Ron's chest.

The figures sprints backwards to avoid Caihn's blade. The barrel of a gun emerges from the folds of his cloak and two shots ring out. The bullets seek the aura blade. If the shots hit the blade the aura will disperse into nothing just like during the incident with the white haired man.

Caihn spots the angle that the gun barrels are aimed, and discerns that the figure is aiming for his weapon. When the figure fires, Caihn retracts his aura from the flute, dispelling the blade, allowing the bullets to pass through the space where the blade was seconds before. He then dashes forward again, swinging the flute like the blade was still there, while re-channeling his aura back into the flute. The aura-blade re-forms as Caihn brings the flute in a slash across the figures body.

As Caihn goes in his his strike, the figure brings the blade of his cutlass up blocking the blade with the edge. The barrel of the gun emerges from the folds of the cloak again but this time it points at Caihn's head. The gun is fired.

Aeden heard the explosion but had been too distracted by the comfort of the bed to notice Tsuteto, Ron, and Caihn jump out the window. When he finally comes to his sense he notices he and Chiu are the only ones left in the room and heads toward the window. "Bad move on my part, definitely can't blame that one on the alcohol. Come on Chiu we can't be late." Aeden leaps out the window and heads in the direction of the explosion. When he arrives at the scene he chooses a rooftop nearby where he sees Cheshire, Tsuteto, Ron, and Caihn each in their own respective predicaments. "I should have got here sooner." Aeden draws Deception X and Frost Fang forming Frost Fang in its revolver mode he heads down to Ron and Caihn remembering his training and not making a sound while hiding in the shadow. He manages to see the cloaked figure is about to shoot Caihn, Aeden quickly aims Frost Fang and fires ice dust in between Caihn and the figure hoping to making a suitable wall to offers some protection to Caihn.

As fast as his semblance allowed Ron pulls out Cupiditas and ricochets the bullet into a wall. "Shouldn't have done that." he snarls at the figure. Ron activates his semblance again and disappears in a blur. He reappears behind the figure swinging his swords across the figure's back, not trying to fatally wound, but to remove the cloak.

The moment Aeden raised his revolver, the cloaked figure turns its body, keeping his cutlass against Caihn's blade during his rotation. The figure fires several shots at Aeden. Somehow despite Aeden's soundless stealth, the person knew he was there. The shots hit Aeden's own and they counter each other. The figure takes another shot, the bullet aiming for Aeden's chest.

Meanwhile Ron's maneuver was too sudden and fast for his opponent to react in his current position. Your weapon manages to snag the ragged cloak of the figure and you remove it effortlessly.

One of the arms that was attached to a revolver raises up and aims at Ron, taking a shot at his chest.

"Robotics, huh?" Tsuteto questioned, watching the fight, having chosen to sit down at some point on a jutted beam in the ground. It was kind of a helpless situation for him, as if he was to jump in, it'd just be fuel to the fire with the old man ready to intercept. "Part of the main crew when you go raiding that manor?" He was hoping Chiu wouldn't come at this point, as it'd just be even more of a mess with all that happening, giving their styles and tactics away. The more the fought now, the less likely they were to have any sort of upper hand in the real fights to come.

Looking towards the alleyway, he decided to take a moment to see how Cheshire was doing. The three there would have things under control enough, but the gatherer certainly seemed to have his hands full with this Billy fellow.

"Robots are too unreliable," the old man mumbles. He doesn't seem to want to say much else.

Cheshire is still dodging his opponent's shots, this time trying to stick to the ground to at least avoid collateral damage. His opponent's shot seem more hasty then before. He apparently began to grow impatient from the time consuming fight.

"HOLD STILL YOU OVERGROWN HOUSE CAT!" a voice is heard in the alley. It was the voice belonging to the handsome young blonde man from the pub who called himself Billy.

Ron having taken the swing while sprinting sideways passed the robot, he had already past a few feet away from the robot when it shot the revolver. "Robots, huh. Well at least we know what we're up against." he says but thinks It's a good thing I've been practicing cutting metal, this could be really quick. Wait, maybe I can avoid showing that skill just yet and just destroy their artificial intelligence. He puts away his swords during his run.

He runs to one of the craters generated from Cheshire's fight and grabs a chunk of concrete. As soon as he got there he runs straight to the back of the exposed robot. He uses the robot's sword arm to hold himself up and keep the robot from swinging it at him. Ron then starts to bash the robot's head with the concrete, hoping the intelligence for functioning was there.

Slamming the concrete repeatedly on its head, all you manage to produce was a hollow clang and a small dent. One of the smaller arms holding the revolver presses the barrel against your stomach and the robot shoots.

When the gun barrel points at Caihn's face, he retracts his aura once again, and then sends it out the other end of his flute, while rotating it so that the blade that forms will be between the barrel of the gun and him. The newly formed blade shatters on the bullet's impact, the remaining aura retracting back into the flute, and the force of the shot knocks Caihn backwards, and away from the figure. Caihn carries the momentum even further backwards, before stopping, regaining his balance and swinging the flute in a complicated combo of movements that make it seem like he is dueling an invisible enemy, but with every swing, a group of energy needles appear and shoot towards the figure, aiming mainly around the midriff where the gun is firing from.

Caihn can here rapid clangs as his needles hit their target. The figures appears shaken for a while but quickly recovers. It darts forward towards Caihn with the cutlass raised for a strong diagonal swing.

Aeden sees as the man pointed the gun at him and thinks, Something's not right. As the man fires the gun Aeden pivots on his right foot, it is enough for the bullet that comes to not bring him any harm. The bullet grazes past him skidding across his hidden armor. Still turned sideways Aeden fires Deception X's main blade in the opponent's direction ,as it moves toward Caihn, sinking into a part of the roof next to the opponent. He retracts the blade and comes in at a high speed toward the opponent and levels Frost Fang with the opponent's neck hoping the speed and will be enough to severe its head.

The figure stops its strike at Caihn and jolts back avoiding the blade of Aeden's Deception X, the cable zipping pass its face harmlessly. As Aeden approaches the figure and goes in for a swing it ducks but your weapon snags the hood of its cloak and tears it off as the figure dodges revealing the metallic round head of another strange mechanical being. Two gun barrels emerge from the folds of its cloak, one pointed at Caihn while the other points at Aeden. Two shots ring out from both guns while the figure remains crouched.

Ron immediately drops the concrete and slams his arm down on the gun to make it point to the ground when it shoots. Getting another idea he proceeds to try and take the revolver out of the robots hand, making sure it doesn't stop pointing at the ground.

Ron pull at the revolver but it remains fixed in place. Suddenly, his opponent's face splits in half, opening up to reveal the barrel of a gun. It shoots, aiming for Ron's head.

Ron sees the robots head splitting open as soon as the crack is just a bit wider he can tell there is a gun in there. He pushes to the side using both his semblance and the robot's stability to get away.

Well I guess their main 'brain' isn't in their head. My next guess is it's in the torso, but I'm sure that metal is more thick than that head. Looks like I'm gonna have to resort to cutting it up.

He pulls out Mânie and sprints back to the robot. As he ran by he sliced at the hinge of the smaller arm with the revolver in it. Once he's ten meters past the robot after his semblance imbued run, he turns around to see if it worked.

The joint appears severely damaged. and falls off landing to the ground. The mechanical soldier spins around raising its other pistol arm and the hand that held the cutlass flintlock. It starts shooting at Ron with both.

Caihn repeatedly stabs the flute like it is the hilt of an invisible rapier, countering the shots with another barrage of needles, before crouching down and bringing the flute to his lips. He starts to play, forming an energy orb, that he sends sailing high into the air before bringing it rocketing down towards the robotic head of their enemy. By the time it hits, another orb will have formed, and Caihn sends this one towards the robot at a low angle, hugging the floor before launching up, aiming for the robot's chest, where the guns are be attached to the robot's torso.

The robot's face opens from the middle revealing the barrel of a gun. A shot rings out from it and the first orb disperses into nothing. One of the robot's other pistols shoot at the second orb doing the same in rapid succession. It's flintlock-cutlass points at Aeden now, several shots ringing out.

Ron dodges to the side with his semblance and thinks, Okay. Now the other small arm. He sprints past the other side of the robot and aims a slice through the hinge of it's smaller arm. Again, he turns around once ten meters away and looks at what he did.

It appears the mech has grown used to Ron's movements already. It twisted its body away avoiding Ron's weapon in the split second the action took. The robot's face opens again and starts shooting at Ron with all three of its guns.

Aeden lands from his missed attack and mangaes to keep some of the momentum by immediatley running after landing. Aeden looks toward the opponent as it points a weapon at him and dives out of the way from its attack. He gets back up and looks at the opponent to see its a robot. "What. The. Hell!" Aeden draws Frost Fang and shoot fire dust at the opponent while channeling lightning dust through Deception X. "Why the hell are we fighting robots!"

Ron dodges the bullets and runs into an alley. Looks like I'm going to have to start tricking the robot, he thinks. He takes out Cupiditas and uses his semblance to run to the side of the robot opposite the arms with guns, but instead of swinging he runs around in a circle around the robot in case it turns again, and swings with one of the swords at the hing of the small arm that is left.
