A Wolf in Vale

"It's very cute! Don't deny it!" She scratches behind his ears again, laughing while she does so. "Submit to my tickle scratches!"

The boy's pupils dilate as he is lulled into a dull stupor. He pulls away sharply, covering his ears with his hands
"Hey!"

She flinches a little as he pulls away. "S-sorry... I got a little carried away."

The irritation fades from his face "It's ok. Just remember, use your powers wisely" he winks, dispelling the tension.

Hira awkwardly laughs and scratches the back of her head. "It works like that with the base of my horns, don't worry..."

"Oh really" Jacob raised an eyebrow, before advancing slowly, a mischievous grin appearing on his face.

"Noooo nononononono....." She mumbles as she backs off a little, a smile on her face.

"What's the matter?" Jacob asked, his tone slightly mocking "afraid that the big bad wolf might tickle your horns?"

While laughing, Hira trips and sits on a bench. "Woah! That's a bench."

Laughing, Jacob sat down beside her leaning back in order to watch the sky above.
"I't getting dark" he said, gesturing with a tilt of his head.

"It is..." She tries to sneakily scratch his ears again.

Failing to notice, he continues to stare up at the passing clouds.
"Should probably head back to the Emerald forest at some point."

She starts to intensely scratch behind his ears, giggling while she does so. "Couldn't you just stay in my dorm?"

Biting down hard on his lip, Jacob held back his usual response, using the opportunity to reach over and scratch Hira's horns.

She melts into his arms, her eyes looking dazed. "Hnnnng..."

"So that's what I look like" he smirks before stopping. Allowing Hira to regain her senses.

Uuuugh..... that felt so good... why am I laying down? Hira blinks up at him from his lap, then immediately starts blushing. "Hehehe...."

"I can see why you do that" Jacob grinned. He yawned, stretching his arms and arcing his back "I think I need to turn in for the night" he grunted, attempting to blink away his tiredness.

"Want to come back to where I sleep? I'm sure I have room there for one more." Hira mumbles as she stretches.

"Sure" reaching for his back Jacob climbed to his feet "so long as it's not an intrusion."

Standing with him, Hire snorts at what he said. "Well it's partially because I'm cold most of the time so you're being my heater."

Jacob blushed "Oh" he paused momentarily "you mean sleep, like... next to each other?"

Picking up her armor case she gives him a confused look. "Yeah, is there something wrong with that? I thought that was normal since when the village had a meeting all the kids, me included, would sleep in a large pile pretty much."

"Nothing wrong with it" Jacob replied hastily "just, not used to it is all." He shoved his hands in his pocket "I'm a lone wolf."

Hira rolled her eyes at what Jacob said before starting towards the bottom of the Beacon cliff. "Come on, let's just go. You'll get used to it."

The towering spires of the academy loomed above him, like vast marble trees. Jacob's eyes widened as Hira lead him across the campus
"You live here?" Jacob asked.

Casting a cursory glance over her shoulder, the Tanker responds. "Yeah. I just have a much smaller dorm since I don't live with a team. It's not too bad though it's always cold."
