Reforging Old Bonds [TWTWB]

Sunday morning the perfect day for a family to spend time together, that was exactly the thought in mind when the Kase family left their home. After a small trip they were back in the city of Vale. The family walked next to each other Aeden and Lucina in the middle, Lucina holding onto Aeden's arm. Next to them were their children Marshall to Aeden's right and Arryn to Lucina's left. They had no real plans in mind it was more a stroll through town and to do anything that caught their eye. "I knew today would be a great day to come into town. The weather's perfect, the streets are peaceful, and I'm with the people I love most."

"Dad do you have to be so cheesey?" Marshall seemed to be embarrassed but he actually loved how open his father was. He tried looking up to his father but his eyes caught sight of his mother ending his good mood. "Well I could think of something that could be better." Marshall gave no hint of what he referred to and Aeden failed to notice the remark.

Lucina took in a deep breath and looked over at Aeden trying to avoid eye contact with Marshall. She looked down at Arryn and asked her. "So,how did you enjoy the trip dear?"Arryn looked up at her mom and smiled brightly saying. "It was...fun!"As they continued to still down the street Lucina began to feel hot so she took beautiful sun hat given to her by her mother and put it on fixing her hair so it would still look good.

Over the in the distance a tall figure in thick clothes and wearing a gas mask could be seen walking down the same street as Aeden and Lucina were but in the opposite direction. He stood straight with a puffed chest to show off just how large he was compared to the normal person while a brutal looking buzzsaw handing carelessly from the mans belt  as blood dripped from the blade. Whether it was a humans or grimm...it was impossible to tell. Although you could not see the mans eyes through the tinted eye-holes of the mask it was obvious he was sizing everyone up and staring daggers into their souls. It was as if the man was ready to attack at any moment. He continued to walk toward Lucina and Aeden as he had not noticed them yet as his dirty combat boots hit the ground over and over again.

Arryn noticed something in the distance and upon getting closer it looked to be a very tall guy wearing what looked to be a gas mask. Arryn hid herself behind Lucina grabbing at her skirt. She begin to softly sob as she noticed a bloody chainsaw attached to his belt. "W-W-Why....who..."

Aeden's face suddenly lost any trace of a smile he previously had. He ears twitched a bit as he could hear the soft sobs of his daughter from behind her mother. Aeden quickly scanned the area for what might of caused it and saw the menacing figure. A scowl appears on Aeden's face as he hurriedly stepped toward the figure. He was just about eye level when he grabbed the man's throat. When Aeden spoke he voice seemed to be laced with venom. "You just made my daughter cry." Aeden reaches for his sword. "I don't like that."

Marshall could only stand in awe as his father approached the man. Dad is so cool. Snapping out of his trance Marshall quickly stepped over to Arryn and pulled out Deception ready to protect his little sister, not that he would need to considering his father was there.

The figure stared into Aeden's soul. Even without not being able to see the mans face or eyes you could tell by the way he twitched occasionally he was about to snap. The blood on the buzz saw continued to drop from the weapon and was beginning to form a small puddle as his feet. The man showed no signs of fear at his current situation. In his mind it didn’t matter he would slaughter them like he did to the grimm. He was about to make a moment to grab the buzz saw before the figure ceased all movement for a moment and froze. After a long pause he relaxed and showed no more signs of possible outbursts of violence. "...Aeden?..." His voice was raspy and  did grind at peoples ears even while it was muffled through the gas mask the man wore. He waited in silence as if he expected to be recognized.

Lucina looked as Aeden was getting into another fight. She looked at Marshall as he watched in anticipation and she held Arryn close to her as she watched Aeden confront the 'weird guy'.

Aeden eyebrow twitched in surprise. He let go of the man's throat and pushed him back following by drawing his sword. "How do you know my name?" Aeden took a defensive stance ready to protect his family. "I haven't made many enemies in my life. Now who are you?"

The man did not resist the shove and still showed no fear as Aeden seemed to be ready to attack at any moment. He simply stood in place while staring at Aeden from behind the mask.  There was another heavy silence for a moment before the man gestured to himself and spoke "Zwei...". He stayed silent afterwards still expecting to be recognized now. The blood that dripped from the buzz saw had now formed a rather large puddle and small splatters of blood could be seen  on the bottom of the mans boot.

Aeden stared at the man for a moment ignoring all sounds around him. All he could hear were the soft sobs from Arryn. He did not say another word to the supposed Zwei, instead he sheathed his sword and walked over to Arryn kneeling down in front of her. "Come here Arry-boo Daddy's got you." Aeden lifted up Arryn trying to calm her down. "He's not a scary man. He's your Uncle Zwei. One of your Daddy's best friends." Aeden tries to fight it but a tears begin roll down his cheeks. "Your daddy thought he was dead but he's back." Aeden makes a big smile as he turns to Zwei. "He's really back."

Before Arryn realizes it she is picked up and comforted by Aeden. She wipes her eyes and smiles up at Aeden. "Thanks...daddy..."She turns and looks at the supposed Zwei and smiles. She always wondered what he looked like. Lucina looked at Zwei for a minute and stood there speechless asking herself. "What the hell happened to him..."

Without saying a word Zwei approached the young girl. He had gathered from how Aeden spoke to her that she was his daughter and the small boy must be his son. After a moment of thought he deduced that the girl who appeared to be the mother of the children and Aeden's wife was Lucina. He stopped when he was close to the girl before kneeling down to be at her height. He raised a gloved hand and placed it on the girls head and patted it in an attempt to help calm her. Zwei cracked a smile under the gas mask for the first time in 20 years while he did so.

Arryn calmed down as her supposed uncle Zwei pat her on the head. She smiled and looked at Zwei Ina curious manner.

As Arryn is petted by Zwei Aeden brings out his scroll and types out a quick message to Shem who he had kept in touch with over the years. 'Come to the house. We have a surprise.' As Aeden closes the scrolls he lifts Arryn back up. "Time to head home Arry-boo." Aeden looks over at Zwei and grins. "You have to come to too. We have a lot to catch up on." Marshall stood in shock after seeing the events that unfolded. He put away Deception after seeing Zwei was no longer a threat but the biggest surprise was seeing his father cry. He must mean a lot to dad. Wait a minute! Marshall quickly ran over to Aeden. "Dad did Uncle Zwei did you go to Beacon with you?" Aeden looked over at his son. "Yes he did, Son that's where we met." Marshall's eyes quickly lit up and he ran over to Zwei. "FIGHT ME UNCLE ZWEI!"

((Time Skip to the Kase Household))

Lucina opened the large door the the mansion inside. She say down on the couch in front of the large fireplace and took off her hat exhausted from the walk. She called the new butler and asked for a glass of ice water. Arryn ran upstairs to go get Stabby and play outside for a bit.

Zwei entered the large mansion and appeared to be rather overwhelmed by the size of the house as his last house was a small trailer. He did not remove his dirty boots or anything else for that matter with the exception of his large and bloody buzz saw. The blood dripped onto the floor randomly as Zwei began randomly wandering within the room closest to the door. He wondered to himself if Aeden's son still wanted to fight but made no move to challenge the child but of course Zwei wouldn’t refuse the fight despite his opponent being a child.

*Aeden's scroll rings as a picture message is recieved. The picture shows of an ursa major, laying on the ground with a fist shaped dent in its head. In the background, there are more ursas coming out the bushes. The picture came with a captian from Shem.

"Be there in a few. Family outing. ~ Drakur"

Aeden walked into the house without a care in the world. After finding out Zwei was alive nothing could ruin Aeden's day. He walked in unbottoning his jacket and taking a seat at the couch next to Lucina. "Zwei make yourself at home!". As Aeden begins to relax he notices his scroll making a sound. He checks it to see a message from Shem. "Looks like the Drakur's thought it was a good idea to got out as well." Nearby Marshall was eyeing Zwei. He knew better than to draw his weapon in the house. He didn't like his mother but he knew to fear her when she got mad. He walked over to Zwei once again. "Uncle Zwei. I'll try this again." Marshall looks at Aeden. "Look dad they taught us how to make a formal challenge at school." Marshall turned back to Zwei without any of the emotion he showed his father. He puts both hands behind his back put his feet together. "I Marshall Kase, formally request a spar. Do you accept Uncle Zwei?" Aeden looks over in curiosity. "Oh you wanna challenge Uncle Zwei? Marshall I'll tell you this now Uncle Zwei and I were pretty evenly matched and you've never beaten me." Aeden looks at Zwei. "Zwei if you're up for it I'll be the referee."

Lucina sat on the couch looking extremely tired. She closed her eyes and put her arm around Aeden saying. "How you holding up over there honey?"

Arryn walked downstairs with Stabby looking as majestic as ever....

Zwei turned to face Marshall and looked at him from behind the gas mask for a moment and sized him up. After a moment Zwei copied Marshalls stance before speaking "Accept..." he spoke with the gravelly voice he had developed. He nodded to Aeden before moving back to where he left his bloody weapon and lifted it. He dragged the giant buzz saw behind him as he moved towards the gardens area. After arriving Zwei stood silent before hefting the weapon in both hands and flicking a switch. The weapon roared to life and the sound was overwhelmingly loud as the brutal looking blade began spinning at extremely high speeds. He would wait in place for Marshall and then for Aeden to signal the beginning of the duel.

Marshall jogs behind Zwei trying to keep up. When they meet at the gardens Marshall draws his blades and prepares to leap at Zwei only to be stopped by Aeden. "Marshall this is how you get hurt. I haven't even said start yet." Marshall slinks back to his position slightly embarrassed. "Sorry dad." With renewed energy he draws his weapon and faces Zwei. Aeden stands to the side holding up his hand. "On my signal begin. Marshall stay calm and assess the situation." Aeden looks at both fighters and quickly brings his hand down. "BEGIN!" Marshall charges at Zwei taking in his large size and weapon into account. Can't be direct. As Marshall closes in he darts to the right in a diagonal direction and makes it to Zwei's back he keeps low to the ground and sends a kick to the back a Zwei's knee.

The attack finds its point but causes little effect as Zwei stands strong to the attack and hardly reacts to the attack. Instead of using his giant buzz saw to attack Zwei pivots on his foot and swings the buzz saw above Marshall not as an attack but for momentum (and to scare him because...its a fragging giant buzzaxe). Using the momentum from the swing Zwei would aim a quick kick to the side  of Marshalls head with his bloody and dirty boot.

Aeden watches as the match progress but takes his scroll out sending a quick message to the head maid, 'Virgo we have a bit of a mess in the foyer could you send someone to take care of it and please be discreet about it. Make sure Lucina does not find out.' He closes the scroll and looks back at the match. Mashall can see the kick coming, it seemed to move in slow motion as he lifted his hands to stop it. This gonna hurt. The kick connects and knocks Marshall back a few feet. "You call that a kick? Arryn would destroy you." Marshall puts up a tough exterior but its obvious the kick had a big effect on him. Marshall once again throws caution to the wind and charges at Zwei but this time coming from the air. "Eat this!" He brings Deception down in an arc with lightning dust channeling the blade trying to paralyze Zwei."

Arryn ran outside to see uncle Zwei having a match with Marshall. She skipped over next to Aeden and said. "Go Marshall! You can do ittt!"

Zwei gripped the handle of the buzzaxe once again and squeezed the lever near the handle. The blade spun faster than before and the sound of the weapon  was so loud nearly hurt at this point. He blocked the attack from Marshall first. The lightning travelled through Zwei's weapon and zapped him. As arcs of electricity danced on Zweis body  it was obvious this was none more than a static shock to him. He would then push Marshall while he was in mid-air and the wind up his buzzaxe and rev it further. He soon after swung the brutal weapon toward Marshal (after slowing the spin of course). The weapon was aimed to catch the boy in the chest.
