A Weekend at the Evans Household [Closed]

Sarah laughs wildly. "Oh please! A scrawny little punk like you? You'd get shot your first day!" Across the table, Maria ducks down slightly. Petra bangs her hammer on the table. "Sarah. That's enough."

Shem's face darkens as his eyes flash red. "You'd be surprised..." Shem's face returns to normal with a confused look and looks at Indigo and changes the subject. "Well, Indigo is doing well in school. She helped me a lot with her aura abilities. She saved my life."

Sarah breathes out her nose. Maria sits up and watches her twin carefully. Petra relaxes a bit. "Uhh, Yeah. That's kinda how we started going out." A deafening silence hangs in the room. Maria stands fro her seat and begins collecting dishes.

Shem decides to break the silence. "Well dinner was great, thank you Maria." He looks and smiles at Maria and looks at Indy. "Yeah since then we've been together. I guess I was the damsel in distr-" Shem stops and thinks of what he just said. "-nevermind." Shem blushes.

Indigo fake coughs to warn Shem. "Oh no, please continue."

Shem looks at Sarah, "nothing, just me not thinking before speaking. Our teamwork inside my aura saved my life. If it wasnt for her, Id be dead though and now im glad shes in my life." Shem smiles at Indigo.

Sarah chuckled. "I'm surprised you made it this far without getting killed, honestly." Across the table, Petra glared at Sarah, reminding Sarah of her presence. Indigo excuses herself for the bathroom, giving Shem a warning look.

Shem acknowledges Indy's look with a smile and looks at the three remaining girls. "So...what's up?" Shem asks awkwardly trying for it to not be silent. After a second of silence he looks over to Sarah. "You know, Im not all that bad. I personally think Im a nice guy and a good boyfriend to Indigo..."

Sarah smiles sadistically. Rising from her seat, she drops her maces on the table. Leaning over to Shem, she whispers "Feel like proving it?" Maria puts her hands over her face. Petra, feeling the battle is lost, she stretches and heads for the door. "Try not ta break anything alright? Indigo won't be happy if ya kill 'er boyfriend."

"Here? Now?" Shem leans back in his chair. He looks at Petra leave the room and after what she said Shem continues his one word questions. "kill? me?" Shem looks down for a second and looks back up a little angry. He stands up and looks at Sarah in her eyes. "What do you have against me? Are you not happy that your sister is happy no matter who she's with?"

Sarah is surprised by Shem's sudden display of courage. "Nothing personal, I just hate arrogant little bastards who dare to call themselves fighters when they're very clearly not. Now... If you want to try and prove yourself, I'd be happy to kick your ass." Maria chimes in. "Wait! He hasn't got his weapon! And you should fight outside! Not in here with breakable things! Besides, you fight better outside anyway!"

"Then let's go outside...." Shem walks out the room to get Gleipnir.

Indigo emerges from one of the doors in the hallway and meets Shem headed up the stairs. "Hey! Where are you going? We haven't even had desert!"

Shem walks past her and stops. "I need to prove my love for you to your sister....and apparently Im doing this without Ragnarok...." He continues walking to the room and grabs Gleipnir, holding it in his hands. "Ok buddy, you and me." He turns the blades on to start spinning slowly, just a check to see if everything is functioning correctly and heads outside.

Indigo stood there stunned. "What! Dammit Shem! I told you not to fight her!" She follows him trying to slow him down, "She kills people for a living! Why aren't you stopping!"

Red sparks zap around Shem's body for a split second. "I need to prove myself, Indigo. I dont want to lose you due to me being a coward. I love you and I need to do this." He looks back at Indigo, his playful, innocent eyes now deadlocked and serious. "Ragnarok isnt helping me, so I need to do this alone...."

Indigo grabs Shem by the collar and kisses him, hoping it wouldn't be their last. When she withdraws, tears are welling up in her eyes. She breaths in hard, steadying herself. "She fights with two maces. She'll try to disorient you with lots of dodging and circling. Try not to get too close, you have a longer weapon, but she's far faster. Strike fast. Don't worry about heavy hits, She'll just dodge them." Indigo hugs Shem tightly. "I love you. Don't die, okay?"

Shem hugs Indigo tightly too. "I love you too. I promise I wont die." Tears formed in his eyes as well as he tries to fight them back. He lets go of her and breaths deeply. "Welp. Here I go!" Shem smiles at Indigo with that innocent smile she liked. He turns and walks down the stairs to go outside. He puts his hands on the door handles and pushes through the doors to the upcoming duel.

When Shem exits the house, he is greeted by Maria, carrying a large staff on her back and an oversize revolver in a holster on her waist. Leaned against a tree not far away, Sarah spins one of her maces in between her fingers, the other sits in a pouch hanging from her belt. "Well how about that. Looks like you've got a backbone after all. I'm gonna have fun breaking it." With that she pushes off the tree and draws her second two headed mace.

Shem walks out to the battle area and takes Gleipnir off his back and holds it in front of him blades begin to spin at a high speed. Shem doesnt say a word but stares Sarah down.

Indigo emerges from the house. Sarah takes a battle stance. Maria draws her staff to mediate the fight. "On your mark, punk."

Shem hides his nervousness, "Ladies first".

Sarah smirks. "Your funeral." With the force of a charging bull, Sarah closes the gap in seconds, swinging downwards with her left arm and thrusting forward with her right.

Shem jumps to the left and comes to a sliding halt. Instead of attacking her, he runs to get distance from her and splits his sword in 2, throws Huginn in the ground and turns Muninn into its gun form and fires at her. Got to keep my distance from her.

Sarah jumped behind a nearby tree with bullets flying past her head. Gritting her teeth in anger, she splits Crash into two maces. Intent on distracting him, she runs out from behind the tree and throws one half at Shem, deflecting bullets with the other half and with Boom.

Shem tries to shoot the flying mace off its course but gets hit in the chest with it, sending him a few feet back, knocking the breath out of him and Muninn from his hands. He looks up at the situation, trying to regain his breath and makes a run for his swords.

Indigo winces as the mace knocks Shem backward. Sarah is on top of Shem in seconds, Swinging her right foot aimed at his face. "Too slow!" Indigo covers her face with her hands.
